I read some of the reviews before I tried this place so i thought I'd give it a whirl. The food wasn't very good and the service is really bad mainly the 45 minute wait to get your food. Also, the owner or manager guy is very unfriendly too, I guess I'm used to other places in town. I ordered a chili dog and fries. The fries were soggy and luke warm and smelled fishy, my chili dog was cold in the middle. I really feel as if they are paying people for reviews, because everyone I talk to say's it's terrible! It's closed down. But while it was open the food was so-so. They usually got at least one thing wrong in my order and their food was not us to the prices they were charging. I hope a much better restaurant moves in soon! read more

This was the first time I went to this restaurant, and I was really looking forward to it. I waited nearly 10 minutes at the speaker to order food no one asked me to wait or even acknowledge that I was waiting to order. I waited for so long I thought that maybe the speaker was broken. I called to ask if the speaker was working, no one answered. I pulled around to the pick up window so I could place my order, all along assuming the speaker must not be working. Sat at that window for almost another 10 minutes made eye contact with the woman behind the counter multiple times never once did she open the window to see what I needed. I left with out ordering and will never go back there again horrible customer service!!! I still do not know it the ordering speaker is/was broken. read more

Great highway diner, worth the stop for sure. So far everything I've had, has been great.

This is a dreary place with mediocre food. The owner lurks in the background sitting at a table with his laptop, not engaging with guests and not cleaning dirty tables when things are slow (they were slow when I was there). There was a new employee being half-heartedly trained at the counter where you order, and she was trying--but she was the only one trying. Everyone else seemed despondent and aloof. The menu is very similar to then other places in town that sell lowbrow fries and grilled American fare (e.g. The Patio down the street), but they don't do it as well, and you get less food for higher prices. The only thing I liked better here than the other places in town are the buns. These were buttery and soft, and they didn't flake apart dryly on top like they do at The Patio. But it wasn't enough to overcome the other issues. They advertise some BBQ options that could set them apart if they actually ran the BBQ. Instead, it sounds like they run it once in awhile and then just reheat what they made for as long as they can get away with it. read more

I gave this place two chances. They had been open for about three months. The first time I went there I was way too exhausted and way too hungry to try to fend for myself at home. In fact, that first time I ordered from them, I barely made it two blocks down the street and pulled over to eat because I simply couldn't wait anymore. You know that feeling you get when your stomach thinks your throat's been cut? Even a dry, stale cracker would taste like a filet mignon. So here's where it all falls apart: The first thing I need to mention is the drive-thru set-up. Somebody thought they were a building engineer and fooled the owners. It's not so much a 'drive-thru' as it is a bad joke. The speakers and menu are slammed right against the wall of the building. Simple, basic physics will tell you that you can't make a left turn straight off a wall without taking out the wall, the side of your vehicle and god knows what else. SO, every vehicle is forced to pull forward to clear the building, then BACK UP while cranking the hell out of the steering wheel to try to get into position behind the car in front of them without hitting anyone or anything in the process. Nothing about this was done correctly, it's a driver's nightmare, especially if the guy behind you has never been there before and doesn't cut you any slack during this maneuvering. The poor joker in a 4X4 behind me refused to even try it, came around me after ordering and then parked his truck in the ridiculously tiny lot provided and waited to be flagged for his order. This is NONSENSE for a place that calls itself a 'drive-thru'. So, be ready for THAT weirdness if you decide to brave the menu here. Well, it took care of the problem, this mushroom burger, but only in the way that it filled the hole. They DID follow my instructions of no mayo, but the thing is I've never been one to understand why anyone thinks mayo belongs anywhere near a burger anyway, because nothing will ruin it quicker. BUT... As I was driving home I realized that I had only found three small mushrooms in this thing... three. There was an ABUNDANCE of shredded lettuce, which everyone knows wilts in about 3 seconds when it's added to a hot sandwich. YUCK. And it struck me that the lack of meat and mushrooms was meant to be disguised by all the lettuce. I HATE that in a place! You just charged me $9 for a shredded lettuce sandwich, you turd. Yes, I was hungry again about 45 minutes later, and is it any wonder? If you want to call it a 'burger' and charge $9 for it, you need to let me taste some beef, guys. For those Yelpers that claim you get "a lot of food"... I don't know where you went, but it wasn't Station 49 Grill. You get a lot of LETTUCE. About two weeks later, I decided to give them a second chance. This time, I was hungry but not ravenous, so I could be a little more objective about the whole thing. I ordered a single burger and a small order of fries. The fries were good, I won't lie. Not the best I have ever had, but a decent fry experience. This 'meal' set me back about $11. I wish I had saved my money and eaten someplace where they understand what a burger should be. Thin, flavorless, LOADED with lettuce, not meat. That's it for me. I tried two different times, three different items and the only thing they got right was fried potatoes? Nah, buddy... thanks anyway. Bottom Line: Expensive for what you get, although you DO get a free upper-body workout trying to maneuver into position in the "drive thru" lane. Lettuce sandwiches with a hint of beef for $8-$9. Tolerable fries. Another Yelper seemed to think that some of the positive reviews for this place were created by family, friends or employees of Station 49. I think they may be right. Been a few times hoping they would pull it together . Not the case . Service is horrible food is a grade below horrible . This last visit I went I with good expectations and was very much let down to what ha become the trend with this place . It's says "drive thru " with big red arrows but it's always blocked off . There is not parking except along side of the hiway . Parking lot is always blocked off . Why ? I was waiting in line next to order and the lady at the register closed the window and they turned off the lights . CLOSED WITH CUSTOMERS IN LINE !! Will never recommend or return to this place . Our order was $59. What a waste. Got back to our shop with the food. Everything was wrong. One burger was missing the top bun. Really?!?!? The 5 orders of fries were cold and hard. All patties were dry and burnt. Left 2 voice mails and no return call. We have a business just down the street. We could have sent a lot of people down there. Not now. read more

