Great comfortable Starbucks near Costco. This particular location truly feels like a community option and I often like to stop here and do a little online browsing or listen to a little music while I have a cup of coffee or tea. Online and in-store ordering is always prompt and they're very friendly here. The seating area is clean and so is the bathroom. It's close enough to Costco to get some shopping done without any of the hectic feeling of going to a Waikele Outlets or Mililani Shopping Centers. Definitely one of my favorite Starbucks to hang out at since it's not too hectic around the area. read more

12-13-25 thanks St. Nick for No U Turns!!! What a weird thing to comment, right? To make a long story short I left the house at 7 am for Bud's last baseball game of the season. I got the call just before the Ka Uka intersection. Bud woke up with a fever. They are keeping him home. Ok I'll turn around. No U Turn sign prominent in view- oh looky there... Starbucks by the Okinawa Center saves the day!!! Made a left turn... Fast pull in...the staff in there are super nice, I didn't know where the drive thru lane was- surely a blessing. So I walked inside. I could take photos for Yelp while I waited for my order to be filled. Surprisingly, the two employees I encountered who bring your items to the organized counter by your first name, already labeled by alphabet groups so you knew where to look to retrieve your brew and goodies. I moved closer to the counter, a very smiley elf like person called out Gail and gave me the cheeriest smile so I said Happy Holidays and he in turn said it back. As I was turning around to leave, a different elf like person said thank-you to me. We both said Happy Holidays at the same time. Had to giggle. Just like you can't give a hug without getting one in return... The prep station further back was buzzing, so busy. I swear it was like Santa's workshop for coffee appreciaters and pastry lovers. Once I sipped my grande hot peppermint mocha, all sadness I entered with had vanished. If you can't make a visit to the North Pole, make a stop here if you're in the vicinity. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I ordered oatmeal from the Starbucks at Laniakea Plaza on the morning of July 24, 2026. Upon taking my second bite, I discovered a long strand of human hair mixed directly into the oatmeal. It was not sitting on the outside of the container--it was visibly tangled through the food. I documented everything on video. Realizing that I had already eaten from the bowl before discovering the hair was nauseating. Customers should be able to trust that food is prepared with basic cleanliness and proper hygiene. This was not a small mistake; it was a serious food-safety and sanitation failure. Management needs to investigate this immediately and review its food-handling and hair-restraint procedures with every employee. I will not return to this location, and I cannot recommend it to anyone after this experience. read more

I came here for breakfast while I waited for my car to be serviced. I walked in and the vibe was very welcoming and upbeat, right down to the music playing in the store. I ended up getting the grande Caffe Latte with oatmilk and the Bacon & Guyere Egg Bites. The barista who took my order was friendly and super helpful. I ended up eating in and was able to do some reading without feeling that I had to leave. If you happen to be in the area and want a quick breakfast, I recommend that you stop by here. read more

