I hosted my dream wedding here! Raman was super nice and very chill to work with. This banquet hall is gorgeous and very spacious. There were a couple of hiccups along the way on the day of our wedding, but it didn't stop us from having the time of our lives. The ambiance of the banquet hall feels like a hotel ballroom, but much more afforable. All 110 parking spaces was for us to use! I highly recommend this place for large events. Its very much like a blank canvas where you can draw every little detail and watch your vision come alive on the big day. Our contract came with 2 police officers and 2 bartenders. Clean up is included as well. We brought in our own drinks and caterer at no extra charge (no corkage or catering fee). There were no hidden fees after we signed the contract, which is amazing! Our vendors could come as early as 9am to start setting up and they were thrilled at the early start time. Good luck to future customers of Starlite. My husband and I chose Starlite as our wedding ceremony and reception location and have no regrets at all! Starlite was actually the first venue we toured and we fell in love with it right away. Raman was the one who helped us from beginning to end and honestly, I don't know how we could have done it without him. Our wedding guest count got bigger and bigger as the months got closer, but Raman was informative, accommodating and helped us not panic. Raman was easy to contact and very responsive during our entire process. He gave us advice for the bar, gave us ideas for where to hold the ceremony, and worked with our coordinator to help with the table placements and room layout. The ambiance of the venue was exactly what we were hoping for. It was spacious enough to accommodate 300 guests and the space is such a blank canvas, we really were able to create our vision with it. The chandeliers and pillars add a beautiful touch. Everyone was amazed since while the outside does not look too fancy, the inside was perfect! The dance floor was spacious and the bar and bartenders were great! Raman was even one of our bartenders that night! Wooo! There were no hidden fees which was amazing. We also worked with Ramsin as the date got closer and he was also very friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend this venue. I've called at least 4 times, emailed them twice to get a hold of someone, ANYONE to call me back for wedding venue information. Each time I call, one of their customer representatives would take my info down and that's pretty much where it all ends. The email listed on their website bounced back because their mailbox is full. I am super pleased with the Starlite Banquet Hall!! We had my daughter's wedding on 2/17/17 and Raman the coordinator was super easy to work with. He made us feel very comfortable, and all of our requests and demands (haha!) he took with a positive attitude and made them happen!! Planning a wedding is so stressful but when you work with people like Raman who have great customer service, it definitely made all the difference!! He was awesome leading up to the wedding day and even more wonderful the day of the reception. He even bartendered during our event and I got nothing but great compliments from my family and friends on how respectful, fun and great Raman and Ramson were. This is the nicest banquet hall in the area! Their painting and decor is super nice, and their chairs and tables are all new! Their hall manager Mary is really sweet! Mary is very professional and she responds to phone calls in a timely manner. I love how you can bring your own catering which is less expensive than any hotel! I had my daughter's quinceañera in July and was absolutely amazed by the choice I made in having it at Starlite Banquet. When I initially booked it (6 months ago), it was beautiful and at the time of the event- it was gorgeous. They did some upgrades. Ramsin was a big help and was always willing to go the extra mile to assist in any questions I had. He was feasible in allowing us to have our vendors go and for us to do our rehearsal. Great location, good parking, great place. I took off one star only because the 2 San Jose POlice officers I had to hire due to me serving alcohol, seemed very lazy. They were inside my event and on their phone practically the whole night. I don't think I'm paying for an officer to just be on his phone. Another reason was, I had tons of alcohol and the bartender didn't really take the time to look at what options he had. He kept telling my guests he didn't have anything when in fact I had a variety of wines, beer, and vodka. Overall I recommend this Banquet. AMAZING!!! read more

