Nice atmosphere, smaller than others in town, way busier in the morning than I've noticed in others, and a very good blonde roast! :-D

It's an experience worth getting out of bed for. I stumbled across The Struggle Bus while visiting North Carolina for the very first time, scoping out properties and trying to get a feel for the area. And honestly? This was the kind of unexpected gem that makes you seriously consider relocating. First off, the energy is unmatched. The owner Zac is responsive, friendly, and inviting. J-Michael is the kind of team member who makes you feel like a regular within 30 seconds. He's warm, genuine, welcoming, and just the right amount of hype to kickstart your day. Now let's talk drinks, because they are NOT playing around!!! I had The black sugar shaken espresso ( Smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced with that deep caramelized sweetness.) I also tried the honey maple vanilla iced oat milk latte. ( familiar comfort in a cup. Subtly sweet, layered, and dangerously easy to drink.) And the real standout: their handmade vanilla sweet cream cold foam. This isn't your standard topping. it's thick, velvety, and crafted in-house, which you don't see often at mobile coffee setups. That alone sets them apart. I will definitely be back again before I leave on Thursday because I have to try thier lemonade!

They are a mobile coffee shop with walk-up and drive-thru ordering options, as well as patio seating to enjoy your beverage. This month's specialty offerings include a variety of hot chocolates: salted caramel, s'more's cotton candy, Mexican, and raspberry cream white chocolate. Additionally, they are offering a topless raspberry tease: a raspberry white chocolate latte with a raspberry-muffin-flavored cold foam, topped with a raspberry heart. This drink is available as an iced or hot latte as well as a frappe. I purchased the topless raspberry tease iced latte and would highly recommend this drink. The flavor was phenomenal. It tasted like a raspberry crumb muffin, and the raspberry heart was adorable.

The high wooden bookshelves and designated reading tables give it literary cachet, but The Remedy leans more cozy than stuffy. There's plenty of seating inside and out, and this would be as good a place for a group as it would be for partaking solo. Part coffeeshop and part bar, The Remedy also offers baked goods, flatbreads and charcuterie alongside its coffees, teas, and cocktails. I passed on the food (it seemed overpriced), but the coffee left no room for complaint. I went with a marshmallow iced latte. It was prepared quickly, and it made for a smooth sip: not too sweet and no acidity. Winston-Salem has no shortage of places to grab a drink of the caffeinated or alcoholic varieties, but it's hard to beat the atmosphere that The Remedy has to offer.

The mimosa was light and flavorful without being overpowering. It was a subtle flavor but pleasant. The chocolate was exactly what you'd expect from a chocolate macaron, which was good. It had a rich chocolate flavor but wasn't too heavy. I did walk with it on a warm day, so it began to melt a bit. But overall, it was still enjoyable. My fiancé ordered the ginger cookie. He liked it. It has a crust of sugar on top and had a nice ginger taste. The texture was soft but didn't fall apart easily. The server at the cash register was helpful. We asked what the Santiago dessert was, and he explained thoroughly. He also asked if the macarons could be in the same box instead of assuming. We didn't stay in long enough to get a vibe necessarily, but everyone sitting inside seemed to be at ease and enjoying their time. We will return to try more.

Today, I went to Oasis at the Mill for a delicious Velvet Fog chaga- & kava-infused drink. I also booked a Vibro-Acoustic Therapy session for the first time! I was asked what I was feeling to experience energetically out of the various programs available and I chose "Release". I didn't know what to expect and it turned out to be quite profound and healing on many levels so I want to share my experience. I was taken to a beautiful dark teal room with Tibetan prayer flags overhead...tranquil and inviting. I put on some padded headphones while the program was being initiated, and made myself comfortable on my back on an ergonomically sculpted bed. Resonant music came through the headphones as the bed began to vibrate and undulate, my back and legs receiving a massage-like experience as my entire body felt the resonance of sound healing. My first impression was feeling I was a garden being tilled...old stagnant energy was being lifted and shaken and I felt a renewed energy pouring through me. In time, I connected my experience with the elements, grounding energy of Earth, sinking and flowing as Water, lifting and moving in spirals as Air, and the warmth and blaze of Fire...as these blended into Spirit I began to journey and fell into what felt like a sleep state. I came out of the sleep state as the resonance shifted, and it gently brought me to stillness over several minutes, softening and slowing until the program ended. I felt refreshed and renewed and was already deciding that "Oh, I have to do this on a regular basis!" And, the fact that there are programs to access many energetic states is so exciting! I can say from the bottom of my freshly renewed heart, DO try this new healing opportunity at Oasis at the Mill! It is truly extraordinary!

The iced latte hit the spot. Even my 15 year old stole some sips because she liked it and isn't a coffee drinker (yet). As for the crepes it was ok. I went with the Brie, apple and turkey Brie which is usually an amazing combo but just wasn't doing it for me. I ate about half because I was famished and held off on the rest. My husband polished off his Hawaiian crepe and my daughter did the same with her pizza crepe. Since we were there for lunch we went savory over sweet, but the sweet ones did look good. I'd come back for coffee, but would probably eat elsewhere next time. However it was a very cute cafe in an adorable little center not too far from campus.
