This camp ground is what I call The Unhappy Camper Campground. The swimming pool is all they have to offer that I liked. Rules are endless. Can't bring in your own wood, and must buy theirs, it was wet and wouldn't burn for beans. I found the staff excessively nosey. Can't have a little kiddie pool! It was 90 degrees and we wanted to cool off the little guy, and they made us empty it while they watched. We made the mistake of booking a site for our RV for the whole summer. We have been to far better campgrounds than this one. We will never go back there, i wouldn't recommend this CG to anybody. read more

Very nice campground, we totally enjoyed our stay! The staff was nice, campground is clean and quiet. Seasonal's extremely welcoming and made our stay a absolutely fantastic weekend! Our site was unfinished muddy and puddles like mud you sink 6" in. There was vacant finished sites all around. We were also contacted by security about our dog. Apparently another camper concerned for our dog complained. The dog was outside in the rain and is fine. He goes under the camper in the rain. He likes it outside rain sleet or snow. Campground sucks and people need to mind their business. read more

I was highly disappointed. I was going with my husband and 4 grandkids ages 5-10. It started the Sunday prior, when I called and they told me they were closed due to covid 19, and that they sent out notices of certificates to be used at a later date. (I didnt recieve one but wish I did) When I told them is was for the upcoming week they found out I was in a cabin and of course it was open to me. $$$. I asked on the phone if they had kayaks and how much they were, they responded 25.00 a day. When I got here it was now opened to everyone. I asked about kayaks again and they told me 25 a day but I had to rent for minimun 2 days for 50. I didnt want them for 2 days nor did I know which day yet. They only had 3 and a canoe. So I didnt even bother. We had just got there. Even thought they gave us a map of the site and they circled the cabin. It had colored chairs and no number so I figured that one was rented. There was no number sign we could find for over 20 minutes. Then we just took a chance and used key it was the right one. The day after we found number under a bush and on the ground in back .The cabin is cute, and very good spot. except unlevel so no privacy since doors wont stay shut. The couch was so hard and disgusting I didnt even want anyone sitting on it. They say they sanitize it everytime ppl leave but there were dirty socks in kids room and a bag of rice in plain site in cabinet. So I'm not sure how much sanitizing is done. I understand about the covid 19. And brand new game room being closed, activities etc. But this being out "big" getaway with kids I would have rather been offered a gift certificate. This cabin was 600.00 for 3 nights. I wouldve been better off in a hotel. On the bright side all the regulars seem to be friendly and like it here. They told me if I complained the manager would do something. I believed I complained enough and I was just dismissed. They charge you 50.00 for anything broken or if they have to throw any trash or things out. Does that mean I get 50.00 back for picking up the rice and dirty socks and bringing them to the front sign in. Just look at couch read more

This campground needs an online booking site and for the office to stay open past 5pm. We arrive around 5:30 and called the number on the door to get in. The guy on the golf car had me sign a 'hold harmless' waiver before being escorted to our spot. A little odd, but maybe they've been sued? The campground is large and I did see a lot of permanent campers and the slightly rundown quality that normally comes with that. Many trailers with nobody there overnight. No problem with the 30amp or water connection. Each site has a grey water hookup and there is a dump station available for black tank. The lake area is pretty stagnant and not for swimming. It could be nice for kayaks though. The pool was well kept and large. Overall very wooded and peaceful. read more

Run! This place is what you see in bad movies. Filthy bathrooms. Sites are mostly awful. On hills, unkept. Our looked like a river ran through it. Roads are very narrow and most corners have giant rocks on them that make Turing with a trailer difficult and no forgiveness. I saw a guy rip the side of his rv open. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! These people are unethical. They take care of their friends who camp there over others customers. If you are not in their friend group, you are a nobody. In fact, they allow their friends to stay even if they haven't paid their dues for the year, while making sure you pay for everything and everyone in your party. The staff are rude. Shannon especially. It's not like this is even the best looking campground. The lake is really small and it has limited views. Due to COVID, they had more seasonal campers sign on. This has gone to their head. When people are able to travel again, they will be right back where they were. The sites flood. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This place is not worth your time or money. read more

