Having coffee time with friend. I ordered skinny latte. I got my drink and 1sip,,,,, it's sweet!!!??? I check label on my cup, my name, skinny latte, and syrup! I've never got skinny latte with syrup and I didn't ordered add syrup. So I went to counter and told gal(or should call barista?!), "excuse me, I just ordered skinny latte but this one added syrup". The gal said "I'll make new one for you". Ok, I waited little and my right order skinny latte came. I back to my seat and my friend told me, "did they redound you for syrup?" I said no, she said "but if you add the syrup they charge you". Oh, really?! I checked my history by app, and yes they charged me syrup. I know they are busy because they have a drive through but shouldn't make such a easy mistake. So I gave them one star instead of tip this time. read more

This is a 4.5 star review... This location is a perfect drive in and/or drive thru spot for Starbucks fixes... well for me at least. Located in the Laniakea Shopping Plaza, on the north-west corner of the small plaza, Ewa of the Waipio Costco. The one major draw back is the parking situation... where I take the half star away.. which also effects the drive thru as the line grows and getting into the lot is not that accessible with cars blocking the entrance and stalls waiting to go through the drive thru. So, sometimes patience is needed here... Other than getting in, once you're in, this location is perfect for walk-ins, drive-thurs or my personal fav, mobile ordering. Actually, I mobile order more than getting in line now days =). Anyhow, the people here are very efficient and friendly and know what customer service is suppose to look like. They greet and communicate well with everyone, which believe it or not, is a hard thing to come by in some retail joints. This location has ample seating both inside and outside if needed, but it's not the largest place either. They have a nice display of their products offered and the store is kept pretty neat compared to some other unmentioned Starbucks that I've been too... that's for another review... The goods... this is like any other Hawaii Starbucks with it's unique offerings due to location and a little different from the mainland, but my favs are... 1) Iced Coffee... with room 2) The Double Smoke Bacon Breakfast Sandwich... ugh... luv... 3) Iced, Double Tall, Non-Fat, Caramel Macchiato 4) Jade Citrus Mint tea 5) Emperor's Cloud & Mist tea just to name a few... but to each their own... Seems my life grew around this company as I was a former employee of the empire and now a frequent customer... been to most locations on this island and seem to favor this one over others simply because it's the start to my most every work day. It's no wonder Starbucks is as successful as it is! I ordered a grande size drink and there was so much ice...that there was probably only 6oz of drink product, if that!!! I attached a pic, but it doesn't even do it justice to show just how much ice there was and it's funny because when the cashier handed me my drink, I noticed that the beverage wasn't even filled completely to the top. I totally thought I've already reviewed this location! This is the Starbucks that I consider my "home store". Convenient location - next to Costco, on the way to the highway, close to home... and a drive through! It recently got rennovated and I really enjoy the new set up. There is more space for the baristas to make beverages, lots of seating - the bar stools & bar table wrap around the edge of the store. I'm not the biggest fan of the large square table with stools around it and miss the cushy chairs and individual tables. There are still tables and chairs outside to enjoy. The ladies and gents who work at this location are very pleasant and efficient. I've seen many newer faces the last several times I stopped at this location. One of the best features about this store is the drive through! I don't think I've ever waited longer than 5 minutes in this drive through! As pleased as I am that the store re-opened with the changes however, bring back some cushy seating please! read more

Starbucks Drive Thru is a major plus. Every time, I stop by Waipio to go either to Costco or Honda Services coming here is a must. Lots of dine-in restaurant along the same parking structure. This location is a perfect spot to also meet up with friends, do errands or paperwork as they renovated their place a while back. I use to come here to study inside & its a decent amount of space. Bathroom has a code, so you have to go to the counter to ask for it. Unless someone already in it, you just have to wait lol. Very limited parking space and the drive thru is a bit narrow. Service can be slow at times, depending on the workers or how busy they are. Usually drive thru, is top priority however sometimes you have to wait a while. Overall friendly staff and very verbal when it comes to orders. They do work efficient and good when it comes to making drinks! My drinks are always blended well & doesn't melted too quickly. read more

Bad Service. The on April 6, 2024 at 11 pm the male worker at Starbucks Laniakea was very rude, he gave me a stir stick and expected a tip.

