I thought I was going to be fortunate bringing my computer here. Was going to pay at least 250 to get my laptop fixed and it ended up being that they wanted to charge me another 100 as much as Best Buy was charging me. They did not fix it for the price they said and they also fucked up the computer more. It would turn on and charge and now it doesn't even turn on and it doesn't sense my charger. I came here giving it the benefit of the doubt. Bright my computer to get the software fixed with one line on the screen. I had to call to see if my computer was ready when they said they would call me it's ready. I went to pick up my computer and it had two additional lines on the screen I asked about them and the lady started being argumentative about the lines. I was just asking a simple question. Then I asked if they had a warranty on the software and she goes to describe what a warranty is and insult me by saying I look confused. I know what a warranty is. I was just waiting for her to stop the attitude and just a answer my simple yes or no question. The lady has a bad attitude and I can tell she treats her husband like crap. Poor man tried to help and she always takes over and he just sits there quietly. The place is very cluttered . I will not recommend this place and will never come back again. After calling several repair shops on the Labor Day holiday, I came across First Step Computer. Luckily they were open and the woman I spoke to on the phone was very informative. I stopped by for a free evaluation and spoke to Julian about the battery on my laptop that needed to be replaced asap. I walked out at 12pm and my laptop was ready to be picked up by 2:30. Thank you so much Julian for your service!! I haven't been able to take my laptop to school because it wouldn't turn on without being plugged in to the charger. They work real hard at making sure ur problem is resolved in a timely manner. Through a very tough situation at them, and they left me with the impression that they really tried their best to help me...they were unable to...but their strong interest in wanting to help me is why i am looking forward to working with them again. I came to first step with my mom, who had been telling me to take my computer in to get fixed. I have an HP 19 All-In-One computer, that would power on when it felt like it, and then finally decided it wanted to stop powering on completely, which was a bummer because the computer was fairly new. So, that was my reason to coming in. I took my computer in probably around the last week of march and barely got it back yesterday (last week of april). I dont really have an issue with it taking so long, because it is fixed and has been working beautifully, im actually writing this review from it right now! haha! So, the only reason i am giving it 4 stars is because, i wish they would have communicated with me a little bit better. I felt like i was calling every other week to hear some kind of update in regards to my computer, and each time i would call, id be given a run down of what was going on (which i always appreciated) and they id be told it would take about another week. And so, the week would come and id hear nothing, so then id call, and be given another run down, and told another week. But, all in all, im very happy with the work they did. read more

My mouse broke and I didn't want to go to big store like Best Buy so I called here and they said they sold mouses. I went in and bought one, then tested it out at home but I ended up returning it. When I returned it, the guy who sold it to me was upset that the packaging was missing those little tiny plastic strings that tie together the cords. He made a big deal out of it and even threatened to charge a re stocking fee. I was just surprised how serious he was and I know it's a small business but shouldn't that be even more of a reason to treat your customers right? Just seems like he had something against me from the start. Hopefully he isn't mad anymore! read more

When they were next to the teriyaki burgers I was taking my computer to get fixed. They expanded to a bigger area which is nice. When I didn't have a computer i would come here and do my work. Now i come when I need something to print. Really good service. read more

Awesome Service!! I spilled coffee on my $1,200 laptop and was freaked out that I would need to purchase a new one. I took my laptop to First Step Computer and they took it apart, cleaned everything and replaced the keyboard. Repair only took a few days and the laptop is running perfectly.