I love the campground although some of the seasonal people are ridiculous. I just started here this year seasonal and there is one site I drive past and a women sits outside yelling " slow down " I was really going under 5 mph. It's like she is the traffic police without the radar. Seriously she is ridiculous. Other than that the campground is awesome. They have bingo, dances, Christmas in July, fishing area and a pool I enjoy. read more

I am very upset with this campground. My family has been going there for well over 10 years now. We used to rent RV or tent sites and more recently have changed to cabin rentals. We have never been a problem to anyone never had any complaints etc. Last weekend me my mother stepfather and son stayed in a cabin. there was no air conditioner in the window even though the description says there is, we called the office twice because we had no remote for the TV so we couldn't use it the whole time. Then my 130 lb mother sat on a kitchen chair and 2 screws popped out and the cheap cushion bent. I paid for the weekend with gift certificates I had. The last time anyone at that office saw my credit card was before Covid. After leaving I noticed a $125 charge on my credit card. I emailed twice but no response so I called. I spoke with Shannon who was absolutely awful. She said the charge was for the broken chair which cost prob $10. And a gate key not being returned. We never even received the gate key the kids running the desk just kept opening it. What's CRAZY about this whole situation is they charged me without telling me and using a card number from years ago. I called Chase bank and they confirmed this is considered fraud. Unbelievable. Don't go here they are terrible people. read more

They made it sound like a wonderful place but we are very disappointed. We came as a group and there has been nothing but problems and rudeness from the staff. They are constantly passing our sites now. The cabin was very outdated and gross. Most staff has seemed inconvenienced when we initiated interactions, such as buying stuff from the camp store. While they do have an excellent pool, the campground and staff clearly only care about money since they threaten to charge for every small thing and isn't cheap on its own. read more

I'm not a camper! We decided to stay in the cabins. Went with another family and rented 107 and 108. If you are renting cabins I highly suggest you get one of these as they are at the far end of the row of cabins and offer the most privacy. Grounds were well kept, staff was very friendly and helpful. I don't have much to compare this to as it was one of my first experiences 'camping' but we will most likely return. read more

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we've stayed at. The staff members are very accommodating and friendly, pool is kept clean and activities keep the kids busy. The pond is great for fishing too!! There is security patrolling the campground which makes us feel safe and they don't tolerate obscene behavior and late noise which is a plus with small children. I love it here!! read more

My friends and i went over the weekend and stayed in 2 cabins. When we arrived to check in we were asked to sign our lives away and if anything happened to the cabins or campground we would have to pay for it. We weren't allowed to bring firewood in from the outside and had to buy it from them if we wanted to make a fire. When we went into the cabin the lighting was horrible and the oven was locked and could not be used. The bathroom towel holder fell right off the wall, the shower wouldn't turn off completely do all day and night you hear water dripping. The rules stated that we had to completely clean the entire cabin before we checked out otherwise we would be charged a cleaning fee. So when we finished cleaning up before we left we decided to leave 8 tiki torches for the next people that come to stay instead of putting them in the dumpster. Well we drove away and about 30 minutes later we got a phone call stating we left it a mess so we were completely blown away and could not believe they were going to charge us to have the staff clean both cabins. This place is over priced and not friendly at all. Do not stay at that place you will be overcharged. read more

