Having a craving for good Korean food and heading back to Honolulu from Kapolei, Moojigae comes to mind. Have had this place bookmarked ever since my yelp bud Rod U said it was a-ok! Staff super friendly. Truck is easy to find in the Waikele Outlet Mall just behind the Coach Outlet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of outdoor tented seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food is definitely flavorful. For me the bugolgi bordered on just a tad too salty HOWEVER it paired well with the delicious rice, fruit mac salad, and mild cabbage kimchee. Just had me eating more carbs than I usually do. That's a delicious problem! The seafood pancake nicely crisped. Flavor bursting, almost a cross between Korean pancake and Japanese vegetable tempura with a delicate sweetness to the batter. Wanted to try the original before hitting up the newly opened Moojigae in Kapahulu. Would I come back. Absolutely!
The staff is always so nice and pleasant. We love their kimchi pancake! Sorry, it is so good I just dug right in and forgot to take a picture. Sadly, prices have gone up again.
Takeout lunch from Waipahu, O'ahu, Hawaii... I saw Deborah and Gabriel check in at this food truck - which reminded me to try 'em... Rainbow Stream has been around a while at the Waikele Premium Outlet. Go to the corner where COACH is... there's a bunch of food trucks in that back parking lot. Rainbow Stream is the first one... silver (metal) in color. I ordered the kalbi plate and opened the container at home. The fragrance was wonderful! It looked very professional! The taste was good - especially the fermented, authentic kimchi! The kalbi didn't have a smokey flavor nor any charred crunch. It was soft and tasty, but not the highest quality of beef. It was an alright meal. The green salad was okay. I'm glad that I finally tried it!
Possibly the BEST Korean food truck with food so good it rivals the best brick and mortar spots. Fiery spicy pork with onions and rice cakes mixed in for good measure. Lots of pleasing spice heat from a mix of sources including a very flavorful chili oil and balanced sweetness coming through from the marinade that taste of Korean pears. Tender, juicy, just the right amount of fat. One of the top two spicy pork I've had in Hawaii. The bulgogi, outstanding. Again, beautifully marinated with sweetness coming from Korean pears, this time stir fried with sweet potato noodles, and sweet onions. Very well made, perfectly cooked. Uber tender and packing flavor. Do yourself a favor and get a seafood or kim chee pancake and try them as soon as you get them. Crisp on the outside, moist goodness on the inside. Solid, fermented kim chee. Very friendly service. Quick turn around time. Located in the upper lot at the Waikele Premium Outlets. Tip: Check IG for changes to their open hours before heading down.
Fresh, Fast, and Friendly (but I'll Skip the Seating) Moojigae Korean Food Truck serves up fresh, made-to-order plates that hit the spot when you're craving something hot and quick. I had the kimchi fried rice (no egg) and my husband went with the bibimbap. Both were tasty--the kimchi had good flavor, though I wish the fried rice had a bit more spice. The salad on the side was fresh, though it came with ranch dressing, which I personally don't love. I'm not sure if other dressings are available since I wasn't offered a choice. The staff was super friendly and kind, and the food didn't take too long to cook maybe 15 minutes. The portions were large, and while I skipped the egg, it would have been nice to get a little extra salad or even a small discount in its place. After my eye doctors appointment yesterday 1-16-25, my husband said go across the street in the back coach outlet there's some food trucks. Yelpers yelp about this food truck. So we did try um. My husband ordered spicy pork plate and I ordered Kim chee stew. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Brought it home even though they are outside seating under the umbrellas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Opened up the plastic bag I was wondering why were there's 2 plate lunches and the Kim chee stew. Well 1 was the spicy pork and the other was for the Kim chee stew. Rice, toss greens, Kim chee, and also sunny side up egg on the top of the rice.the spicy pork was spicy and even had tekiboki mochi stir fried in it. My Kim chee soup was very good but very very spicy wow. Mixing with the rice it was tolerable. Maybe the next time we'll ask for mild. Visit them at the back parking lot behind coach outlet
In the area, so we decided to try Rainbow Stream. My brother-in-law Craig T had mentioned this venue to my wife. I ordered the spicy pork plate and my wife ordered the tofu stew. My wife said that it was good, but the spice level was on the higher side. My spicy pork was spicy. hey that's what I ordered. Actually the spice level was hot but I could handle it. I was surprised by finding small pieces of Tteokbokki mixed in with the pork. They have an extensive menu for a for truck. The service was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. Enjoy
Moojigae Korean Grill is the first silver food truck in the parking lot, closest to the Perfumania store. This is my favorite truck to go to for my usual order, Pineapple Pork Belly!!! (I highly recommend getting this order, it's SO DELICIOUS) The workers are always very polite and the food comes out quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are umbrella covered benches next to the truck where you can sit down after receiving your food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I probably order from Rainbow Stream a little too often! I can't get enough of their kimchi jeggae and spicy pork belly. I've also tried the kalbi and bibimbap. They're also super tasty. Honestly, I don't think you could go wrong with ordering anything from there. Each entree I've tried definitely feels like a home cooked meal!
I was disappointed we paid $17 for the shrimp with pineapple and a salad as u can see in their menu and that's not what we got (our side was a weird Mac salad and kimchi). False advertisement

