I honestly don't understand how a grocery store can consistently get something as basic as bagging so wrong. Every time I shop here, the bagging is a frustrating experience--items are tossed in randomly, heavy things on top of fragile ones, cold stuff mixed with pantry items. It's careless and shows a real lack of training or attention. What makes it worse is that they charge for every single bag they use--regardless of how inefficiently they're packed. It feels like I'm being penalized for their incompetence. And to top it off, they're charging for paper bags too, even though the whole point of the California bag fee was to reduce single-use plastic, not to swap one disposable material for another while still charging customers. If Stater Bros. wants to keep charging for bags, the least they could do is make sure employees are trained to use them wisely and responsibly. read more

I'm starting to get disappointed with this store. There's been multiple times I buy food and get home and it's rotten. One with the stuffed salmon they used to sell. Second time with the flap meat that got my sister really sick. Third time when I bought a big tritip and got home and it was very rotten. The smell went all over my kitchen. The fourth time was with the prepacked corn I bought last Thursday, I got home and opened them and they had fungus. If you walk through the pre packed meat section, u see brown/grey hamburger meat and some packaged meats have big air bubbles and look rotten. It's pretty bad. EPIC FAIL Stater Bros Deli. This is the SECOND TIME we have ordered chicken for our high school football team and the order has seemed to have been NON EXISTENT! The order was placed between 8-8:15am on Thursday morning with a very polite young lady and yesterday upon pickup our order seemed to never have been placed. A 100 piece order ?! I think that's a hard one to forget or misplace. The young man who was tending to us had a very nonchalant attitude towards our situation as well. THIS IS NOT THE STATER BROS WAY. Jack Brown is probably rolling in his grave. We were told we couldn't be sold that much chicken in one order but if someone else could come they could sell 2 people chicken to accommodate an order THEY messed up!! This is a disservice to the youth of YOUR community. On top of that we had no other choice than to purchase small fruit bowls, dinner rolls and some other items because we were short on time and couldn't take our business elsewhere. Steven V was my cashier today, first of all he didn't greet me. He just started ringing up my groceries. Then, when I told him I was going to be splitting the bill into two cards, he rudely asked me if it was going to be on my EBT. No, I'm using two ATM bank cards thank you. when I brought up that the container for the tea that he was manhandling was going to break while I was unloading the groceries in my car, he developed an attitude. I have seen the manager ring people up with such a great attitude, I can't imagine that he would approve of this cashiers attitude today. I've not had such poor service at this store. This location does a great job with re-stocking items daily. Checking out was pretty awkward today as me & my fiance were checking out Maria E & Lili were having a full conversation but it was really strange how the customers present didn't seem to stop them from their personal conversation ... they were literally just talking to eachother... I didn't even know when to jump in and say can I get a bag lol ... So I would recommend eliminating side talking while with guests. This review is just for their drive up orders. I have used it 3 times and never again. They take a very long time from when you let them know you arrived to when they bring out your order. Last time I waited about 20 minutes! I was sick with covid but needed groceries. The manager came out and made it uncomfor table reprimanding the employee about the wait and mix up. When I got home I discovered so many items missing. After calling them they went over my entire receipt and said they'd have my items ready again. This is my go to store. Does customer service disappear in the evening hours? The service in the evening hours needs some help. Many times, I do my shopping in the late evening hours after 9pm. On my latest visit on Monday the 13th the last hour of business, the lines were outrageous and I was confused and maybe thought the checkers went to a number system? 1 checker and no bag person? Is this sufficient help to accomodate the customers. The evening customers should have the same luxury as the afternoon customer and get checked out in a timely manner. The last thing I want to do is sit in a line while the poor checker is trying their best while the managers or other employees seem to be having a good time up stairs as I can see them while I was waiting in line. Had a specific craving for a buttercream cake for my gender reveal. We live in Corona but had our party at my mother in laws house by this location. The staff here are friendly & since the remodel I love the placement of a door greeter! Makes it a lot more personable to shop here. I also love the fresh fruit station! However I am not a fan of blocking the straight access to the butcher shop, blocking those aisles makes it even more crowded in an otherwise busy dept. I am also not liking the one entrance/exit door! Makes the traffic outside for parking more chaotic due to people clambering for close by parking! The doors are also crowded on rainy days! People are trying to get in while people are " hanging out " and preparing to exit with their carts in the rain. Just not a great situation there. This is for the SB's in Fontana, Rialto and Bloomington. I have to give KUDOS to all the stores who not only have a sushi maker, but who have a NICE sushi maker. I have been to several stores looking for a simple California Roll and if none are present, they will make one upon request. HOWEVER, the gal at the SB's in Loma Linda is a complete opposite. She has no smiles or manners and if asked to make a California Roll she refuses. It doesn't matter what time of day it is. She makes a boatload of tempura rolls, dragon rolls and veggie rolls and then it's all coated in sweet chili sauce. Not everyone likes sweet chili sauce. I have made a habit to not bother asking her for anything because even when I phoned ahead as she requested, and asked how long it would take, I was there and she still made me wait.