If looks can be deceiving.... Dining in it can be very mellow but I've never seen the consistency flow of cars going by the drive thru puts the fast food chains to shame. This is the Waipio location that's right next to Costco and thought that I needed a refuel after a busy adulting day and what better way than here at Starbucks. The cashier was very direct and automated though not rude just here to work thought incredibly busy drive thru the what seems to be a small staff does it without a sweat and is something to be very proud of. Parking at this little shopping corner is tight as it shares retail space with Pandas, Ramen Ya and few others, seating is limited inside with a counter with six stools while outside has about four two top tables though it's right beside the drive thru not sure if it's a relaxing vibe, but with a cup of Ice Pumpkin Spice Latte with Almond Milk and Pumpkin Cold Foam along with a warmed Spinach Feta Wrap is nothing to complain about at all. However, a few times it's not ready when expected and I end up waiting for them to make the order. Great little location to sit and do some work if you need a quiet space. Weekdays are calm. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The drive thru is of course busy but if youre able to park and come inside Id encourage it. The service was super quick and professional. I was able to get the merch and gift cards I needed, which surprisingly they have ample of. I'm bummed that there's no cooler to pick drinks and snacks from but maybe it's due to limited space as they still have a full menu to choose from. This place is like a restroom Nazi. I walked in the door dress appropriately. I don't even look or appear as if I am an undesirable person you know image is important right professionalism is important and I appear to be professional as far as what I am wearing in attire and the employee had the audacity to ask me if I have a order here because I wanted to use the restroom and mind you when I entered the restaurant I looked at my order instead of picking up my order, I decided to use the restroom first so I turned around, went towards the restroom and asked for the code of the restroom and then the lady or the barista decided to ask me if I have a order here or if I have a mobile pick up order so I end up telling her I do have one and my name is XYZ and then she then gave me the code to enter the restroom doing this is really really shocking because for one. I'm not just some shady person I'm dressed appropriately and professional, and I'm already looking at my drink prior to going to the restroom and me deciding to use the restroom to relieve myself to wash my hands to keep my hands clean before picking up my order that's my prerogative that's an incentive. That's something really important that I decide to do because it's sanitary. It's clean, but to be challenged in that way in that shape or form is uncalled for I should not feel that I should be challenged in that way let alone I already have an order and I already gaze at my order but decided you know what let's just use the restroom before I pick up the order and walk out the door into my car. That alone would've been a justification in itself instead of challenging me as if I'm some random person that doesn't have any business in Starbucks or like a random person. They have no business inside that that is not a customer that has no order awaiting to be picked up.. I feel that they should have better judgment or exercise better judgment in identifying who has a order and who doesn't have a order and what type of person these individuals are. I feel that all that is important because you get to analyze individual. and on top of that, it's really unfortunate because the restroom itself was dirty. It was filthy. There was toilet paper inside the rim, and there was also toilet tissue inside the room that was not flushed down so the upkeep and the maintenance and the cleans of the restroom is not up to part to begin with, and I could imagine what type of person that went in there before me. read more

I love Starbucks because of the convenience and availability. I just happened to stumble upon this particular Starbucks so I can only speak for the drive-they experience as I didn't go inside since it was really in an inconvenient location and the parking closest to the establishment was minimal. Unfortunately, even though I am mobile ordered... The communication within the service team was lacking as I had already mentioned my mobile order name at the speakerphone, however, the barista at the window was not in the loop. Also, there was a huge line for the drive-thru itself. I'm not too familiar with this neighborhood, but there either needs to be more Starbucks locations, or this one needs to have a little bit more efficient flow... I have never waited in such a long line for drive thru at a Starbucks before even on the mainland in busy cities. read more

As a worker from the UPS Store in the same plaza, we appreciate all that they do, I would have not survived some shifts without their drinks/food. Carpooled with my friend yesterday & decided to make a stop @ Starbucks Waipio (the one nearest to Costco). Once again, sanitary & cleanliness comes into place. Aside from our selected morning drinks, 2 pastries, and 2 trenta cups of ICE ONLY were ordered. Upon reaching my office, I opened up the lids to both venti cups (not a big deal with the size difference) of ice. Of the two, I found what appeared to be either 1) coffee stained spot w/some on the rim 2) possibly dirt from the floor (maybe cup fell). Id like to think its more coffee, but its still questionable considering it was supposed to be just ICE only. Whether it is or not does not matter being the cup should not have been re-used. And to top it off, we didn't realize our drink actually was not made accordingly & this was brought to my attention @ another Starbucks location when I used the previous order option. The barista at another location saw me pick up my drink from the counter & he kindly pulled me on the side. He pointed out that the order didn't look right & was confusing. I looked at it & I told him "yah thats not correct" & showed him how I ordered. He then proceeded to show me how to use the "favorite" feature so I can use it for future orders. Although he did make the drink, he also offered to re-make it if it wasn't to my liking. I didn't want to trouble him for another person errors and he was kind and patient enough to teach me something new, I didn't bother with the re-make. read more

