Prices were decent, I bought some kombucha and charcuterie sides for less than $40. There's a notorious shoplifting issue at this Stater's, however the staff are always on alert and protective of the customers. This stater brothers never has anything that you need you go and things are out, the other thing they like to do is they order short on an ad leader, so people will miss out on items and not offer rain checks. There is also flies in bread cabinet I have seen this numerous times and it has been reported to the bakery. I have noticed that many stater Brothers have a lack of courtesy clerks to bag groceries in many different staters throughout Riverside and San Bernardino, counties and to top it off to see stater brothers key carriers/ managers reprimand workers who are bagging/ cart/ ice stockers in front of customers is just so unnecessary, I have seen all this for months now and couldn't control not saying anything anymore. Stater Brothers has sure gone downhill. The vibe is not friendly customer service and the product is just not in the store. read more

This is a great neighborhood supermarket. It's always really clean, the layout is easy to navigate and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Produce section is great and everything is always fresh. I particularly like the sushi department. Really good fresh selection at any time of day being prepared by someone who knows what they're doing. If you can't go to a farmer's market or small local store, this is a good alternative for every day. read more

We went in to get a deli sandwich which we had seen being prepared on a previous visit. When we went to the counter, we ordered the #1. The employee at the counter told us that they couldn't see the menuboard from behind the counter so I would need to tell them the ingredients. So I took a picture of the menuboard and showed it to the employee. He looked at it and I don't think we have the cranberries. As we perused the ingredient list he also said that they didn't have the aioli that was advertised on the menu. He said we could have mustard or mayonnaise. We declined and left. read more

This is a great Stater Bros in respect to the size and the inside deli along with the cooked food. They have a great plant section. Unfortunately, the plant person doesn't label some of their items like the beautiful tree that was there last night. It looks like a fig tree, but maybe not. No one knew what it was, including the manager. . The deli part is decent, but they stop selling warm food at 7 pm, then it's transferred to the cheese section. Their fruit and vegetables section is always clean. My only complaint about this place is their parking lot. Man, there are always shady people in the parking lot, so keep your eye on a swivel. This is why I love shopping our local Valle Vista Staters. The time you walk in, Ben and his team always greet me and my family. This meat counter is by far one of the best in town. Fresh meats, along with cleanliness. Anything special we need ordered or cut his team is eager and helpful. Then to end with friendly and courteous cashiers like Samantha. Always asking if I need ice or stamps in case I've forgotten something. This should be a training store for others. I wish we could remember others because there are many. I Just went to the store last night to pick up some flowers and a gift card for my wife. The gift card was declined and the manager would not give me a refund. When I left the store I was left with a gift card that didn't work and no refund. I tried multiple times to get my money back and the manager would not help or give me a refund. Went to the store looking for the best vegetable oil, left the store with a great friendship and a side of pasta sauce. I didn't have a great day at work today and when I went home I found out that I ran out of vegetable oil, frustrated, I went to stater Bros upset and grumpy looking for vegetable oil so I can actually make myself dinner. I ran into a store employee, Thomas H., He helped me find my vegetable oil and picked the best brand of vegetable oil, the stater bro's brand. He also helped me decided on dinner and literally held my hand through the entire process, figuratively. He took me to the pasta aisle and helped me pick my pasta sauce as well the drink aisle and helped me pick tea. Afterwards, he helped me carry my groceries to the car and bid me a great farewell. Today (Tuesday- March 28, 2023), I just got back from Stater Brothers at Florida and New Chicago. Great selection and great prices. I found the soda I was looking for a a sale price. The young lady (Megan) that helped me load my groceries was so friendly and helpful. Great customer service. It just takes one person to make your day better. I am a disabled senior. This whole store is amazing. Everyone knows me and stops to greet me. They ask about my family and it has that small town feel. Erica is one of my favorite people there!!!! Today they went above and beyond in their bakery department when I let a friend make my daughters cake and she claimed to be good. I was really vague...blue and unicorns. It had what looked a rhinoceros with a horse tail in white icing that was sinking into the cake and its 2pm and I have girl coming at 6pm. So I go to see what I can find. They tell me they will just make me a cake real quick!?!?!! What?? In four hours my daughter will get her blue unicorn cake because Staters is AWESOME!!! read more