This is the Starbucks closest to my home. It's always packed and the drive thru is at least 4 cars deep. Being said that they still work fast to get your order. They get it right 98 percent of the time. Once my brothers drink was too sweet, luckily he is not diabetic but they quickly made him another drink as they guarantee that you will like your drink or they will make another. I really like that service. This one recently renovated and removed this huge shelving in the middle of the store so now it's all opened up and you can see everything and everyone. On one hand it's more bright then another it's not as intimate. There is a small outside seating but pretty much it's right next to the drive thru so you will smell the cars and noise. Wish they had like trees and bushes would be nicer. read more

Walked into Starbucks and waited for about 10 minutes to order. No worker helped and just kept turning their backs to customers and worked on other orders. Workers couldn't even tell customers 'they will be right with them'. Walked out without ordering. Workers knew there were customers because when I walked in, two were on the registers. I can see why their ratings are so low. It's bad enough that I pay just over $6.50 for a Venti Mocha with almond milk because the milk substitute is now 80 cents more! But the batista flies a drink as she yells the customers name and it literally flies off the counter and splashes on the floor! "Oops, just joking, your order is almost ready!" Followed by "my bad!". And then no one even cleans it for well over ten minutes making customers step around it to get their orders. Not good Starbucks! read more

Located in the Laniakea Plaza near Costco and other eateries this is one of my favorite Starbucks store on the island! Conveniently located near the freeway on and off ramp their consistent drive thru customer service is on point! I enjoy the drive thru staff members who will chat with you if your order isn't ready rather than closing the drive thru window... ''How's your day so far?'' or "Hope you feel better soon" when I order the Medicine Ball... makes me feel valued as a customer. When they run out of an item they make great suggestions which results in customized favorites. Their fast, efficient, and friendly staff help make the morning commute/shifts less painful. read more

I have done reviews on different Starbucks locations but I haven't made an review on this location. Conveniently located next to Waipio Costco is the Waipio Starbucks alongside with other food establishments and businesses. This location is always busy, in referring to the drive thru. There is at least 6 to 7 cars lined up in the drive thru and more cars counting. This was my second time picking up a drink from the drive thru and it takes a long time to get to the ordering pad to the pick up and pay window. My mom and I waited 20 mins total in the car. A lot of gas wasted. I wanted to try the new limited Cherry blossom frappuccino drink Starbucks started advertising on Wed. Apparently, many people took their voices online and claimed the drink had no sakura flavoring. In fact, it is basically strawberries n creme with white chocolate, whipped creme, and matcha power. I recently saw a video online of a Canadian couple living in Japan trying the Starbucks Sakura blossom and Strawberry Frappuccino and the drinks contain some sakura flower in them. Now that is a legit drink that represents the name well :) Shame on you Starbucks U.S. for making a drink that doesn't represent the Sakura name. I should probably fly over to Japan and try their original versions, afterall they started the craze. Also, the price is super high for such a phony drink. The grande size for this drink cost over $5. What a rip off!!!!!! But if you want to try this frap drink, TODAY is the last day Starbucks offers it. When I first walked in, I was greeted by one of the employees making the drinks. I got to the registers and I observed two employees to the right who were having a conversation with each other. After about 1 minute, maybe a few seconds less. One of the employees walked away from the conversation and was touching one of the registers. Never said a word to us. No, we'll be with you in one moment, nothing. No acknowledgment what so ever. The, the second employe walked to the register. Touched it for a little whil, then finally acknowledged us. I'm a big guy. I can't hide behind a shelf of coffee cups. I can't hide behind a structural weight support beam. I was standing in front of the registers. How the hell do you not see me? Are they part Tyrannosaurus Rex? Maybe I should've moved more so they could see me. Sorry for that little rant. So I waited for my drink. After awhile, like about 5 minutes, I didn't hear my name called. I looked at the counter and saw a cup there. It was mine. Unfugginbelieveable! One of the worst Starbucks in my opinion. They always mess up my order (which isn't too complicated). Whenever I get matcha cold foam, they don't even bother to blend the matcha in. It's like they just use leftover vanilla cold foam and just throw the matcha powder on top, leaving a highly grimey texture. I always add extra scoops of matcha to my latte but I can tell that they either don't add it, or add way too much milk to the point there's no matcha taste at all. This place continues to be pretty disorganized. It's still a Starbucks and it's convenient though, which is why I continue to go. Went a few weeks ago and ordered via the mobile app from 5+ minutes away. I got there, parked and went in and my order wasn't ready, it wasn't even near ready. I watched as all the cars went through the drive thru and my order still wasn't ready. Even the app said "Your order should be ready" - I checked it to make sure I in fact ordered! Love it that they have a drive thru, parking could be a hassle sometimes so it's really awesome that you have that option to drive thru. Service is fast and they're really nice and efficient. It's great that you get to start your day here and everything is perfect.. it just starts your day right! I always get my usual which is white chocolate mocha and it never fail to satisfy me. Wakes me up in the morning! Love the vibe here as well, I can tell the staff loves what they are doing and they all get along well. I love hanging out here especially when I'm waiting for my car to get serviced right across the street. I just want to say, the people here are amazing! The staff is super friendly, always suggesting the perfect treat w/ the perfect drink. They always have a smile. Although they have one of the toughest jobs always having to be so positive but boy do they do a good job! Standing in line i see people so short w/ their answers or so quick to go off on someone simply taking their order but the barista does amazing brushing it off. And even if the customer doesn't enjoy their drink they always offer to remake and make sure you leave happy! Amazing job to the crew! The MAnager i am sure is more then proud of them. Came to this Starbucks location after a hike. There are some pros: drive-thru, convenient location & cons: long waits. Although, the busy-ness of this place fluctuates like any food/drink establishment, I feel there is consistently slow service at this location. I love this Starbucks location at the Laniakea plaza in Waipio. It's conveniently nestled in a small plaza with other food joints next to Costco Waipio, and also has a drive thru for when ya just don't feel like getting out of the car! The only downfall of this Starbucks is the long wait for drinks. I've been in long waits in this drive thru line before, sometimes as long as 20 mins (for coffee, cmon!). I've also seen long drive thru lines and parked/walked inside thinking it would be faster...and still had to wait 10-15 mins for my drink. read more

