State street pizza is one of the best pizza steaks I have ever eaten. There is nothing better in this area. If I could give more than five stars , I would. All I can say is excellent!! The Market at Liberty Square - a micro Reading Terminal Market in Kennett Square. State Street Pizza & Grill - a nice cheesesteak option in the square. This is a case of where everything else helped the score of the cheesesteak. $10 was a little steep for this cheesesteak BUT $5 Happy Hour draft beer was a great price equalizer. The amount of meat was the only weak spot on this cheesesteak (more meat then you need more cheese, but you get the point). A lot more meat on this cheesesteak and the Market at Liberty Square would be a top cheesesteak destination. read more

We ordered wrap trays from State Street Grill this past weekend for my bridal shower and what a complete disappointment. The order was placed over a week prior and the day of the wraps were not ready and the manager on duty as like "whoops I guess it wasn't in the system". The wraps that were then delivered had one piece of meat in them and a complete disgrace. We ended up throwing away the entire tray after having spent a ridiculous amount on the platter. Went in for a 20 pc order of garlic Parmesan wings at 7:44pm mind you no one else is in the store right now, no orders coming through on the phone. Employees are just standing around watching you. 8:10 rolls around my girlfriend and I are expecting our food soon they said 15-20 minutes it'll be ready, well at 8:12 he just starts putting my raw wings in.. Another couple had came and ordered huge hoagie orders etc and left before us. We got our wings at 8:30 pm.. The wings were not well done like we had asked, they lacked serious flavor which we weren't expecting considering the store had decent reviews but after waiting 45 mins for food we still had to wait an additional 5-7 mins for extra sauce just to have something close to what we ordered flavor wise. It's one thing if it was super busy but alas, there was barely anyone there. The food itself was not too bad - it seemed that the lasagne was made in-house and not a frozen packaged item which is always nice. The sauce was pretty good as well, very flavorful and sweet. The cheesesteak was alright, certainly not the best I've had but not the worst. The cream of mushroom soup was tasty and warm and chock full of mushrooms. The food is good, the service could use some work. This weekend we placed an order on DoorDash for three cheesesteaks, two of which were supposed to be chicken cheesesteaks... Which is not what we received. I understand that mistakes happen and orders get screwed up. But what I didn't like was when I called the restaurant to tell them about the mix up, the kid on the phone responded with "ok" and hung up. There was no effort to fix our order. They have new pizzas out every day and will occasionally try out new toppings to see how they turn out. After calling them an hour later to bring their mistake to their attention, they offered to drive out a new Stromboli to my home. Now that is pure class and great business ethics. We recently moved into the area and this has become our favorite pizza place. Their prices are very reasonable, the pizza tastes great. Delivery can take awhile so toy have to plan accordingly. We've also had 2 times we could not get through on the phone. Their regular cheesesteaks are good but we didn't care for their chicken cheese steaks. The chicken was bigger chunks and we prefer more finely chopped chicken but that is a personal preference. read more

Really torn about how many stars to give . We arrived shortly after 5 and placed an order for a cheeseburger sub a turkey sub and an order of fries . We went to the bar nearby and waited. After maybe ten minutes they called us . My husband went to get our order and only the cheeseburger and fries were ready. They should have left them under the heat lamp until the cold sandwich was ready. We had to wait 10-15 minutes more for the cold sandwich while the hot stuff was getting cold . Portions are extremely generous and the burger was tasty but I can't recommend given the abysmal service issues. read more

Their delivery is fast and drivers are very nice- always notice the baby's toys when they approach the door so they knock softly and don't ring the door bell at night- how sweet?! The pizza is great- crust is good, Stromboli's are huge (a mini easily feeds two), delicious, and very reasonable. Appetizers don't disappoint, salads are as to be expected from a quick serve Italian place. Counter service is a bit slow sometimes but the Market at Liberty gets really busy during lunch and dinner so it's to be expected; plus they're making it to order so it's worth the wait- nothing pre-prepared here! Ordered dinner at 5:30 and was told 35 to 45 minutes for delivery. Had to call three times to find out where my food was. The girl answering the phone lied to me twice that my food was on the way.