We chose this venue for my daughter's wedding this past Sunday 12/7/14. Located in the Willow Glen area it sits in a great location with easy access to the 87 fwy. From the beginning Starlite Banquet made it such a pleasant and easy experience. This venue is gorgeous and top notch. They allow you to bring your own spirits(must use their bartender but that is ok because they were fantastic and young and hip and very professional) and caterer which is very hard to find in the San Jose Area. They have a professional kitchen if needed we didn't but it is there. The hall is very well taken care of and clean and has had some new upgrades installed. The value for the price is exceptional and you will not be disappointed. When going to see the hall be sure to go later in the evening if possible so that you can see it with the lighting on inside because it shows itself better then. It's a very large venue holds like over 400 people but our wedding was just 130 and it was just fine. They have everything you would need from the tables, chairs and sound system to a beautiful bar that you can stock for your event. The drapery and chandeliers are so elegant and they are adding colored lighting that you can also choose to have. Our guests were in awe and could not stop complementing on the venue and how beautiful it was. The staff was so kind and the event coordinator was there making sure everything was going smoothly the entire time. They were not overbearing at all and you did not feel like they were ordering or controlling or anything like that. They genuinely cared that our event was going the way we wished. We did have security that was included in the cost of the rental (SJPD) who stayed out of the venue and out of sight but I myself liked them there not that we needed them but it was nice to have that feeling of security. They have plenty of parking so your guests do not have to park on the street. There is a conference room upstairs that we had access to so that the bride could get ready as we had the ceremony there as well. I can go on and on I am so glad I found them and chose them. I will always recommend this venue and cannot say a bad word AT ALL about it. It was that good. Not too many people can say that about a venue so if you are getting married you should definitely visit them. After finding out how much the hall rental fee was and any services that I required for my event, I realized that the price was below any other venues in San Jose/Bay Area. I definitely had no hesitations in booking the venue right away. During the event, everything went smoothly and I had no problems. I recently had my wedding reception there on 9.29.18 and I must say everything was beautiful. I personally worked with Raman from the very beginning. He was super informative, punctual and polite. He answered all my questions that I had regarding the banquet & allowed me to come multiple times with my wedding planners and vendors. He was alot of help! Few days before the wedding I met with Rasmin he was so helpful. He was patient with us and helped create the lay out. He gave us great suggestions. For example cocktail hour instead of having full liquor for our guest he recommended to only serve beer & wine than at dinner allow hard liquor. Which worked out great because my party had alot of heavy drinkers. One thing I really enjoyed about this venue was, we were able to bring in our own alcohol. From the day we booked the hall to our actual wedding day our experience with Ramsin and the Starlite was impeccable. Ramsin was always responsive, informative, helpful and generous. I went to every hotel/hall/ballroom in the area but when I stepped inside I knew in an instant I had to have my event here. In fact, I had already scheduled my church but the hall was booked on that date so I even moved the date of my wedding just to have it here! This was my wedding venue may 24, 2014 I absolutely loved this place! After looking at different locations for the wedding I decided on Starlite Banquet due to the fact it was cheap, the manager Ramsin allowed us to bring in our own liquor (beer and wine), they did all the cleaning, and the hall it's self was well kept and perfect for my vision. It was big enough to hold 300 Mexicans a banda (Lol) Working with Ramsin was the best I told him exactly what I wanted for that day which was to come in eat, drink, party and leave with my presents. They did all the cleaning. Vendor's were allowed to come in around 8am the morning of to set up and come back around 1130 to get their stuff once the party was over. Some vendors talked to ramsin personally to see if they could come the night before and drop off their large equipment. Ramsin also recommended Catering for all occasions. (Which was my caterer check my review) This place was perfect! I didnt have to completely cover up the walls in draperies due to the fact it had pillars and fancy ceilings. Many of the guests didnt even know that place existed they liked the look and the location. This was one thing I looked forward to the party everything came together all the vendors worked well together and ramsin was always willing to help. I definitely recommend this place especially if you're having a 300-400 guest list. read more

This place definitely has everything anyone would want for an event hall. It is very well kept and nicely put together even when there is not an event going on. I went to check this place out with my sister in law for her quinceanera because she is going to have up to 500 people. To find a hall to accommodate that amount is like finding a needle in a hay stack. The event coordinator was great and broke down the pricing information with great detail. FYI she is also a floral/decoration designer, her work was lovely! Unfortunately we did not book the hall. Even though it was less expensive than going through a hotel, it was still slightly over our frugal budget. There is not a lot of parking, which in the contract you pay for valet attendants to store cars in their over flow parking lot. Guest do not have to pay the valets. You have to provide someone to work the bar and they must have a bartending license or pay someone to be there all night and in addition you must provide an event license. Also, their cost per security guard per hour was higher than other places. This place is lovely and has a lot of potential but if you are on a strict frugal budget it is definitely not the place to book. read more

There are options in San Jose, but very few to hold a large wedding (400+ guests). When I first looked at the venue online, it had a lot of potential. Then when i had my first meeting with the managers (Ramsin and Shameran) they sealed the deal. They were so easy to work with. They were accommodating and flexible. I worked mostly with Ramsin as it got closer to the wedding date. He was so nice and sweet. He was very responsive to my emails (responds within the hour) and the many questions that i had. On the day of the wedding, my coordinator worked more closely with the team. She said they were easy to work with and whatever she needed she got. Here's why: * It's an impressive, beautifully appointed space with high ceilings, great sound system, dance floor and stage. The tables and chairs are provided, and you can dress it up however you like with linens and tableware. * The bar and kitchen set-up is well laid out and you can bring in your own catering, wine, beer, etc. for no extra charge. This alone made Starlite the most cost-effective choice for our event. Every other place I looked at added fees for bringing in outside catering, and would have required us to use their in-house beverage service or pay corkage. * Lots of free parking. * The event staff will let you start setting up as early as 7am on the day of the event, so we had all day to get ready. All of the Starlite staff (event manager, facilities manager, bartenders, security) were professional, friendly and responsive. Our party was a huge success, everybody was impressed with the venue, and we will definitely be returning for an even better party next year! read more

This banquet hall is BEAUTIFUL. I still can't believe a hall like Starlite exists in the middle of San Jose... in a church! It's not only spacious, but it's so classy. I recently attended a wedding here, and I was blown away by the decor and design of the venue. The catering does not have to be done through Starlite, so that is definitely a plus! You have the option to bring your own catering. The staff seems very friendly, flexible, and professional. This banquet hall can easily fit 400-500 people. The only downfall is that for some people, it's in a location that is hard to find/park. Had my wedding here last year. Very spacious and beautiful venue. The staff were great! Very accommodating and reasonable price. Parking was convenient with plenty of parking for my 230 guests. Restrooms had more than one stall. The only disappointment I had was the changing room was not very convenient and I wasn't able to use their bar because it was under construction. They set up a bar for me which worked out fine. Their bartenders were great! Very courteous to my guests. Even when they were drunk and acting crazy.