This food truck is located in Waikele. The name on Yelp name is not the same on the food truck itself. The food truck is called Korean BBQ Kitchen. The food is good if you want a Korean Food fix on the West Side. It is more authentic than other Korean Food places in the west side. The food servings are on the larger side but it makes sense considering the prices. Prices definitely are made for the tourist customers since Waikele is more of a tourist spot. It's a little pricey for local customers. Service is speedy and efficient. On slower days, there are two people working, on busier days they have 4 people working. One takes orders, another does the pick up order area and two prepare the food. The food comes out in about 10 minutes. Lunch time is generally, their busiest time and around 3 pm they are not busy. They have a digital announcer to tell you when your food is ready so you don't have to wait in the sun. Food is delicious and it comes with rice and sides. They have pescatarian and vegetarian options. The meat options look very delicious as well. The food plating is beautiful. A plate can feed two people depending on one's appetite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a seating area and benches near by. It is dusty in this area and there is no grass but it serves its purpose for seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came here for a quick casual lunch after the beach and it hit the spot! My boyfriend and I shared the seafood pancake and it was so yummy! I love how they make their pancake crispy and it was loaded with seafood in it. We also noticed it had mochi or rice cakes in it which is not something you usually see in seafood pancakes but it was a nice touch. The food came out fast and the prices are ok. I would definitely come here again for their pancakes and maybe try other things from their menu! read more
Rainbow stream... [[HIGHLIGHT]]As many food trucks are obvious this one stands out just from their wheels ;) Moojigae is one of several food trucks on the side lot of Waikele Premium Outlet and though this open air location can get insanely hot having some shaded seats does help to relax and enjoy your meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I chose the simple Shinramyun ya not the brightest choice on this humid day but didn't want something too heavy as it just need a bit of fuel to get me going and this spot was definitely on my list. Love that they put the spice level beside each item for a heads up the staff here is nice and as they were more flooded with orders than I realized as they do take phone orders it did take a bit for my order. Since I was dining right there among the bench it didn't need to be separated and loved that it was served on a tray along with a side of kimchee yum the ramyun had a soft cooked egg and some carrots a nice and simple snack which gave me much needed boost though as it was basically no different than a bowl of instant noodle this was crazy overpriced and glad that I didn't get the soft tofu which was $13.50 which I didn't need that type of spice in my life. Was looking for a good food stop for the family between Pearl Harbor, Honolulu and the North Shore and saw the reviews on yelp. This place is awesome and there are a number of other great trucks next to it, and more across the shopping parking lot. The kimchi omelette, pineapple pork, and spicy pork were amazing and the bulgogi was also tasty. Sadly they were out of Kalbi. Highly recommend for a casual and quick bite. read more
This is a neat Korean food truck located in the parking lot of Waikele Premium Outlet mall. Look for them on the upper lot near the Coach store. They have quite a variety of dishes. All local Korean favorites. Plates come with rice and some sides. I ordered the Bi Bim Bap bowl and it was tasty. Only problem was that when I got home to eat my food they forgot to top it off with the egg. I'll have to make sure and check next time. Other than that, it was good. I've noticed the prices have gone up from previous times I've ordered but it's still pretty reasonable. read more

