This is a nice little Starbucks tucked into a busy shopping strip along Kennedy. It has limited seating inside and outside, so you could hang out to do work or homework but it's not as convenient as some locations in that sense. This Starbucks location features friendly employees and yummy drinks. Their seating includes two small tables and a big rectangular table that seats eight. Although the seating isn't compatible for multiple small groups, I think it's okay as most patrons order and leave the store to enjoy their tasty sweet treat on the go or at home. I would absolutely vouch for this specific Starbucks location. I used my 100 stars to get an iced green tea but I added milk, matcha powder, and cold foam on top to create a matcha latte with my rewards. This is definitely a fun hack you can do to get a free matcha latte. I also only drink half of the venti so I saved the second half for the next day. This hack is well worth it. Even though the app says "splash" of milk, you can customize the add on to say extra milk. while also adding more than one milk. I did a combination of soy, almond, and coconut. No gatekeeping here, try this hack for yourself! Next time, I want to try the pumpkin cold foam and the pecan cold foam! The matcha one isn't unique enough in my opinion and it doesnt add any contrast on top a matcha latte. read more

Full confession: I'm not a coffee connoisseur (I'm here for the tea: hi, chai)... and honestly, this is the first time I've stayed and sipped inside at a Starbucks. So, while I can't offer any insight as to how this place stacks up to other locations, I can tell you: on a sunny weekday morning it's warm and welcoming, busy and bustling and as comforting as the chai tea latte I mentioned-and the spinach and egg white wrap I hadn't. (Both are yum, by the way!) This location is in the Town Square strip mall, in between Panera Bread and the (much missed!) Pier 1 store (now Barnes and Noble). It's across from the Westshore Grand Hotel. There's a parking lot, that admittedly gets busy and a little cramped at prime times-but give it 20-30 minutes and it will calm down. It was hopping when I first came in around 8 am, but now, at 10-it's quieter. There's not a ton of seating but the crowd ebbs and flows. There seems to be a ton of regulars-the baristas know them by name and greet them. I snagged a great spot in the back, where I could people watch and soak up the gorgeous morning light and savor every drop/morsel of the vittles I purchased. (That wrap was much bigger than I expected-very tasty and so filling/satisfying!) I didn't expect to be here today, but I'm so glad I am. I'll remember this location next time errands bring me this way. The staff is super efficient. They'll get you in and out with a smile. Come see them-and look for me in the back corner. read more

Grab and go was easy peasy. We popped in after finding a location that was nearby to the hotel we had stayed in and this one popped up. We were greeted right away and our orders were up very quickly. Drinks were made as ordered and staff was nice. This one does not have a drive thru and the inside seating was closed, but they did have a limited amount of outside (uncovered) seating if you really wanted to hang out. Overall: A Easy in and out for a grab and go coffee, but no drive thru and lack of covered seating. read more

Came in to try out the Mango Dragonfruit at Starbucks. Awsome refreshing drink. This exotic magenta color drink has a bursting sweet tropical flavor you can't resist. I've always heard about the benefits of Dragonfruit, but what I like from this drink is that it comes with real red fleshed dragon fruit (aka Pitaya) that makes it sweet without needing to add sweetener on it. I waited 10 min. for my friend's Ham & Cheese Croissant...they forgot and I even got there early before the 2pm BOGO rush. Whatever - this location feels scatter brained to me. This is one of my favorite locations in Tampa because of the convenience of having the Panera and FitLife Foods only a few steps away. The baristas here are very nice and already know me by name. Some I've noticrd have been there a few years already. One I know always has a cheerful attitude when I interact with. That's always a good sign for consistency and knowing that they must be happy there. I love how they are well stocked with a variety of sandwiches (sometimes depending on location they cam be hard to find). My order is also always correct when I come here (even though it helps that as a looooong time customer of Starbucks I know how to order). I love to come here for their delicious sandwiches for lunch and a drink on my way to work since its fast and convenient. Visited this Tampa, FL location this past Sunday, December 3rd, 2022 around 11:35am and the person in charge of the food was throwing the food in the counter like if she was serving birds. Couldn't get her name but she was a heavy set person with poor attitude and not wanting to work at all. You just don't throw people's food! Go here almost every morning before work and while the staff is usually very polite I always seem to have issues with consistency. There's been a handful of times they've forgotten parts of my order (ex. cream cheese missing from bagel bag) and i've noticed when I order a grande coffee it's always great, but anytime I size up to a venti it always without fail tastes and looks like it's been watered down even though all of the ratios are made to be the same. I've also had 2-3 instances of my cold foam having a super odd combination of tastes to it which makes me think maybe equipment isn't being properly rinsed out before mixing new cold foams. I want to love it because it's the most convenient stop on my way to work but with the amount of money i'm spending a week to stop in I just wish it was better. read more