My family rented a cabin for four nights, which purported to sleep 8. The cabin was extremely old, with no ladders to the bunk beds, or guards to assist with younger children on the top bunks. The bunks were thin, extremely uncomfortable mattresses. Affixed to the wall by the door was a price list of all the items in the cabin, if one were to choose to steal them. The Daewoo tv/vcr was next to impossible to turn on, and only got about 10 channels. On Saturday afternoon, someone in one of the cabins (not ours) flushed something down the toilet, backing up the system, causing our toilet to back up in our cabin. The stuff came along with a honey wagon to pump out the clog. They worked in and around our cabin until about 11:30 P.M. The stench from the procedure was disgusting, and we were unable to use our toilet for 12 hours. We were told by camp staff that the plumber wouldn't come out so late on a Saturday night, so if we were asked to only flush "#2." My father-in-law walks with a cane, so this caused additional stress when he needed to walk to the nearest bathroom. Beyond this, every activity cost an additional fee, giving the impression that you were being nickeled and dimed at every opportunity. When we asked about some compensation for the 12-hour lack of a toilet and enduring the horrific stench, we were told that giving refunds was not the policy of the campground. I would not recommend anyone to go to this campground, under any circumstances. read more

This place is an absolute NIGHTMARE and a SCAM of a campgrpund! DO NOT camp here! We camped here July 14 through July 16 and were originally going to stay until the 17th but left because the cabin we rented was absolutley filthy and smelled liked rotten animals. There was a rat trap under the cabin and upon arrival there was hair ties and hair on the window next to the bed from the previous guests. There was also died flies hanging from the blinds adjecent to the bed. Also the sink was loaded with ants crawling! Only reason we stayed for the 2 nights was because we paid over 300 dollars for the weekend and I was not going to disapoint my daughter. 1 star is not even deserved for this hellish campground. We've stayed at Brialle, Wolf's Den and Peqout Ledge and and have never delt with more more inhospitable managament and unlivable sleeping conditions. For these reasons we LEFT the campground on Sunday and cut our vacation short and they STILL had the audacity to charge our card an additonal 150.00 after we left! Campers BEWARE! Rest assured we will be filing a complaint with the State.. i'm sure one of many for this campground from hell. read more

From the minute we walked in and checked in we were treated poorly. The man behind the counter talked to my good friends 70 year old mother like she was a piece of dirt. They have ridiculous rules, such as you have to buy ice and firewood from them... what??? Ice, really? The cabin was run down, dark and tilted so far over that both my husband and I fell in the middle of the night when we got up off the nasty mattress they provided. We left a few items behind, that were brand new, keeping in mind the next family that may stay... Tiki torches, to be exact. Thinking it would be a nice surprise for the next guests. But my friends mother was charged $50 on her credit card for a clean up fee. They said they had to clean up a mess behind the cabin. 6 nicely placed Tiki torches is apparently a mess. It's a good thing I take photos of how we left the place... God forbid they charged my card anything, they would end up in court! Unfriendly, poor service. I would never stay there again nor recommend it to anyone!!! read more

2018 and 2019 season camped at Statelines camp resort in east killingly ct. first year we booked 3 weekends and the following year we camped from april through the first weekend of July. camping community is great, made some great friends while there. In 2020 I made the mistake of booking a 3 day weekend in the month of July on a Sunday afternoon. That evening we had a few positive covid 19 cases within our family circle so I contacted Shannon, Office Manager, to inform her that we were going to cancel. Mind you I never signed the contract mailed to me to finalize transaction, Shannon charged my bank card and refused to reimburse and sent me a gift certificate for the amount charged to redeem at a future time. stated that corporate office do not reimburse once the reservation is made. mind you we talked on sunday and I was pulling the reservation less than 24 hours from the time we spoke. I requested a charge back from our bank and a couple of weeks later we were reimbursed by the bank, so I guess corporate had to returned the money. Today we tried to reserve the Spring fling special and we were told by Shannon, office manager, the corporate denied us the right to make any reservation because of the return charge request. Like I mentioned before met some great people at Stateline camp resort and we shared with everyone and never violated any rules. I'm a ten year Army Military Police and Cavalry Scout, and now a disabled veteran, and still serve the people or our country under the Social Security Administration, but yet corporate felt the need to deny us access to their camp. A reconsideration letter will be filed with "Corporate", also forwarded to all social media and the press in the state of CT and MA. read more