I absolutely love this Korean food truck. My go-to is their Bibimbap bowl and seafood pancake! So flavorful. Their Gochujang sauce is the best I've ever had too. The way it compliments the food and it has the right amount of kick, yum! I rotate between the two lol. Eventually I want to try everything because it all looks so delicious. This food truck is located in Waikele Premium outlets (parking lot to the left of Coach) and has a few seating options outside their truck. The lady who always takes my order is nice. It can get busy, so if it's the weekend, I'd call in the order. read more
There are two food truck locations near Waikele Outlets. One is right at the freeway offramp, in the same lot as Lowe's Home Improvement. Rainbow Stream is located at the Premium Outlet, right next to Coach. Rainbow Stream has an extensive Korean menu with a touch of Hawaiian flavor in dishes like pineapple shrimp and pineapple pork belly. Their top-of-the-line item is the Kalbi, or barbequed beef short ribs. At $18.50, at first, I thought it's a bit pricey, but the portion is large with lots of meat, and the ribs are top-notch quality. The ribs are really tasty, and I like the flavor of the sweet Korean barbeque sauce which goes well with white rice. A small of kimchi and a side salad are also included. All the meats are freshly grilled so there can be a wait. But please be patient. The food is so good it is definitely worth the wait. read more

Nestled in the back at the Waikele Shopping Center, there is a wonderful Korean Food Truck! I mean, how cute is this Airsteam food truck?! There was another korean food truck right next to it but my eyes were just drawn to this truck and the food did not disappoint. I wish the portion size was bigger but the quality of the food is great. It's fresh and the meats were not too spicy and full of flavor. I didn't care for their potato/apple salad that came with my husband's dish but overall, everything was delicious! I ordered the bibimbap without rice and they put spring greens under it so that it was super healthy! I appreciated the accommodation without the snarkiness that I sometimes get from this kind of request. read more

Was walking around the mall and wanted to get a quick lunch so came around here deciding what to eat and this food truck caught my eye than all the other food trucks. Their menu showcases lots of appetizing korean bbq. I got the kalbi plate no salad, extra rice and it comes with kimchi as well. It was a bit pricey but kalbi was tender and delicious and had a great lunch. read more
This food truck has a small line and 4 star reviews on Yelp so we had to check it out. My son ordered the spicy chicken plate and WOW it was spicy alright! Unfortunately he thought that it was like other Korean Fried chicken places that were more mild and sweet but he was wrong. The chicken wasn't fried however it was really tasty and spicy. A little too much spice for him so I finished it with many gulps of water. Generous portions and nicely presented Kim Chee and potato salad. I like that the food is made to order even though plan to wait a few minutes, I'll definitely be back to try other items! read more
Delicious! Quick lunch picked up by the boss. Order called in at 11:20 and my boss was back before 11:35! They were on it with the efficiency and everything was plated beautifully. What we ordered: Bulgogi 2 Pineapple Pork Belly Spicy Pineapple Shrimp Seafood pancake The whole team was pleased and glad we chose this spot today! Unfortunately, I wasn't nosey enough to snap pics of the coworkers' plates, but they all looked bomb. I ordered the Spicy Pineapple Shrimp. Honestly wasn't expecting much, but the pic looked good so I figured I'd try something non-meat before I kanaks the rest of my shift away haha! First impression was -- WOW! Smells amazing! I wasn't expecting it to be a garlic shrimp base, but it was and I am sooo happy I tried it. From what I could taste, it was Garlic Shrimp (8) + sweet chili sauce + pineapple chunks. Simple & yummy! It's located waikele premium shopping center. I can say this; Waikele food trucks are so high quality!! I remember I got pork belly plate before a few times and it was so good but all the sudden, it was gone. Today, I just ordered seafood pancake. It was $13. Omg, it was so delicious!!And huge volume! Usually I don't care about volume if the food is good. $13 is good value. Korean pancake is usually more thin and sticky like mochi but this one is more crispy. I love it. Side was mac salad that wasn't my type lol(there is raisins and apple in it), but the kimchi was sooo good. I want to try all menu because I know everything is great. I waited only 10min maybe because it was Tuesday around 3:30. Definitely I come back!! Highly recommended if you love Korean food!! read more
For a food truck on the side of a shopping mall, it's pretty good! Got 2 plates, seafood pancake and bulgogi Seafood pancake was really good, great texture and slight crunch on the edges. Could use more seafood inside imo. Had small bits of shrimp and tiny pieces of calamari. Portion size however was good for 2 Bulgogi was also good. Was mixed a little with noodles (jap chae) style so not straight meat only as I know most don't offer this style. Both plates come with rice kimchee and a potato salad. Kim chee was good little bit of a bite like the big jars at Costco. Salad was different with apples raisins etc. Was a good change up as I don't care for Mac all the time so was little more refreshing for me. Will be by again for pancakes and something else read more

