The reason why I love CB&TL is because my drinks are always made to how I like it and because of the drive-thru. The drive-thru is very convenient when I'm getting coffee on my way to work. However, it does tend to get really busy and sometimes when I see how backed up it is, I just leave. I do feel that they prioritize the drive-thru over walking in because a few times I would just go in to order if the drive-thru is busy and the barista taking my order appears to be taking and making orders for the drive-thru. There were also a few instances I saw where you can't even go in to order and could only go to the drive-thru. I do understand when they say they're short-staffed and I see how it can get pretty busy. I'm just sharing my past experience but I do continue to come here because my drinks are always made to how I like it and I love that they're open a little later than other coffee shops! The parking looks small from the main road but it's located in a spot by HMart and Don Quixote so there is plenty places to park. Coming here for coffee reminds me of why I don't frequent this establishment often. Service is very sloooow. I usually walk in as I found the drive thru was designed poorly. Weirdly the service is slightly faster when you walk in. Today the driver opted for the drive thru and said omg multiple times. The second reason I don't get coffee here is that this location does not participate in rewards. The good is that the iced Americano is very good. I love a coffee drive-thru and I swear there just isn't enough of them on the island. This one is located near the H-mart and Donki in Pearl City. The line does get pretty long with cars but you do also have the option to go in and order in store if you want. I will say, that they are pretty quick as long as the line isn't too backed up with orders. It gets really crazy here in the morning. I love their vanilla iced coffees. It's flavored with this vanilla powder that can sometimes feel a bit gritty but I really enjoy it. The matcha here is actually pretty good too but I think the ratio for the large matcha is a bit off, too much milk. I'd recommend getting their strawberry matcha in a medium size. I always see negative reviews about this location and the service! I went on a very busy day when they had a promotion running. Drive through line was crazy so I opted to go inside. Service was slow but it was expected since they only had one cashier. A younger Asian boy stepped in to assist and took my order. He was very nice and not rude at all. My drink did take awhile and you could see only one girl working on the line up of cups by her station so kudos to her ! Overall it was okay, wasn't the best but it was busy. I stop by this location about once a month to pick up a coffee traveler box for my morning meetings. The drinks and food here are always great, I really love the taste of their coffee and tea! The only downside is that even when I call ahead, they usually don't start making the order until I arrive. It ends up taking longer than expected and has made me late to meetings a few times. Plantation iced tea has been my go to for years. But I wouldn't get it as often as I usually am getting them now lol. I didn't realize they could add li hing in it and also pumps of lilikoi. When the car line wraps around their building, be prepared to wait at least 30mins... The cream cheese croissant is also delicious too. I like that they have a non caffeine option menu for my kiddos. I got them one each of the lemonades: strawberry, lilikoi, and li hing. The strawberry was a little too sweet for me and I usually love sweet drinks, but this one had a kick to it. It's Bean about time... I've passed this busy Pearl City location that sits prominently on the corner of the Pearl City Shopping Center countless times and have never gotten a chance to give them a peek though their drive thru is clearly the favorite way majority seem to prefer to get their cravings. Though the shopping center does have a lot of parking options they do have a few stall right in front about six stall and one disable stall though i decided to park closer to H Mart it's not a bad walk to the door. Walking into the shop which is somewhat spacious with amount four small tables a couple of larger table one obviously is best for work as it has a outlet to keep you charging though i think the table is a bit too high for my shortness it's still a nice option to have it for moments like this. Approaching the service counter to order one thing that I do love about TCB&TL is that they have so much snacks to choose from and a few from local small biz. Though not a TCB&TL regular I noticed a TikTok trending drink...Iced dry americano with caramel walls drizzle and cookie butter powder (though they were out of the cookie butter) subbed it for vanilla topped with half and half and a cream cap...and what a flavor explosion...and with all that extra this small drink was $8.72. Would i recommend it...no. Decided to get a Pumpkin Crunch as well which was good but a tad sweet for my personal liking though this location is very nice and somewhat clean, the staff is nice and is a great place to take that needed break. First time at this location and it was a real disappointment. First, I will say my drink was great but the service was less than satisfactory. Another customer came in after me and I don't