I usually like shopping at Stater Bros, but the service deli at this location was disappointing. A dark husky employee working behind the counter was extremely loud and seemed more interested in chatting than helping customers. It felt unprofessional and honestly kind of lazy -- several people were waiting, and the service was very slow. He asked us what we wanted, and he immediately went to the back and called us "big backs" and started giggling loudly in the back so disgusting. I hope management pays more attention to customer service here because the rest of the store is fine, but that deli area employee really needs improvement or to be remove read more

Left on Google as well!! I was there just a few days ago getting assistance at the bakery when only a male worker was behind the counter helping EVERYBODY. Everyone I know who shops here especially at the elderly center I live in knows this employee! He is a sweetie! One lady came up demanding he helped her over other customers before her and her husband like she was somebody special and he was still nice to her. I would've told her to go where the sun doesn't shine the way she was acting and he still was nice. I went back today the store 2 days ago just to speak to him and get a cake pop and found out he was suspended!!!! I'm familiar with him and the managers and it's really a shame and bad look on the managers not the employee. I'm disappointed. That's RIDICULOUS!!!!! The deli staff here is incredible! I needed to feed 30 hungry people. I bought a lot of food with not much advance notice. The lunch was an incredible event I have to tell the world about. Lots of platters, two 6 foot subs, cookies, fruit, vegetables, condiments, desserts, lunch meats, cheeses, and more. Looked incredible, and tasted better than awesome! CLEAN MARKET but TOO CROWDED. The check-out lines are so long and the lanes are so cramped here, I don't know why we don't have self-checkout kiosks here yet. The meats are high quality at Staters, I love the burgers and deli offerings. Prices are bit too high here though. I'm impressed that the store is well-stocked and there's a lot of yummy selections in the bakery. I see a lot of seniors picking Staters as their market of choice and I can see why. There's hover chairs and the staff are quite helpful with them. Other than that, I don't find the staff as too nice with younger customers. I don't like coming in to find stuffy Staters staff. There's plenty of produce, wine options, dairy products and frozen selections at this location. It's okay, I'm just not a fan. read more

Buyer beware if you go to the service deli, there is a heavyset, tall, black guy with really tall hair and hair on his face. He is not wearing a net to cover his facial hair serving food. This is unsanitary. He does not need to be working with food with his hair. So if you are getting food from the service deli watch out with this guy, this is not the first time I have seen this happening so I said I should say something I will not be purchasing food from the service deli again. I will be contacting the health department regarding this unsanitary deli department. read more

Me and my family went to this stator brothers and got the carne asada from the deli, went home and cooked it and it immediately tasted like fish, once the entire carne was cooked it smelt like fish and was gross. This is the second time stator brothers meat from the deli has tasted or smelt like fish. Don't recommend buying meat from here read more