I was in awe of how big the seafood pancake was, filling. Side of potato salad with apple in it and kim chi. The pancake was delicious, so much seafood and vegetables in it. I remember when I worked at a store in Waikele, my then coworker offered me a piece of her kimchee pancake from this shiny silver lunch wagon. From that day, I was hooked! That's the only thing I'll order whenever I feel like eating here because it's that good! The time it takes to make your food, is fairly quick depending on how busy they are. They shout out the number on your receipt when your food is ready. Overall, my favorite place for kimchee pancake on the island! When I visited this Korean food truck, it was operated by a nice Korean couple. With that said, their food is affordable and authentic as you can get. I tried their seafood pancake, Bulgogi (beef) plate, and Bibimbap. I recommend just ordering side order seafood pancake because if you order the seafood pancake plate you'll get a couple of sides and rice. I prefer just the seafood pancake and I didn't realized that after I ordered. The seafood pancake was fresh and tasty. Their Bulgogi or thinly sliced marinated beef was mixed with some long rice. It was soft and also tasty. The Bibimbap came with variety of veggies and beef. I did noticed they included this bean based jelly or also known as Mook. You don't usually get that unless you're at an authentic Korean restaurant. I love this food truck. Next time, I do want to try their Kalbi. This food truck is located behind the Coach store in Waikele Premium Outlet. There's some sitting area nearby if you want to eat there. read more

Food: They serve Korean food from kalbi, pineapple chicken, kim chee soup and etc. We got the kalbi plate and it came with a good amount of kalbi, rice, salad and macaroni salad. I was disappointed that there was no kim chee included since I've seen other pictures of people that received kim chee. The kalbi was delicious! It had a great flavor. The kim chee soup is the best! It was spicy, flavorful and one of the best soups I've had in a long time. I highly recommend trying the kim chee soup. Price: I paid around $25 for the two items. The kalbi plate cost $16.50. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this local mom and pop Korean food truck. The food is good and the prices are worth it! read more

The side order of kim chee pancake was bomb! So crispy. It wasn't super spicy either and comes with a side of dipping sauce. Perfect portion for sharing. The pineapple pork was okay. I liked the little pieces of mochi inside but otherwise I'd probably get something else instead. I'm not really a pineapple with meat kind of person but I wanted to try out since it was pork belly. I'd buy from here again though. One suggestion I would make is to have the trash bin located a little further away from the tables. Way to much flies and it's hard to keep them away while you're trying to enjoy your meal. read more