I wanted to commend Turner who I've seen and noticed several times in your lot. Literally the last three shopping experiences I have run into Turner. I have not only noticed him approach me, as well as several other customers asking them if he could help load groceries and take their cart. He has taken mine all three times. Today's visit made me realize how cruel and mean people can be towards customer service workers.. I was at the customer service in Dillon is my cashier paying a couple bills for me and he and I are in conversation talking about using the change to the bill to the next bill and the gentleman came up and told Dylan that he needed to go back to school and set it so nasty towards him and just it was a horrible moment for everybody.. my heartfelt verdeleon he does his face just went from upbeat to feeling completely insulted I felt extremely bad for him and the customer and then walked over to the far side register and we're saying something to people I'm assuming it was about him cuz he was pointing and I just did not think that that was fair for him to do that when he had no idea what was going on I felt very bad for Dylan good job Dylan you kept your stuff together did that whole situation I'm very proud of his self control and his demeanor kept it professional the whole way . And as usual the store looks AMAZING I then when I can walk down the aisles and everything looks just straight and beautiful.. I always felt that store has a good team !! For the past two years, we have been shopping at Stater Bros. Market because it is literally right down the street. Convenience, right? Wrong. The last 4-5 shopping trips have yielded bad produce. I'm not talking about wilted salad leaves, i'm talking about completely molded oranges, apples and bananas. My husband just came home with a few bags of groceries and when I checked out the fruit (mixed fruit in a bag) I noticed a horrible smell. After inspection, I said "yup, it's molded." He decided to go right back to the store and let them know about it and get a refund. Well, when he was there, he mentioned that this happens ALL the time. The response? "Well, you need to check your produce better." Excuse me? The customer is at fault because there is bad produce in your store and it hasn't been rotated out? Interesting. We will not be returning to this location. Bad customer service, no problem solving and rotten food. I think not. read more

How about going back to the way you were few years ago! Before you went into the store you looked for what you wanted looked at the price and you picked it up. Now almost everything you have to set there and read and figure out what the deal is. You show a price but that's not the real price. You have to buy 3 or 4 or what ever. Danny was extremely rude. I had returned a stater brothers brand of ice cream. The box had a sealed bag with no ice cream in it. When I showed it to him. He was asking how many were originally in there before I started eating them. I didn't know I had to count the ice cream before I started eating each one. He then said that it could have been an extra bag. Basically calling me a liar, with the proof in his face. I felt disrespected because he then started helping an employ that was next in line. There is nothing more frustrating then getting home and realizing the cashier (Melissa K) who was busy chit chatting with the bagger forgot to ring up your butcher purchase. So I call to complain and got a kid who really could care less about my complaint. Get to the store, get in Melissa's line again and the meat has already been put away so I get back in line at the butcher and order the same thing. Thanks for wasting my time and gas staters. I'm not sure if some of these reviews are for the right Stater's Bros, I know I've been in a few that make me feel I should have a knife on me. If not for protection to cut my way free of whatever was growing in the strawberry shelf (shudders) however the Stater on 43396 State Hwy 74, just had a serious remodel, and its nice and clean there, they have a new wine section. I personally never had a problem with the produce, however I can tell you I broke a milk gallon once, and they were like...just grab a new one. They are always helpful, and when we have to use WIC we generally don't get a hard time. I think my only real complaint is I don't like how they re organized the shelves, not all the food, and all the "other" products, (i.e. cleaning, toilet paper, plastic plates) are on one side of the store and as such it gets a little cramp on one side of the store and a big gap in the middle. read more

Monday July 1, 2019 around 4:15 pm I walked up to the meat counter at the back of the store along side a gentleman in a wheelchair. The butcher comes up to the counter and asks me if I needed help. I said yes I do but this gentleman was here first. So he helped him and I waited patiently. In the mean time another couple walks up. When he gets done with the first guy, he walks towards the couple to help them. I interrupted with an "excuse me I was waiting here, my husband is waiting in the car so I'm in a bit of a hurry." (We were on our way back from his leg surgery and he was supposed to stay off of it). The lady apologized but the butcher looked at me and then reached in to fill their order. I couldn't believe it. Also, if I was the couple I would say serve her first, as I already had done earlier, but they didn't! The butcher and I had just spoken, he knew I had been there. He's either completely rude or completely incompetent. I ended up walking away and they lost my business. read more