I used to work here but it looks when I quit I create a catalyst because I don't see anyone I used to work with. Funny. If that b*tch that still works in the back, avoid her. Micro managed how I swept when one thats not needed for even the most simple minded person and two everyone had different ways to clean. Anyways these days it seems the same. The service I received at this location was amazing. I called into the Service Deli and Bakery multiple times at different hours of the evening to place custom orders for a party this past weekend and every employee I spoke to was VERY helpful and nice. I also went into the location to change these orders the day before the party and again had a great experience. Every employee I spoke to made sure I had exactly what I needed and never made me feel like I was an inconvenience. When I went in to pick up my large order, it was perfect and ready on time and the store employees made sure I was in and out without any issues. I shopped at Stater Bros. located at 3125 W. Florida Ave. in Hemet, CA on Tuesday, 12-26-23. Shortly after I paid for my groceries and left the store 2 men approached me by my car. One man was the store manager, who was rude earlier in the store to us, and the other was the security guard. The store manager accused me of stealing and asked to see my receipt. Just to be clear, I paid for every single item in my cart; I spent $176.84. Neither one of these men were wearing a name tag. The manager told me that he wanted to see my receipt because he thought I stole something. I was humiliated and do not appreciate being called a thief. Being that I have had the worst experiences shopping in Hemet, I was extremely upset when these men literally ran out of the store to catch up to me to accuse me of stealing something, which was absolutely not true. I told them to go back in the store and check with the cashier and I would wait there but I was not showing them anything. There were many people around us, including my child and grandchild. It was an embarrassing situation that should have never happened. This type of treatment is the reason why I drive past the Stater Bros. in Hemet, CA (near Sanderson and Florida Ave) and shop at other stores in nearby cities, even if it is 30 miles out of my way. I normally do not shop at this location anymore because I have gotten crappy service in the past as well, but against my better judgment, I took a chance and shopped there this time. I was hoping to buy a few items and get to my planned event that afternoon on time. Instead I was held up by this nonsense; with these two men approaching me and accusing me of stealing. Both of these men and whoever gave these men the idea that I was stealing should be ashamed of themselves. I have shopped at various locations of Stater Bros. for well over 20 years and never had this problem, but this is how the employees in Hemet, CA treat CERTAIN customers. Since I moved to Hemet, I have received the worst treatment at Stater Bros in Hemet, CA. It is obvious that this was racial profiling and stereotyping and I do not appreciate it at all. The managers, store clerks, and security need better training in customer service and store management. There are real criminals out there but instead, the manager and employees are focused on people like me who actually care about the store and community. I just wanted to give a shout out to this stater bros!!! I do the online order and pick up once a week. This is a great option for those who don't like to go into the store. Every week I'm extremely please with the service I get. Let's start out with the shopping part they always do their best to get everything you order if it's out of stock they do a great job on substituting it. The communication from the shopper is alway professional and they let you know what's out of stock and what's the next best thing. Now for the pick up if you alert them you're on the way it's quick and easy. The last few weeks Keith has been the one delivering to my car. Keith does a great job and is always so nice! Be vary wary of the "fresh" sushi at this Stater Bros. I was trying to get helped with a question I had about some rolls in the display. It took over 15 minutes for a clerk behind the counter to acknowledge me. She finally rudely said the sushi chef had left for the day. That's when I asked why the raw fish was sitting out on the counter if they are cl. She couldn't explain. I asked the manager about it. She said it's a separate company that does it. As I was waiting I saw two flies land on the fish. I will be providing these pics to the health department. UPDATE: While I could never got a call back from the person at corporate who requested I contact her, I did talk to the store manager, Collin, yesterday when I went shopping. He told me he was aware of the situation and had tried several times to contact someone at "Fujisan", the company that runs the sushi section and they had not responded to him. Collin was very pleasant and we talked for a bit about the situation. I told him I have always been pleased with this particular SBros since it opened and this was my first issue at the store. He has spoken with his staff and said he expects customers to be acknowledged and helped professionally, not just blown off. He has called me back a few times with updates and I really appreciate it. Therefore, I changed my 1 Star rating to 4 Stars because of him. I still don't trust the sushi right now because the same Sushi chef is there that I saw that night, but that shouldn't be a reflection on the whole store and his actions prevented me from reporting it to the health department. read more

Store is completely unreasonable. I suggest anyone ordering from the bakery use to think again. Ordered a lavender cake for a 21st birthday and received a blue one. When I called the bakery manager, she told me to bring the cake back and they would fix it. That was also the opinion of the store manager. If it was done correctly, I would not have to return it to be fixed in the first place, but bringing outside food back into your bakery is completely unsanitary period, not to mention during COVID. I will NEVER order from this store again. They received my hard earned money for a product that I thought I was getting and completely delivered something else. So sad, Stater Bros used to be such an ethical business. UPDATE: The store manager has since made the situation right and I appreciate the kindness that my mother said was shown. We do all our shopping at stater Brothers at least twice a week. We do the online order and pick it up. One of your associates Mark is the best employee I think I've ever experienced at a market. He does all the picking of the order he bags it checks it out and always communicates if there's any issues with the order. He also is responsible for delivering the order when we get there always has a smile on his face, and as always very very friendly his service is exemplary and probably the reason we enjoy shopping at stater Brothers so much, he's at valued asset to your company and he deserves to be recognized. Went here last week to purchase some steaks from the butcher. I wish I would have gotten the name of the guy that helped me because he had the best customer service. Super helpful, talked to me and answered all my questions about the different cuts of steak and then offered to season them for me which I didn't even know they did. Absolutely the best store to shop in Hemet, very clean and the friendliest and most helpful employees. The prices are just a little higher than Walmart but the quality of the produce , atmosphere , meat , and employees make it worth it. Gordon in the produce department is very helpful and always has the produce fresh unlike other stores. I never need to worry about strawberries, tomatoes etc. for he is always on the floor checking the fruit and disposing of the old. The meat department has fresh ground beef and a wonderful staff. Sherry in the floral department was also very helpful in arranging an arrangement for my son the flowers there in her department are fresh . The store is very clean and there are very helpful employees on almost every isle willing to help unlike the employees at Walmart or Sprouts where the employees snub you .
