    Pool hall

First time here and it was a good experience. Environment: This is a large pool hall with a stage, round tables, and pool tables. Place was clean, pool tables are nice, and more than 1 bathroom. Food: They don't have food here but outside food is welcome. Drinks: They have a full bar but not very many draft beer options. Staff: The bartender was a nice lady.

Young and old living it up!

If you have Gin, as the bartender! Life is great. This is what Karioke looks like on Wednesdays! Hope to see you crazy people here. Drink responsibly.

Is Stardust a good place to hear live music or is it too much of a pool hall?

Great place to listen to live music. The pool hall is a completely separate from the stage and bar. There is so much space here it's pretty amazing. Lots of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy

Instead of basic customer service, I was met with attitude, irritation, and eventually being called "bro" and spoken to disrespectfully in front of other people. I work in service myself, so I'm usually very understanding, but this experience completely killed the vibe of the night. If you're going to charge upscale lounge prices, the staff should know how to treat customers professionally instead of acting annoyed that someone wants their order made correctly.

They have a tiny parking lot which is OK for smaller shows, but they will charge you $20 to park at bigger shows like Juvenile tonight or Psych Fest. The only other parking option is in the residential streets about 5 minutes walk down the road. But I feel extremely bad for the people in those homes who were there before this venue started doing big concerts. With that said...it used to be a cool little bar with a large covered tent stage and they decided that wasn't big enough. It's also sooooo far South. They charge a 20% "TIP" automatically on every bar purchase. So an IPA was nearly $17. Unless C3 or Live Nation has bought them this is just insane. While this is legal...if it's mandatory, it's not a "tip" under IRS rules -- it's a service charge. That means it belongs to the business, not automatically to the server. That's F'd up and they need to change the language on that.

The new chef has been great and attentive to what customers want. I have been very impressed! The brussels sprouts are cooked beautifully, have a very tasty sauce, and have crushed pistachios on top. Yum. The wedge salad has generous portions of crisp lettuce cups with delicious bacon and blue cheese. I have mine with ranch dressing and their dressing is excellent. I have added chicken and shrimp on my salads and both have been very good. My nephew loves the pasta Alfredo. The menu has a good combination of casual food and more refined dinner fare. The restaurant has a beautiful outside patio with views of the golf course. It has become one of our favorites for relaxing meals.

But for some reason former management stuck to the traditional, anachronistic "members' only formal dining" concept. The casual grill was no more than a walk-up for golfers and bratty kids with their memorized account numbers coming from the pool. The food was mediocre at best and way overpriced. Not anymore! THE KEY: THE MENU MAKES SENSE The new management of the Grille have employed a smart business plan: top quality ingredients in accessible formats such as sandwiches, salads and apps; all averaging about $11 or less. Nothing fancy, but similar in scope to say "Houston's" where patrons' know that anytime they don't feel like cooking they can head over for a consistently high quality dinner. OH YEAH... They have outstanding margaritas too!

I am a Yard Bar refugee and recently visited Watering Bowl for the first time. I appreciated their…read moreregistration system, which allows you to handle everything online before arrival. However, when I arrived, no one was at the front, so I had to check in at the bar. I wonder how that process works for dogs that may not follow all the rules and are already in the park. The concept is quite similar to Yard Bar, right down to the mulch. The bar offers canned beer, wine, cider, sodas, and water. The restrooms are porta-potties, but the one I used was clean. The park features many large trees and plenty of shade. Three Rufferees were present at all times, and I thought the use of walkie-talkies was a nice touch. The front desk informs the Rufferees of the dogs' names, which is quite cute. I do wish the bar provided water for humans; instead, you have to purchase a can of Liquid Death. There was ample parking available. Overall, it was a decent experience, and we plan to return when we have more time to make the drive.