I order the same thing every day. Yesterday and today's order was horrible. I spend way too much money to not get what I asked for. After contacting corporate customer support there was no resolution. Save your time and money and go to another coffee shop. Extremely disappointed in a big brand like Starbucks. Coffee with drive thru service! Need I say more? To kick off the holiday season my husband and I visited this drive thru located next to Costco in Waipio and we loved the quick service and of course the holiday drinks. You can never go wrong with their seasonal drinks particularly the peppermint mocha which is among our favorites served hot and cold. The best part is the sharing. The service was efficient and very friendly. Will definitely return for another holiday round at this location soon! read more

I ordered a venti strawberry açaí lemonade with no strawberry inclusions and I got strawberry inclusions. I didn't notice until I got to work that it had the strawberry inclusions so I went to Waikele to have the order corrected and I got a venti strawberry açaí with strawberry inclusion remnants after scooping them out. And it wasn't a lemonade. Is it really that hard?! The new cups don't make it any easier for the customer to see if the order is correct. I wish Starbucks would go back to the old cups because half the drink is being able to actually see it. . Maybe one day I'll get the order right. read more

Any Starbucks that serves inside and drive thru is going to be busy so give these guys some props. Some baristas at the drive thru actually make it a point to ask how your day is going and what u got planned. Some baristas on the other hand---u drive up to the window and ur sitting there for a minute waiting to be acknowledged.. not even a "hi...I'll be right with you." I get it.. they're busy. Ordered a caramel ribbon brunch frappe on my app when I first walked in. After about 10 minutes, I got a notification that it was done and to go to counter. It wasn't there. Asked about it and the girl in the back just blurted out it's not ready, there was a large order without checking on the status. I sit down for another 5 minutes and watched 3 customers walk in and get their newly made orders. So I ask again because my app is still showing it's completed. A thing that I don't like and it irritates me all the time is when I am trying to place my order thru the app, and I see the red warning that reads order ahead is not available at this location. I don't know why it does that all the time from 08AM-09AM, please tell me, why. Otherwise, this location is conveniently located on my way to work. If you are planning to pick up your order inside, know that they share a tiny parking space with the other million establishments in the strip. I recommend picking up in the drive thru, but it gets super busy especially during rush hour. Staff are meh, not rude but not very friendly either. I mostly order the travelers coffee here, and most times they get it right except that one time, they forgot to put a stopper on the cup of milk, it spilled over when I got to work. I frequent this Starbucks location at least once a week. I appreciate the drive thru, but the traffic it causes can be a bit of a mess in the parking lot. The lot just doesn't have enough space for the cars that come for the surrounding businesses. The layout is a bit awkward for a drive thru. But other than that, the actual space inside is nice. Good amount of tables and seating inside and out. Bathroom available for patrons. I will continue my weekly visits as long as baby doll has hula, otherwise I really have no business at this location... other than hunting for special tumblers! read more

Starbucks Waipio is my go to coffee place early in the morning on my way to work. Thank goodness they're open when I come by at 5am. Today I got a Hot Grande Caramel Brûlée latte. I got mines half sweetened, extra hot(to me it seems there's a better taste ), no foam( so you get more of the drink). I do enjoy Starbucks holiday drink but I get them half sweetened because it's sweet and high in sugar. I always drink a venti size water as well to rehydrate myself. Having my Starbucks drink on my way to work is one of my highlights to get my day started. read more

Very fast, clean, and convenient! Plus drive thru and mobile order!! I come here once in a while before my appointment, which is a few feet away. The baristas are always smiley and sends off good vibes. I feel that they communicate well with each other and are very professional. I can see during rush hours, the drive thru lane can get backed up and the parking lot is very cramped. But during down time, the place is nice and spacious. It has table and counter tops to relax and do work. One time, I had a drink that was a bit too sweet and they asked if I wanted a new one. It's nice to see that they notice my unhappiness with my purchase and offered to fix it immediately. A great stop to pick up a drink and get some errands done :) read more
