Flavor wise... this is one of the better Starbucks in the area, service wise? The worst. I always do mobile orders and walk in to pick-up because otherwise you can get caught in a pretty long line. Never ever have I even once been greeted when I walk in. No one asks if I have a mobile order, I just stand there staring at the drink area waiting, or I have to interrupt them to ask them to check. Caffeine time! I always enjoy my Starbucks visits. This location did a dynamic job of quick and friendly service. My order was taken by a fabulous girl who made my visit worthwhile. Not every location has the certain spunky associates but this one surely does. The entire crew here has a team spirit that generates the place! The store location is very easy to navigate in and out of. Plus it has the convenient drive through as an option. It is kept very clean in and out of the store. There is plenty of seating along with outside seating if you choose. The Starbucks stores aren't as abundant in this area so this is definitely my go to place. Fabulous all around! read more

I love Starbucks and this is a chain so this review will be primarily on the service of this particular venue. The wait time is longer than most drive-thru's which is forgivable but definitely a point of improvement. The baristas are friendly for sure! But I wouldn't say they are expert baristas and the small touches that make each Starbucks brew special are often lacking. There's been a few mistakes that were easily fixed but again, room for improvement. Extra bonus that this is a drive-thru otherwise I would prefer the Target Starbucks just down the road. read more

Your hipster atmosphere, your overpriced coffee, your free iTunes songs/app cards, your fellow customer who drives away angrily because they're busy and have been asked to wait. But let's be clear (think of this phrase with Obama's voice - it might make you smile/wince) -- where the rubber meets the road is in the customer service -- and sometimes it's not always the same at every store - here, I'm glad to pay exorbitant prices because I dig the coffee shop and those who serve there, even if I have to drive a little further than a Tim Horton's. Chuck (manager, I believe?) is incredible. I have had conversations with him that have made me think - "This guy generally cares about his guests." This Starbucks donates to charity - old stuff to shelters, etc. That always helps, too. So yeah - something is going right at this place. The staff is consistently friendly and there is usually enough seating - especially near electrical outlets to plug in laptops - which sets this location apart from other Starbucks locations. However, this location loses points for having an exceptionally cramped parking lot. The lot is usually near full. Also, the location of the drive-thru window relative to the intersection (and the turning restrictions out of the lot) make this a tricky place to get in and out if during peak hours. Right next to dunkin donuts so if they ever run out of goodies (chocolate croissants) u can alway hop skip and jump (literally) to the double d's and get a caloric insulin inducing sweet chocolate fried goodness. Sorry to say that this is one of the worst Starbucks I've ever visited. I typically stop here 3-4 times a week for a plain black grande coffee but they manage to mess it up about every 10th visit by adding cream. I always call to complain and they always give me the next one free but how hard can it be to make a black coffee? My last visit probably permanently turned me away. I was behind one other car who was taking several minutes to get their order, the. I pulled forward when they were done. Just then another car pulled up to order behind me. When I got to the window I saw that my plain coffee was sitting at the window but no one was there. I did notice another employee making another coffee, presumably for the car behind me. After waiting another minute without service I honked my horn and that employee just put up her index finger to tell me "just a minute". Very bad customer service. Not once but almost every time I come in this location. Not very friendly staff, long wait, and not very clean store. Also today, I have to tell the person mixing my hibiscus refresher because the cup she was using slipped in her hand and touched the sink and some splashed in her hand and she still wants to give me that. So I asked her, "u still using that?" She reasoned it's still in the cup but I showed her I wasn't happy, that's when she dumped it and made a new one. This new downriver Starbucks has a really similar layout to the location on Southfield in Allen Park. The layout is the same, but the furniture is different. This location has a nice big table for studying with groups, and plenty of outlets for laptops, etc. The drive-thru makes grabbing a quick coffee a breeze and the staff is really friendly (though many of them seem totally green, so there might be a learning curve). read more
