Super cute legitimate wine tasting room on Front Street in Poulsbo. Leomion was casual with me and clean lines inside. They sell local snacks from Crimson Cove that pair well with their wines. The owner is super nice and helpful. Can't wait to take a trip back to try some more wine. The cab was out of this world delicious.

This was a great way to spend the afternoon. Barbie helped us out and entertained us. She was very helpful. We did a tasting and ended up purchasing two bottles. The wine was delicious and a great souvenir for my friends vacation to visit me.

We were greeted by a somewhat responsive human who immediately needed our first name, last name, and email address before we could even get settled. At one point I was thinking, "I'm sorry, should we have scanned a QR code and filled out an application before entering?" After waiting a few minutes, we were finally seated, but the service didn't get much warmer. Our server barely made eye contact with us, and overall the staff just seemed uninterested in engaging with their guests. Ironically, the only time we really saw employees smiling was when they were talking to each other. Maybe this atmosphere works for some people, but when I visit a winery, I'm looking for something welcoming, personable, and enjoyable. This felt more like a transaction than an experience. Unfortunately, we won't be returning or recommending it. Mark Ryan Nextdoor was way more pleasant!

The place is huge, with lots of seating for groups of all sizes, big open spaces for kids and dogs to run around, and a whole area of the farm where you can stroll and chat while admiring the wide array of plants they grow here. They have ample parking, and thankfully a very intuitive set up for finding food and drinks. They had a pretty good selection of food vendors on a Sunday night, and we ended up getting a banh mi each from Friendly Nettle, and a dozen oysters for me from Moonlight Oysters. Food came out quick, after which we found a seat out near the sunflowers. I really enjoyed my pork banh mi -- it's more of a pork sausage than a grilled pork, but it was really tasty with great bread and stuffed full with pickled shredded veg and cilantro. My dinner buddy found that he wasn't a huge fan of tempeh in a banh mi but still found it a satisfying meal. The oysters were also delicious. They were serving up the Aphrodite variety that night, which were petite shots of mineral-y goodness. After dinner and a stroll through the grounds, we got some delicious vegan ice cream at Fiddlehead creamery. We loved their strawberry flavor and were excited at how all the flavors are vegan here! Keep in mind if you're thinking of visiting Finnriver that even for this area the food vendors close early here (like 7-7:30ish). If you want to eat, make sure you come out on the earlier side!

The issue was not that the winery had expectations for a large group. The issue was the complete lack of communication and the way those expectations were handled. When we arrived, no one informed us that there was a minimum spend requirement or that our group needed to order a certain amount immediately. Several people in our group had already started ordering, including a bottle of wine and a glass of wine, and we were still settling the kids, reviewing the food options, and deciding what else to order. Within just a few minutes of sitting down, staff began pressuring us to order food. Shortly after that, another staff member approached us and told us we needed to clean up after ourselves and meet a minimum spend of around $500. None of this had been clearly stated before we sat down, and we were given no reasonable time to get organized as a group. If a winery has a large-party policy, minimum spend, or specific expectations for families with children, that should be communicated upfront, clearly and respectfully, before guests are seated. Instead, the interaction felt rushed, uncomfortable, and unwelcoming. We had every intention of ordering more wine and food, but the tone and handling of the situation made the experience feel transactional and unpleasant. Fletcher Bay may be a nice spot for smaller groups, but based on our experience, I would not recommend it for families or larger walk-in groups unless their policies are made much clearer and their hospitality improves.

Bainbridge Vineyards popped up on Yelp and seemed to be one of the better wineries on the island. There was a little parking lot out front we were able to find parking at. When we left there seemed to be a lot of overflow parking along the gravel path. They had live music playing that late afternoon. We decided to do a wine flight tasting which was a lot of fun. There were seating options outside by the tasting room and music. We ended up sitting back in their more green space on some adirondack chairs. This place felt like it was for all ages. We saw everyone from babies to seniors. The space was such a vibe and it was a wonderful place to catch up on summer stories. We ordered our drinks up front and the woman who served us was kind. It was a seat yourself type of place and bus your own table. I loved how local it felt. I really liked the wines we tried on the flight too! I'd recommend this spot.
