I enjoy coming to this location even when its quick since I p/u my boyfriend's order so he can have a great work night!! He's switched to 5 hr and Monster energy drinks so I haven't been to this Starbucks in a month. But if I need a caffeine pick me up, I will always come to this Starbucks!! Thank you!!! I rarely visit this Starbucks location but today's visit prompted me to write a review. I was undecided on what to order for my husband and before I could even ask the Baristas offered up some amazing choices. I accepted their advice and got a medium-sized sorry I forget what it's called but I got a medium sized Hot Corner coffee with two added shots. She prepared this in their Clover machine which I happen to think is amazing and she also steamed the heavy cream without me even asking. This location can get really busy at times with all the visitors to Waikele shopping center. When I go to this location, I only order through the Starbucks app so I don't have to wait in line. Make sure you taste your drink before you leave though. On more than one occasion, I customized my tea on the app to have no sweetener, and it was clearly sweetened. read more

How I wish I could give them more stars because they are the closest Starbucks to my house, but I can't. My biggest gripe is that their store is way too small for the amount of people that come in. Every time I go in there, which is often and during different times of the day, it is always full; at least seat wise.There is never any place to sit, even outside. It's so tight in the store in part because the configuration is inefficient: people are always bumping into each other or the furniture. And because it's so tight and there are so many people, there is more noise, which distracts from concentration when I go there to do some work on the computer. It's not the comfy environment Starbucks is well known for, usually. Plus, I truly believe that their staff could benefit from retraining on how to be much nicer to customers so that we feel like we're actually valued. I can't speak for all the staff the same way, but if I'm paying for a $5 drink, I know it's not only the drink I'm paying, but rather the experience. I should have a good experience every time I walk in the door. But I don't always get a happy experience here. This is such a pity since I live so close, and this is the Starbucks I frequent. read more

I'm really into the Reserve Starbucks coffees. Only a few locations have them. I know of 2 which is this one and the Paiea location in Honolulu (near the airport). I tried the Jamaican Blue Mountain reserve coffee which was I believe the newest reserve coffee. It was fantastic. I didn't need to add anything to it to taste the richness in it. The Reserve coffees do cost more than your normal coffees (around $5-6) but I've thoroughly enjoyed every one that I have tried. This location is almost always swamped when I go. I pop in if I'm at the Waikele Outlets or Sports Authority if it doesn't look too busy. read more

My only problem with this Starbucks is its cleanliness. I guess I only notice it here because I have to come here to meet up with clients and actually sit on the tables. Maybe it's not in the employee's job description to wipe clean the tables. But they are always filthy even in the morning. And I don't like to go to the bathroom because it's always dirty. And I think I saw an employee just leave the bathroom and I went in after and it was still gross. I guess cleaning the bathroom isn't in the job description either. But this place is always busy so maybe they don't have time for the little things like wiping tables. Or it's always so busy the tables are always full so they don't get wiped. Whatever the case just expect to clean your own table when you are here. Hopefully they keep the place where they make my drinks and heat my food clean. Well they have the green placard pass so must be ok. Other than that they customer service is great and as far as Starbucks drinks or food go I have no complaints. read more