I wouldn't normally write a review for a place like Starbucks but I felt like this time I needed to, because both times we went here while in Tampa our orders came out wrong. The first time we ordered two ham & Swiss breakfast sandwiches (along with our coffees). We were given (and charged for) 3 sandwiches. We didn't realize we had been charged for three initially because we chose not to waste paper by taking a receipt. It wasn't worth the hassle to get a refund for the extra sandwich we didn't need; there was a long line and we had waited about 20 minutes for our coffees. Our second visit, the following day, I ordered a white chocolate mocha, and received a regular (not white) chocolate mocha. I didn't realize it until we were already out of the store, when again, it wasn't worth the hassle to go back and have it fixed. They weren't busy this time and I was very clear when I ordered that I wanted white chocolate. Maybe just a coincidence, but it left me feeling annoyed that a simple order was incorrect on two different occasions, back to back and with different staff working each time... I think this is a great Starbucks location in Tampa. It's located on the corner of a busy intersection, at Kennedy and Westshore, making it equally accessible for you to leave and go take care of multiple things that you need to do in the area or, for you to come from various locations in the area to take a quick coffee break. Unlike Starbucks locations that are closer to downtown, this location is located in a plaza with ample parking, making it a more stress free option when you are on your coffee run. The inside of the store is spacious, with lots of table seating. I also really like the addition of high top table seating in the middle of the store. It makes for a more communal feel and it also allows slightly larger groups of people to congregate and meet up, always a plus for a coffee shop. The staff here are courteous and take care of your drink or food orders fast. And the bathrooms are quite clean, another plus considering the high volume of people that pass through the store. Will definitely drop by if I'm in the area again :) read more

Wow. Quite possibly the worst Starbucks experience. Came in with a couple friends, one of which lives down the road and usually avoids this terrible Starbucks. I asked the cashier if the "salted cream cold foam cold brew" could be made as nondairy. He said of course and gave me my milk options. I went with coconut milk. My friend then said she wanted the same thing but with soy milk. He then asked if she wanted it hot or cold. Idk how cold brew can be hot he then said he thought she wanted a salted caramel mocha. We clarified what we wanted. As we waited for our drinks, the barista sneezed in his hands and had a huge snot rocket. Gross. He then walked to the back, wiped his hands and came back out. Def wasn't back there long enough to wash them. He stood around behind the bar and a girl I assume was the shift lead motioned to him to wash his hands. So he rinsed them. Kept sniffling and touching his nose. Not who you want making your drinks, especially when you have a 7 week old, as my friend does. He should not have been working in food service. Point blank. If you are sick, do not work around food. My friend asked the supervisor if someone else could make our drinks because of what we witnessed. As she was asking this, I see him blending heavy cream for our drinks, which of course, does not fall into the nondairy category. He hands us one of them and we don't even want to touch it. The supervisor sends him on break and comes in to remake our drinks. She asks if our drinks are the "salted caramel mochas", which clearly homeboy rang in wrong so we let her know what we actually want. She then says it's made with heavy cream so I point out that the cashier told me it could be made nondairy. He says "oh I thought you wanted salted caramel mochas". I asked if I could get something else since i don't want dairy and they say they'll try to make it nondairy. Which btw, totally possible but might not be as foamy. After being in here 15-20 minutes for 3 drinks, to say i was frustrated was an understatement. There was no apology, no service recovery, nothing. Definitely need to retrain this staff, never seen such an incompetent bunch. The shift lead seemed to be the only one who knew what she was doing, understood food allergies, and cared about her job/customers. read more

It is crowded in the mornings as people from the office buildings are coming to get their fuel, however the stuff is really friendly here, they have beautiful mugs and cups for sale, inside seating area and parking right in front. read more

I've read other reviews of this Starbucks and most are complaining of the lines. Its important that you remember that this particular location is in a very densely populated section of Tampa. You have all of Westshore / Parts of South Tampa and the business district coming to this one location. I've also thought the lines were very long too but just last week I was about 7th in line and 10 people piled in behind me and I was at the register is less than 5 minutes. I had my 4 very custom drinks in less than another 5 minutes and I was on my way. Very surprised. Obviously its not the fastest location out there but its super convenient and in the middle of everything. Have you gone to a Starbucks in Manhattan or Boston? This location would feel like a breeze. First Starbucks that didn't write Jade when I told them my name! I mean... they still spelled my name wrong, but at least it was some form of my name. They got my order right, and were very quick about it. I noticed they get a lot of mobile orders, and they are very good about dealing with those while simultaneously handling the orders in store. I got my coffee very quickly. There is plenty of seating, and the bathroom is clean. If you are looking for outlets, there are a few good spots to plug in.