I love this location. I come here quite often. The only reason why I love this place is their drive thru. I live in Mililani and they just recently opened a drive thru Starbucks in the new Mauka town center, but that shall be another yelp story. The customer service is fantastic. When I get to the cashier, I always can't wait to find out who is behind there. They are always bubbly with such energy. Coffee shots behind the counter, I guess? Secondly, I love this location because of it's consistency. Whenever I get my same order, it tastes the same like it would at any other Starbucks. At times, due to the long waits they comp the drink which has happened to me quite a few times. Thank you, guys! Some minor setbacks, Getting there in morning around peak hours which is 7:30am - 8:00am the line can almost go near the ending of Seattle best coffee. Plan ahead. Another pet peeve that pisses me off is entering because of that right turn that takes my whole steering wheel. It is scary when people are turning from the opposite side leaving the premises, I feel like my car is going to get a makeover...not in a good way. It's been years for an update so here it is. Still located in the small plaza near Costco. Parking still sucks. Drive through is busy during peak hours, which to me seem to be all day except after 8pm. I tend to utilize the drive through. On the couple occasions where they've messed up my order, I was able to go back in and get it replaced without any questions asked. Interior remains a bit cramped with seating for just a few handful of people. Free WiFi. Free coffee and tea refills while seated inside, with same visit, same day purchase, with SB gold card. Ever need something stronger? Get a couple more shots of espresso in your drink. read more

I will give this place two stars for the awesome drive thru and the occasional hot male barista at the window. However, this is their only positive. I have been to many different Starbucks and this is the only one with inconsistent service and product. I have been here many times and have only received the correct drink maybe 55% of the time. For example, today I ordered an iced coffee with caramel walls and whipped cream. Final product: iced coffee. no caramel, no whipped cream wtf Another issue is that they do not fill their coffee cups to the top most of the time. I order a grande, and get a 70% full cup, equivalent to a tall. Are you afraid I'm going to spill coffee and go all McDonalds on you? I want what I paid for. Having customized add-ons seem to be a problem with this location also, if you request an extra shot or syrup, it may or may not be included. You can tell by the taste if these were added on or not. read more

I have to admit, I'm not the biggest Starbucks fan. The coffee is typically too strong for my taste, the prices are too high, and there's never a 'good seat' in the place because of folks that seem to live there with their laptops and lattes. This location has one of the worst parking lots in the State. Unless you plan on going through the drive-thru, you may get stuck in a stall where you can't get out. It's very poor design. They recently remodeled the place, but it doesn't seem like it gained any charm - in fact, it got worse. To be fair, I love their iced teas, and their service is usually pretty darn good. It's convenient near my home, and a great place to hang if you don't want to walk the thousands of aisles at Costco. Three stars for convenience, service and iced teas. This Starbucks is a hit or miss, lately it seems more of a miss. I've had a stint at Starbucks back in the day, and know how stressful it can be when it gets busy. The last 3 times I've gone, these things have happened to make me come to a 3-star conclusion: 1. Forgot my drink. Iced coffee. And when I politely asked, the manager (?) got a little defensive and said it was right here, next in line. He then asked me what size and if it was sweetened. Wait. If my cup was right there, why are you reiterating my order? Just fess up! You forgot. And no apologies. This is not the first time. 2. A barista (whom I don't see anymore) told me they don't have a Thai when I ordered. Come again? After trying to explain what is in a Thai, he continued to tell me they don't make that. 3. My friend saw a little creature dude in the food case, and by little I mean big, and by creature, I mean roach. Its a Starbucks with a drive-thru.
