This is my go to Starbucks because it's on my way home from orangetheory (weirdly a lot of things I do go back to OTF ) But I love this location every barista I've had whether it be 8AM or 8PM has been so kind and helpful! Even during the height of COVID when this was one of the few NWI locations open then were always kind and timely with orders. Considering the drive thru (because the inside was closed) could be around the back of the strip and almost onto the side road I never felt I was waiting an exorbitant amount of time! I actually decided to FINALLY leave them a review after I stopped in last night and my usual guava drink was unavailable. Which was sad but the barista who's name I unfortunately did not get gave me some suggestions! I settled on the passion tango tea she recommended which is uncaffeinated (which at 8PM and a few hours after an energy drink I definitely didn't need caffeine)! It was an excellent drink and perfect for an after workout treat! And my mom also loves this location because it's one of the few local Starbucks that always has the peach flavoring! So I highly recommend this location! read more

i watched the male making my drink (that i paid almost $8 for) pour 2% milk into it two different times (the second was a remake, so that's wild) and then he lied about it. i ordered cream not milk. he told me the blue jug of 2% milk was heavy cream... even tasted it, it is milk.. i have worked at starbucks and ordered this drink for 5 years i'm not an idiot. then they messed up the refund. if they ever close one of the 5 starbucks in our city limits hope it's this one. read more

This is the best Starbucks in Valparaiso for accurate drink making and flavors. A lot of other ones in the area are not as accurate with flavors as Carmel drinks can end up being pretty bitter. Now here's some cons about this location - No indoor seating open - Drivethru is extremely long most of the day (we're talking 40 minute waits) - Walk-in orders take 5-10 minutes to make - Pick up orders either are running behind OR (like the last time I was there) They ignore you for 5-10 minutes while you're standing at the counter before acknowledging you're picking up a drink that's been ready and is paid for. read more

woman in the drive thru made me cry when taking my order. she started taking my order when i wasn't even to the microphone and i tried being as nice as i can, like i always am when i'm at a starbucks because i am an ex starbies barista and i know how stressful it is to work there. but then she was rude to me. when the argument of people being rude in drive thrus comes up i always say the only people who are ALWAYS nice is this starbucks. but now i have to say that i had a bad experience there. and the drink that i get EVERYDAY tastes really weird and i'm afraid to drink it. i just wish people understood it is literally free to be nice and there is no point in ruining someone elses day just because you're having a bad one. read more

I visit (or my girlfriend, on my behalf visits) this location literally at least once per day. The staff is generally pleasant (especially when compared to the other Valparaiso location), but there are occasions when I feel that the service could be better. Particularly during times of high customer traffic and/or when lots of Frappuccinos need to be made, it seems like service is forgone for productivity, and it's during these times that I feel brushed off by the staff. This location can get pretty busy, in their defense, but to me a constant continuation of great service would simply boil down to staffing, scheduling, workload prioritization, etc. so that every customer, no matter the time of day, can have a good experience. I do recommend this location, especially above the other Starbucks location in Valparaiso, but I'd also encourage you to try another local favorite of mine, the Blackbird Café, located in Downtown Valparaiso, if you feel that your experience is similar to what I've written above. It'd also be nice if Starbucks would open a third store in Valparaiso, but that's neither here nor there. read more

I like Starbucks for the convenience and choice of drink size. This last visit I got a Carmel macchiato and to be honest, it tasted like regular coffee with cream. Couldn't taste any Carmel. One thing I do like is the friendly woman (I believe her name is Mary) who works the drive thru. read more

Just moved to the area & am so happy to have Starbucks as my neighbor. LOVE the online app to place my order run in & pick up. Was confused @ first since there is a shop in target as well, so when placing online order make sure it's not the target location. Which is a block away so no bigge. Absolute worst customer service from a Starbucks that I have received. I ordered, took a seat and waited on my name to be called. 15 minutes went by with no call of my name. I walk up to the counter and ask have you called Jamie, I get a response of "what?" and a turn of the back and walk away. My food was cold as well as my coffee. Seriously, only use this as a last, last, last resort. Like the truck stop-gas station coffee machine in the bathroom is out of order, last resort. The drive-thru is poorly designed and once you're in line, you're their hostage and at their mercy. And they are so slow. Where you start to think maybe they're closed slow, and you're waiting in this dead line slow. Staff is not pleasant-newsflash: nonfat milk is skim milk. Quick and friendly! They understand the concept of "very little cream" unlike the Portage Sbux on Rt 6. This Sbux is great:)

This location has the new pastries and they all look so good! As usual, it is a very clean environment and the staff is extremely polite. My favorite feature of this location is the big, leather chairs in the corner with the ottomons! read more

Nice staff, good management and good service. Its a bit off the freeway, maybe 1 mile, but a great spot if traveling.

We've been here twice - on both our visits to see some friends in Valpo. There is plenty of seating, the staff is pretty quick, and of course, the drinks are what you'd expect. read more

I have never been at a Starbucks where the Employees are so rude. The drive-through was blocked by a semi truck delivering to the next-door business. I alerted the staff at Starbucks to try and be helpful and the employee behind the counter about bit my head off told me there was nothing she could do about it and immediately copped an attitude. I was only trying to be helpful I wasn't asking her to do anything about it however she acted is if I was asking her for her firstborn child. The Starbucks is also inconsistent with their beverages. Sometimes they're tasty and sometimes they're terrible. I'll go to a nearby café and order my five dollar coffee before I go back to this starbucks ever again. I forgot to mention my order was wrong but didn't want to prolong my misery so I didn't turn around. read more

An ok Starbucks. The drinks always taste a bit off, no matter what I order. But hey, it's coffee! I read the reviews under me. There is literally only one lady that is rude. Everyone else is exceptionally polite. Nice amount of seating inside but the counter is awkward, as one guy stated in his review. They always look uncomfortable when you go in to order....as if they have tails that they wanted no one to see. read more
