Sausage and onion with extra sauce

This pizza is delicate with a nice taste. It is cooked well done and crispy. The owner gets belligerent when you ask for extra sauce on the pizza. The person answering the phone says they will try but can't make any guarantees. The same is true if you ask them to cook it a little less time. When you go to pick up the pizza, the owner questions you why you need extra sauce. Simply telling them that the pizza is dry is not enough. He tells you he put a little more sauce than usual, but it is still barely noticeable. So much for the customer always being right. The other bizarre thing about this restaurant is when you call to order pizza they ask you what time you'd like to pick it up but then they tell you available timeslots. It seems they need 15 to 20 minutes between orders. It is also strange that they are only open four days a week. it sounds like it's more of a hobby than a business.

The BEST pizza in the area. Crust, sauce, cheese... everything was sublime :) Congrats to the business for their nearly one year anniversary!

I think it's the best pizza in Kennett, besides Portabellos pizza . Crust is exactly how I want it, crispy.

Phenomenal. The dough is perfect, flour is imported from Italy. Philly special, pepperoni and cookies is my go to.

This is the best pizza in Kennett Square. It is thin with cornmeal on the bottom, slightly burnt and flavorful.

Service was extremely slow and if we didn't talk to a manager, we'd probably still be sitting there waiting for someone to take our order. It took about 20 minutes for the server to take our drink orders and tell us the specials, then he disappeared. After waiting another 30 minutes for our server (other tables around us seemed to have attentive wait staff), we spoke to a manager. Instead of saying that she was sorry and would send him over to us, she stated that he was the best server in the restaurant and was dismissive of our complaint. He finally arrived, didn't apologize for forgetting about us and we ordered dinner. Other aspects of service were also lacking. We were a party of four, and were served a basket with three rolls. Someone brought out a fourth roll in a paper napkin, very strange. The food was adequate, but not as good as in previous visits. Lastly, the manager didn't offer us anything for our trouble. We weren't expecting them to comp the entire meal, but maybe a free dessert or coffee? Nothing. Sadly we will not be going back there.

The food came out a little slow though but worth it. Starters: Brussel Sprouts: 5/5 delicious and made well. The skin lightly fried but not charred. The dish balance with pieces of bacon and the cheese plays well with the balsamic vinegar. Rib rolls: 4/5 The shredded short ribs could be a bit more moist and flavorful but pairs very well the horseradish aioli. Chicken Alfredo: 5/5 likely on the of the best Alfredo I have had. Grilled chicken was perfect not too dry and flavorful and the noodles cooked to perfection. The sauce was flavorful but not too heavy with cream like most places. Meat Lover Pizza: 4/5 Solid pizza! Well balanced and not overly salty. French Onion Patty Melt: 5/5 Perfect medium cook and delicious. Not too salty. Onions savory and sweet. Perfect crunch of the bread. Chicken Caprese: 4/5 It was good. Pesto brought a nice brightness to balance the heaviness of the fried chicken. Overall: 5/5 a great place that delivers well on their food. Out of six people only one dinner was edible, the short ribs. I'll start with veal al sudo, described on the menu as jumbo crab meat arugula topped with veal medallion, sounds great right? What we received a plate Frozen vegetable carrots and broccoli amount of mashed potatoes and on top really bad looking veal, see picture,. One of the other dish was ziti arrabiata, how can you screw that up all it is is red tomato sauce with red pepper flakes, right? Well what we got instead was pasta swimming in a red sauce with chopped up peppers chicken and then on top melted mozzarella, the sauce tasted like it was burnt at the bottom and they scraped the pan, not edible. Now how can you screw up a margarita pizza? After all fresh tomatoes fresh mozzarella and basil, right? No, heart as a rock crust regular melted cheese on top, droplets of some kind of tomato sauce overly spiced and no fresh mozzarella, I asked for arugula on top, and that was the only good part of my pizza was the arugula. You would think that a restaurant that wants return clientele would make it right credit you for the food that you did not eat that they took back into the kitchen, but no they decided to only credit 1 margherita pizza out of five meals that were not edible. When I questioned are waitress crediting us for the rest she did not answer me she looked at me and walked away. We left and will not return. normally I always give a restaurant a second chance when they make the effort to make the customer happy, but not this time. Not sure if they have a new cook or possibly going through hard times. They gave us free dessert to take with us as we were leaving thinking that would make up for the bill that we paid for all the uneaten food that was not edible.

We initially planned to have dinner at the restaurant, but our GPS led us to the adjacent sports bar with the same name. We were seated at a high-top table near the bar and greeted by our friendly server. The menu was similar to the restaurant (I think), but regardless, we were looking for pizza and a beer. They offer two styles of crust: NY-style and Neapolitan. We ordered a cheese pizza with the latter wood fired crust. Our pizza arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was fine. The crust was not as light as I thought it should be. The pie was a good size and plenty for both of us. Service was great the entire evening, and we enjoyed our meal.

I wasn't sure what to make of it as I would have expected a full house on a Saturday night. I'm going to start with a few opportunities. First, the initial glass of water I was brought was not clean. There was literally some food on the side of it. Second and keeping on the topic of water, the waiter did not come back to fill empty glasses of water. Next, I was looking forward to the tomato garlic bread but it was hard when I but into it. Finally, my counterpart ordered a burger and after eating about half of the burger, each bite was like biting into a pallet of salt. It was like someone accidentally spilled a salt shaker so he obviously couldn't finish it. On the positive side, the place was quiet which was nice, the manager (or maybe it was even the owner) when we asked for more water bought us a carafe so we didn't run out again (which I love), and also when we left I accidentally forgot my takeout container on the table and again the manager (or owner) ran out after us to get it to us which I appreciated so much. Relative to the food, it was average (minus the salt side of the burger which was not good). The soft pretzel appetizer was good and I had lasagne which was decent enough. I will say it was a huge lasagne portion (two squares)! Overall, I'm not sure I'd go back with so many other options.
