This is one busy store. We stopped by a couple of times on way back to hotel after shopping on bustling Hobson. Baristas were friendly and service was brisk. We usually were able to find a seat to rest our tired feet and enjoyed our lattes before heading back to hotel. They had good merchandise selection and we bought souvenir mugs to commemorate our Vancouver visit.

Damn it's the same in another country! Starbucks may not be the best brew but it's consistency is around the globe! Frank gives a thumbs up for that alone! Enjoy $5 coffee it's awesome!

Everyone knows this place as the intersection with the 2 Starbucks kitty-corner to each other. The location was surprisingly quiet on a Monday night. Mind you, it wasn't empty. One thing I did like though is the couple of tall tables in the middle of the bar space. Sometimes one may not want to sit in a sofa. The only minus is the sheer number of steps. There are several different levels here (separated by 1-4 steps), which means you may trip if you're not careful.

Standard fare Starbucks with all the selection that we used to. Bathroom is very busy, long line always, but makes sense since only bathroom in the area. Plenty of seating to relax to when getting your caffeine fix!

I was craving a refreshing drink all day. Finally pop in quickly to grab my drink and of course there is a huge line up which could have been assisted a bit more efficiently, but it looked as though they were understaffed. I ordered my drink and it was good but it wasnt full to the top....I was sort of shocked. Not cool I paid for a full drink...that's what I should get. No apologies were given.

Nice ! Whats better than having two Starbucks on the same block? Having another Starbucks diagonally across the street form the 1100 Robson st corner = ) got me some nice coffee here and with the exchange rate, paid less than in the US , muah -hahah Mos def yelp-commend this spot !

First day of fall, and they were sold out of pumpkin spice lattes. Really Starbucks?

First day of fall and I went for a pumpkin spice latte... sold out? Really Starbucks? There is one on every corner, you can't transfer product over to your location to make your guests happy? I also went to the Starbucks at the Westin in Vancouver a few days later and they were also sold out. I walked out and didn't purchase a thing. So disappointed.

Favorite Bucks in the city! Located in the historical Manhattan Bldg, on the corner of Robson and Thurlow, this Starbucks has a quaint and cosy feel to it. Smaller than most average surburban Starbucks this location has a super friendly feel.

    Wished my Starbucks did this..,.

I think it was one of those Cherry Blossom Food Festivals that brought this place to my attention…read moreabout a year or two ago. Been wanting to try it for awhile and now I finally have. We ordered the following: Tiramisu Latte Caprese Bite London Fog Apple Cookie Cherry Matcha Tonic Tiramisu Sea Salt Caramel Gelato The Cherry Matcha Tonic was pretty but wasn't too crazy about the flavor. I should have just gone with my original gut instinct and chosen a hot beverage like Hojicha Latte or something like that. I was sort of thirsting for something cooler for a change though, and the Cherry Matcha Tonic was the first "cool" drink that caught my eye so I decided to go for it. Won't do that again. Everything else was good though. The Sea Salt Caramel Gelato was the star of the show! In the store there's a sign beneath their gelato section that says "Canadian Gelato Champion". I believe it after tasting the Sea Salt Caramel! They had Nama Chocolates too. I was tempted to get some but...only so much a person's wallet and waistline can handle at one time. Will try the Nama Chocolate some other time. You can order in person here, or you can place an "Express" order at the Kiosk. We tried both ways of ordering. Ordered at the counter first and then after finished my Cherry Matcha Tonic decided I wanted to try the Sea Salt Gelato so then tried ordering that from the Kiosk. Most of the parking in this area is paid but I lucked out and got a free spot right around the corner from this place!

I could tell even from outside that it's a popular work and study type of coffee shop with your free wifi and outlets. I hope this post doesn't give it away and make it way too crowded for me to find a seat next time. There's a steady flow of people visiting the stores while I was there on a weekday between late afternoon and early evening but there's always extra seat for anyone new looking for a desk to work or chat with friends. A few could be better are the pricing and temperature. They offer free oat milk substitute and -$0.35 for bringing your own cup but no more employee discount. And it was so cold in there, I could see a lot of people kept their winter jackets on, I don't think it's a heating issue but the constant windy seems to suggest the AC is on rather than the heater, oh wells Im out of there now. For that reason, unless I'm bundled up, it'll be a hard sale to be back again! I got a hojicha latte and it as pretty good, perfect sweetness and temperature for my cold with no ice. The barista was super great to work with.

Knowing how good 49th Parallel is with coffee I thought I'd try their version of the London Fog. I wasn't disappointed. In fact it was best London Fog I've ever had. I've had them at other places but I've never seen a preparation like 49th. They use loose leaf Earl Gray tea in a tall paper tea bag. They put the bag in your cup pour the steamed milk in and the tea steeps right into the milk. It's the smoothest London Fog I've had and isn't cloyingly sweet like many I've had.

I was in need of a snack and this was a short walk from our hotel. 49th Parallel is well known for their thoughtfully sourced, house-roasted coffees and their cult-favorite donuts, but they also offer a small menu of sandwiches if you're looking for something more filling. It wasn't too busy when we got there, though most of the tables were taken. We ordered a mix of sweet and savory: the chestnut brûlée donut, a salted caramel old fashioned, and a couple of breakfast sandwiches--the Doug and the Cascadia--both served on soft, buttery brioche buns. My other half also grabbed an Americano to go with it all. The chestnut brûlée donut was my fav of the bunch. The chestnut flavor was perfectly balanced--nice and light. The sandwiches were also good, especially thanks to that pillowy soft brioche. Overall, 49th Parallel was the perfect stop for a small, simple snack! Would recommend.
