We go to Waikele Premium Outlets all the time but have never tried the food trucks there, so we thought we'd give it a try today with this cute little food truck. We ordered the Kalbi plate, kimchi pancakes, and bibimbap. The cost can be a bit pricy, but the portions and taste really make up for it. The bibimbap had a variety of vegetables that made the dish look colorful. It came with bulgogi and an egg, and it was seasoned well. It also came with gochujang on the side, which I appreciated since my daughter can't eat spicy. My husband says the Kalbi plate was very good. It had a hint of sweetness and didn't feel dry. The kimchi pancakes had a nice crisp and and it was tasty. Next time, we will have to try the seafood pancake from there. The man who took our order was very nice, and service was fast, though we did go early. We had a nice lunch here, would recommend, and come back again. read more

We came here for a quick casual lunch after the beach and it hit the spot! My boyfriend and I shared the seafood pancake and it was so yummy! I love how they make their pancake crispy and it was loaded with seafood in it. We also noticed it had mochi or rice cakes in it which is not something you usually see in seafood pancakes but it was a nice touch. The food came out fast and the prices are ok. As many food trucks are obvious this one stands out just from their wheels ;) Moojigae is one of several food trucks on the side lot of Waikele Premium Outlet and though this open air location can get insanely hot having some shaded seats does help to relax and enjoy your meal. I chose the simple Shinramyun ya not the brightest choice on this humid day but didn't want something too heavy as it just need a bit of fuel to get me going and this spot was definitely on my list. Love that they put the spice level beside each item for a heads up the staff here is nice and as they were more flooded with orders than I realized as they do take phone orders it did take a bit for my order. Since I was dining right there among the bench it didn't need to be separated and loved that it was served on a tray along with a side of kimchee yum the ramyun had a soft cooked egg and some carrots a nice and simple snack which gave me much needed boost though as it was basically no different than a bowl of instant noodle this was crazy overpriced and glad that I didn't get the soft tofu which was $13.50 which I didn't need that type of spice in my life. Having a craving for good Korean food and heading back to Honolulu from Kapolei, Moojigae comes to mind. Have had this place bookmarked ever since my yelp bud Rod U said it was a-ok! Staff super friendly. Truck is easy to find in the Waikele Outlet Mall just behind the Coach Outlet. Lots of outdoor tented seating. Food is definitely flavorful. For me the bugolgi bordered on just a tad too salty HOWEVER it paired well with the delicious rice, fruit mac salad, and mild cabbage kimchee. Just had me eating more carbs than I usually do. That's a delicious problem! The seafood pancake nicely crisped. Flavor bursting, almost a cross between Korean pancake and Japanese vegetable tempura with a delicate sweetness to the batter. Possibly the BEST Korean food truck with food so good it rivals the best brick and mortar spots. Fiery spicy pork with onions and rice cakes mixed in for good measure. Lots of pleasing spice heat from a mix of sources including a very flavorful chili oil and balanced sweetness coming through from the marinade that taste of Korean pears. Tender, juicy, just the right amount of fat. One of the top two spicy pork I've had in Hawaii. The bulgogi, outstanding. After my eye doctors appointment yesterday 1-16-25, my husband said go across the street in the back coach outlet there's some food trucks. Yelpers yelp about this food truck. So we did try um. My husband ordered spicy pork plate and I ordered Kim chee stew. Brought it home even though they are outside seating under the umbrellas. Opened up the plastic bag I was wondering why were there's 2 plate lunches and the Kim chee stew. Well 1 was the spicy pork and the other was for the Kim chee stew. Rice, toss greens, Kim chee, and also sunny side up egg on the top of the rice.the spicy pork was spicy and even had tekiboki mochi stir fried in it. In the area, so we decided to try Rainbow Stream. My brother-in-law Craig T had mentioned this venue to my wife. I ordered the spicy pork plate and my wife ordered the tofu stew. This food truck is located in Waikele. The name on Yelp name is not the same on the food truck itself. The food truck is called Korean BBQ Kitchen. The food is good if you want a Korean Food fix on the West Side. It is more authentic than other Korean Food places in the west side. The food servings are on the larger side but it makes sense considering the prices. Prices definitely are made for the tourist customers since Waikele is more of a tourist spot. It's a little pricey for local customers. Service is speedy and efficient. On slower days, there are two people working, on busier days they have 4 people working. One takes orders, another does the pick up order area and two prepare the food. The food comes out in about 10 minutes. Lunch time is generally, their busiest time and around 3 pm they are not busy. They have a digital announcer to tell you when your food is ready so you don't have to wait in the sun. Food is delicious and it comes with rice and sides. They have pescatarian and vegetarian options. The meat options look very delicious as well. The food plating is beautiful. A plate can feed two people depending on one's appetite. Rainbow Stream is located at the Premium Outlet, right next to Coach. Rainbow Stream has an extensive Korean menu with a touch of Hawaiian flavor in dishes like pineapple shrimp and pineapple pork belly. Their top-of-the-line item is the Kalbi, or barbequed beef short ribs. At $18.50, at first, I thought it's a bit pricey, but the portion is large with lots of meat, and the ribs are top-notch quality. The ribs are really tasty, and I like the flavor of the sweet Korean barbeque sauce which goes well with white rice. A small of kimchi and a side salad are also included. All the meats are freshly grilled so there can be a wait. But please be patient. The food is so good it is definitely worth the wait. read more

Unfortunately he thought that it was like other Korean Fried chicken places that were more mild and sweet but he was wrong. The chicken wasn't fried however it was really tasty and spicy. Usually I don't care about volume if the food is good. $13 is good value. Korean pancake is usually more thin and sticky like mochi but this one is more crispy. I love it. For a food truck on the side of a shopping mall, it's pretty good! Got 2 plates, seafood pancake and bulgogi Seafood pancake was really good, great texture and slight crunch on the edges. Could use more seafood inside imo. Had small bits of shrimp and tiny pieces of calamari. Portion size however was good for 2 Bulgogi was also good. Was mixed a little with noodles (jap chae) style so not straight meat only as I know most don't offer this style. Both plates come with rice kimchee and a potato salad. Kim chee was good little bit of a bite like the big jars at Costco. Salad was different with apples raisins etc. Was a good change up as I don't care for Mac all the time so was little more refreshing for me. I prefer just the seafood pancake and I didn't realized that after I ordered. The seafood pancake was fresh and tasty. Their Bulgogi or thinly sliced marinated beef was mixed with some long rice. It was soft and also tasty. The Bibimbap came with variety of veggies and beef. I did noticed they included this bean based jelly or also known as Mook. Went there this past Sunday after coming late the previous Sunday and seeing they were closed me and my partner wanted to give them a try. Got there at 4:20 to be told by the worker that they closed already. Seeing their sign said 5 we were confused but instead of fighting with a worker who clearly wanted to not be there we instead went to yellow kitchen again for a second time right next to this food truck. Won't be giving this food truck my business anytime soon if their policy is to make up their own schedule. I liked the little pieces of mochi inside but otherwise I'd probably get something else instead. I'm not really a pineapple with meat kind of person but I wanted to try out since it was pork belly. I'd buy from here again though. One suggestion I would make is to have the trash bin located a little further away from the tables. I tried the kimchee pancake which comes as a plate or ala carte. The plate is served with rice, kimchee, and macaroni salad for $11.95. The portion is very generous that the container doesn't close! This was the best kimchee pancake I have ever eaten in Hawaii. The texture is fluffy, light, not oily and loaded with pieces of kimchee. They prepare the food fast!