Mobile ordered a frappacino and a sandwich. Came in and there was no line or anything, my frappacino was ready and melting. Had to wait 10 more minutes for the sandwich after talking to two baristas who said it was coming right up. So total time for the mobile order was about 20 minutes. Customer service here is atrocious. It seems as though they hired all new staff who have no idea how to treat their customers. If you really want to see them flustered ask for Thai walls on a hot drink. One barista actually asked me if I was sure I wanted Thai walls on my hot drink. This is what America's finest young generation has amounted to. They are situated here at Starbucks staring blankly at a laptop, iPad, iPod, and iPhone with earphones suctioning out their brains. How many more gadgets must you attach to your head to look like you're "studying" in order to avoid the horror of making eye contact or carrying on a conversation with another person? I came in and ordered a frappuccino, milk, apple juice, and coffee cake. After I got my order and started looking for a table, I noticed that 95% of the people there, who already had a table, didn't purchase anything. I also had my 2 year old with me, so that added to the awkwardness of finding a place to park her next to someone who looked like they wouldn't be freaked out sitting next to a kid. Sure they've got free wi-fi, but, come on, if you guys are going to use it but be so cheap about it, at least have some decency and buy a drip coffee or something to appear to be a paying customer. Don't just camp there all day like no one knows what you're doing. On the outside I may look like a Pat Benatar soccer mom to you. But I was in your shoes once, working my butt off and going to school at the same time. The difference is that I studied by reading books and newspapers. One day you can graduate from college, too. I've had much better service at the Starbucks locations in Kapolei. As far as the service in Waikele, I don't want to have to ask for the receipt after I pay here every time. Cashiers nowadays assume that people are lazy and don't want their receipts anymore. Well, I still check my receipts! So what if they have to deal with tourists and everybody else who are only there for the wi-fi and nothing else. It shouldn't have to be that way. I cannot believe the awful treatment and discrimination that I felt today (3/8/22)!! I was so humiliated by a Starbucks worker at the Waikele Starbucks. I ordered two teas and food for myself and my work colleague before we sat for a planned meeting. The cashier asked if we were staying and I said yes and she said show me your ID and vaccination card or proof of test. I replied that I didn't have one because the mandates were lifted and that I would sit outside. She proceeded to tell me that I cannot sit outside either because the tables belong to them and that their establishment has decided to continue the requirements. She was very rude and non-apologetic about the situation. We paid (with my Starbucks gold reward card cuz I am a long time customer) and went outside. We decided to sit down anyway and she came outside and scolded us rudely and made us leave. Everyone was staring. I will NEVER go back to that location. Absolutely ridiculous and openly discriminating. I was so embarrassed and had to finish my drink and meeting standing on a public sidewalk! There is no mandate and they CHOSE to treat their customers this way, even outside. Why would I carry my vax card on me when Hawaii is open for business?! Horrible. Dropped by for two cups of coffee but it took three times for me to repeat myself in order for the cashier to understand my order. The mocha tasted bland as could be, not like coffee and not like mocha, so we had it remade, and although the second cup had a very slight hint of chocolate, it was still unbelievably messed up. Depending when you go, it's either perfectly stocked which makes the front of the house great and clean. Awesome drinks & love how it's a little bigger than most Starbucks :) staff is friendly but today I came in with about 6 people in line (and more coming through the door) not super busy but a steady flow of customers. There's 5 workers, one at the register and I suppose the rest are suppose to be making drinks, but weren't. One guy was making drinks & I think the girl that made my drink is new...I ordered a strawberry passion tea lemonade unsweetened and when I got it my drink was a dark pink color and SUPER sweet sour like it was drenched in the strawberry - usually it's mostly tea and just lightly sweetened with the strawberry. I had to ask to make sure it was strawberry because it tastes nothing like my usual order...lol. She told me yeah it was strawberry but the more I look at it the more I realize it was made entirely wrong and was mostly the strawberry rather than tea. It's fine though I was in a rush and already waiting 10 minutes for my drink. As a previous barista, I know the recipes for the drinks I like. The barista messed up my drink the first time and remade it. however the second time it was an inch from the rim! what a rip off! I told Cathy to remake it because I want what I paid for. She snubbed me and remade it. Watching her remake my drink, she put coffee base in my DCCF. coffee base does not go in a non coffee drink! decided to get my money back and go to the waipio one. along with the remodel came with new baristas who have no idea what they're doing. 2 stars for making a WMF correctly and having a clean bathroom. read more

Kelly, I was indeed disappointed that you ran out of my favorite tea but you did manage to put a smile on my face and I left with a happy feeling and happy thoughts. My family and I have been to this Starbucks about eight different times now. Unfortunately, it is the worst Starbucks we have been to on the island. It seems to disappoint nearly every time. Either the coffee is burnt, not enough vanilla syrup is added to a frap, or they make a cappuccino and call it a latte. When the people that work here hand you your drink they also seem to have a look of accomplishment, like they actually made the drink well. Very, very disappointing. From now on we will avoid going to this location, so we can avoid having to throw out another drink! read more

This location is where I had my very first Starbucks coffee, this actually happened about a week and a half ago but I'm only getting around to this now. My pastor is a big Starbucks guy and he usually mentions the place at least once or twice during his weekend messages, so obviously the more you hear about something your curiosity starts to grow and you want to give it a try. So in the last couple weeks I've been hinting to my wife that I wanted to try one, so finally she took me to get my first one, yes I am a newbie to this Starbucks thing so I was admittedly excited about the whole deal. We went to the Waikele location which was filled with quiet a bit of people that night, now I've been inside a store to by gifts for people, but not to actually buy coffee. The location itself was very clean and well kept, shelves were well stocked and filled with different items. There were 2 people working at the time, one taking orders, the other one filling the orders. I had never actually looked at a Starbucks menu so I was curious to see what they offered, they have a variety of specialty food and drinks, but what I was there for was a coffee drink. I ended up getting a iced vanilla latte, and of course my wife did the ordering because i had no clue about the sizes, my wife used to frequent Starbucks a lot in the past but not much recently. So the worker took our order, gave it to the other worker and it was ready just like that, real fast. And for my first taste experience i was thoroughly impressed, and i have frequented this location a few more times after that, and every time it's been great. Now I know that every one has there favorite location they like to frequent, and there's a Starbucks around every corner, but because this was where I had my taste, this will be my favorite. I'm probably gonna try something different as far as brewed or iced, but for now I'm happy with what I've tried. read more