know if the employee knew him, but he made his order and charged him before I was even addressed. Finally, an employee took my order (which was a green tea)....as I waited for my drink, I went into the restaurant which was literally disgusting. I usually go to the Makakilo location at malama market and the staff there is awesome, so friendly, so welcoming and always smiling but for some reason I was in the area. This is the third time I came to this location to buy my plantation iced tea. The staff is not even friendly. they look at you like you owe them money and like what are you doing here? And to top it off the three times I went the plantation iced tea. Taste shitty so water down you can't even taste the pineapple or the tea. All you taste is water. I'm never coming to this location again. Coffee bean needs to train their employees how to treat their customers or to be welcoming because looking at them I don't ever wanna come back and then to have a water down drinks. I always try and visit this location whenever I'm in the area. It's in the parking lot of H Mart right across from the Pearl City police station. Plenty of drink and coffee choices along with a good variety of pastries. I enjoy the iced blended mango. I did see the new ube blend which will be a must on my next visit. Inside has a few tables; the staff is pretty nice but once in a while make minor mistakes (forgot my straw, charged me wrong price, etc.) But, I keep going back because drive-through coffee is a huge plus in PC, and their specials (i.e., Mojo Monday) are a good deal. read more

I miss their old Staff. I've been coming here for over a decade and you can definitely tell the difference in their Employees. No one smiles, they tend to be very curt when taking orders. Some mornings they're not even open on time. CBTL has always been my favorite but if there were a better option in the area I'd definitely spend my money elsewhere. Super disappointing--especially since there was no sign or indication that it wasn't available. If an item is sold out, it should definitely be marked or removed from the menu display so customers aren't left frustrated at the counter. This is not a review but a warning about a place so neglected and broken it's like they've seen the end days coming and decided to crumble without grace or dignity. The coffee was lukewarm and the place freezing. The hot water was, thankfully, hot but it tasted like plastic when sipped through the lid. According to a worker, the internet has been down--for months! The mind boggles before this senseless negligence, which abounds here. Perhaps times are hard. My partner asked for napkins and was given just one. For both of us. It reminds me of that episode of The Office where Dwight makes toilet paper half a ply. Yeah I'm avoiding the restroom. The seating area was dim on this rainy day because eight lights were off. Or out; have the bulbs also not been fixed for months? Maybe the lights are intentionally kept off to add to the dilapidated ambiance. In which case, an award to these designers of off-putting moods. While gazing about perplexed at this mess, I saw an air vent. Of course deep cleaning is not on the to-do list here. Little wonder that my throat felt irritated while sitting here. The service here is so bad. This isn't the first time but last couple of times I gave them benefit of the doubt. There was nobody in line except for me and they blatantly ignore me. They are talking and laughing amongst themselves but no service. Only after a few more people came into the store did they finally acknowledge me. No hi, hello or anything. And when I asked for a particular drink she sighs and said we don't do that anymore. It was seasonal. But then she walks away...comes back a few moments later and says, "oh, you ready now?" Great place for blended drinks and for coffee and teas! Love that they have a drive-thru which makes it a plus because it makes it so convenient. The employees are always nice and their blended drinks are always consistent which is also another great reason to go there. If leaving no stars was an option, that would've been the first choice. I've been coming to Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Pearl City for convenience to work since it's nearby, but after multiple bad experiences, it's hard to justify continuing to support this location. The service has consistently been poor, no customer service, no greetings, and barely any acknowledgment even when I leave generous tips. Most of the staff look like they'd rather be anywhere else, which in my opinion makes no difference to me if you show up because you chose to work here. The energy definitely shows in how they treat customers. The drinks, which used to be good, are now hit-or-miss. Even when I pay extra and give clear directions, the drinks are often wrong or just sloppily made. There's no consistency or care, and it's frustrating to spend money on something that feels like an afterthought. Also, the bathroom is frequently dirty. It's clear it doesn't get cleaned often, which makes you question the overall cleanliness of the store. This location has gone downhill and it's disappointing, especially since I used to enjoy stopping here. At this point, I only come here as a last resort to work, not even for the internet cause that isn't the best either, just for the literal table space.
