You know times have changed when you're ecstatic to visit a non-drive-through Starbucks store, which seem few and far between currently. This location is like a throwback to the old days when you could walk in, have a nice chat with a barista who actually seems interested in taking your order (because they aren't pummeled by an assembly line of orders), and find a comfy seat to relax in because it hasn't been remodeled for mobile-only. I visited this location three times in the mid-morning when we stayed nearby and it was a joy. Nice easygoing staff, well-made lattes, not busy at all. People hanging out with laptops, like a time warp. Airy, bright, happy. At least, it made me happy and I hope you have a similar experience! read more

The new company policies have left a bad taste in my mouth. I've been a long time consumer of Starbucks (especially at this location) but a recent situation has changed everything for me. Me and peers were giggling and chatting when one of the ladies accidentally slipped and dropped her water in another ladies lap, then a mean vicious worker told us to stop "poney playing" in a rude voice. We were then talking again and he told us to be quiet again even though we were the only ones in the store. Finally I was leaving as the ladies said goodbye and my wife bit me. If you are going to change a policy to enforce mask wearing have: 1. The decency to provide masks for the first week to allow customers not to walk 2 miles to not be served 2. This store shows online that is is open at 5.30. It is not. The other Starbucks locally have updated hours to reflect Thanksgiving but this one clearly felt it was too much effort to let people know they aren't open when their website says they are. This Starbucks is as good as it gets. They just opened and their store is the greatest in the area. Parking garage, self parking, street parking nearby. Employees were helpful and attentive. Ice coffee, two venti waters and an americano all made to perfection. Store was quiet and slow- not many customers there on a Monday night. This is the slowest store in the district because it is on a road that is just now being developed. After getting drinks and taking a bathroom break- we headed to the outdoor seating and enjoyed the ambience. Def worth a visit! read more

I'm not going to lie; I am disappointed in this Starbucks this morning. I regularly go to this Starbucks weekly, at least twice a week. So from that, you can allude to the fact that I have spend a decent amount of $$ here. This morning, I grabbed $5 from my money jar and went down to grab some egg bites. When she was checking me out, I was short 30 cents. Never in my life do I think that I should be given something, but the fact that I use this Starbucks 3-5 a week for the past year, I didn't really think they would turn my order away because I was short ~quarter. Well, they did, and it is very disappointing. I don't want this to reflect on any of the other kind baristas that work here, they are great and always want to accommodate you, but this was disappointing. UPDATE: I am a college student, so I always grab my Starbucks for the morning the night before (@9 PM, closing) so I do not have to make the walk when it is hot the next day. As I was pouring my drink this morning, it tasted like straight up milk. So, I poured it out and brought the label & receipt with me to ask them to remake it for me. When I returned to the store, she refused to remake it and refuted with an irritated, brash response. This is just so highly frustrating as I spend upwards of $25 here... A WEEK. read more

Very poor service I have been to Starbucks from downtown Manhattan to Hawaii and never have a had to wait for a simple cup of coffee. This review is long overdue. I worked in this business park for a while and stopped by Starbucks daily (sometimes more than once). I took for granted the staff here. They knew my name and order(s) and got everything right. There was once when I thought I clicked "order" on the app and to my dismay there was no coffee waiting. They made me my order at no cost even though it was 100% my mistake. Just unbelievable customer service that you don't get from most chains. Now that I've changed work locations I'm on the hunt for a new Starbucks and everywhere else is soooo disappointing. Orders are wrong, late, people are rude... you get it. Not What Howard Envisioned! Evidently on-line orders consume this understaffed location. First, you could not get any of the employees to smile no matter how hard you try. Trust me, they hate their job. They make it tougher on themselves by not clarifying orders. Regardless of the crowd waiting for drinks, the staff has zero sense of urgency. If they were nice, perhaps I could overcome a 20 minute wait for hot tea. A cup of hot water and a tea bag. 20 minutes. Bad attitude. I do not get this store. After some super slow service, barista basically makes up something about my drink "taking a long time to make," and blah blah. As he makes 3 other drinks before getting mine out. So I ask about that as it was not really busy and I'm waiting... and waiting. Basically makes something up (kind of like lying) and then tells me I'm wrong. I talked to the manager. I'm done going here. They ought to bring in the fantastic baristas from the Louetta store. I work in Hughes Landing and stop 2-3 time per week at this Starbuck, mostly for morning coffee. The were 3 gentlemen working the morning shift for a while, and recently I have noticed is 2 girls and a gentleman; all different from previous morning shift. This new shift needs to step it up, my drink are never right with this new group. I ask for a specific higher temperature, because I like my drinks scolding hot, other Starbucks get it right every time, this one gets it wrong every time... My lattes are lukewarm at best :( Today was specially disappointing because not only was my drink barely warm after a 4 minutes walk back to my office, it was half full (I guess there was too much foam and the just over looked it and tasted awful! (it was a grande white mocha) So sad! I can at least stick my drink in the microwave, but I can't make more appear or add white mocha flavor. It would not be fair to just point out the negative: ALL employees at this location are very nice, always greet you with a smile and are attentive. This is a newer Starbucks in the new Hughes Landing development (the Woodlands). I like this location because they sell their Reserve coffee. We used to have to order online or pick up when we were in Houston. We like to try new beans and make them at home. The Reserve cup is pricey but it is solid cup of joe. The only issue I have is that the parking is limited. read more

Great location. There is always a steady stream of customers but the line is never overwhelming. The staff is friendly and efficient. The wifi is not that strong, but there is plenty of comfortable seating. The seating outside is also well maintained. They always accommodate me by taking my order quickly when they see I have my dog outside and they always have a special treat for him. read more

Yes it may be a new location, but the baristas still know how to pump out the coffee. Also due to its newness, it is generally not overly busy (except weekday mornings, see below). This location has, by far, the nicest ambiance in the woodlands, and I haven't received a bad coffee yet. I frequent this location and by now, the baristas know my order, which is nice touch on their part (a tall flat white(I highly recommend trying it)). My only complaint is it can be a bit dirty after the weekday morning rush which is expected I guess, though generally, the service is good, the space is clean and the wifi works well for studying. If they can keep it clean in the mornings, it's a 5 star shop. read more

I work 2 blocks away from this Starbucks so I literally go there almost every day. For the most part the staff is decent. The 2 stars are because it's not anything special; average service and the barista Patrick is super rude! He's not friendly at all; I usually greet people and smile at them. Today he took my order and he just looked at me like I was stupid. I'm so insulted by his petulance and poor customer service that I'm considering finding another option to not go there almost everyday.