The amount of food you get for the price is insane! This place is a god sent during COVID when cheap deliciousness is of upmost importance! Definitely going back and would absolutely recommend it to anyone in the area. The pictures on the menu don't do it justice so don't let that discourage you! read more

Great Burger Alert... Station 49 Grill 343 E. St. Charles St. San Andreas. Very good burgers, juicy and the topping are fresh. The kids love the chicken sandwich (#1 combo). I need to explore more but the Cowboy combo (#9) is my go to. Fries are fresh and hot. Cheese steak looks great and is on my to try list. Drive through and tables out front. Sad to leave this review considering we used to love this place but the service here was extremely slow. Took us about an hour to get our food. We had ordered 7 meals. When it finally came out, the Philly cheesesteak that we got, we asked for no Mayo and it had Mayo. We found a hair cooked into one of the burgers and the jalapeño poppers were cold. everything I ordered was wrong. The wrong burger came out, minus the cheese, ONE slice of bacon cut very thin on a flat patty, all swallowed up by a dense bun and with a bunch of stuff I specifically asked to keep off. The fish sandwich was disgusting, ended up throwing it out because the piece of fish was so small I essentially had a big, dense burger bun with tartar sauce on it. I'm not kidding, I'm not exaggerating. The filet-o-fish At McDonald's has this beat by a mile! A medium fries was a ridiculously small portion although the fries were good. Chocolate milkshake good. The worst part was that after tipping, this pile cost me over $30!!! $28.91 for this junk! That's what I had to pay for a very small order of fries and a shake because the rest was inedible! If I could give this place a 0 I would . Not only did they make us wait 40 + minutes for two burgers and a fry but we were the only customers there . . They let our food sit up front and didn't say that it was done for almost 15 minutes. Then we open it to see that they gave us exactly what we didn't order . Lady's in there are terrible and look like they are taking one to many dabs to function probably and move with the speed of a sloth . I would never go here again . read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Save your money and stomach!! Since day one the staff and food has been horrible. At first i thought it was just because it was a new business and finding people who work well together is hard. I gave this place chance after chance just for them to run their own names into the dirt further and further. The food smells great, tastes horrible. Ive ordered cheese fries that came cold. I've ordered their grilled chicken sandwich with no mayonnaise. the "chicken" breast looked like it had been out overnight and thrown into the deep fryer and fried, not grilled or even cooked on a flat top. This is bad because they could have messed up and accidentally started a fried chicken sandwich, right? nope, it was a naked chicken breast(like it should have been) but fried to dog treat jerky. Oh.... did i mention i asked for NO Mayo? they must have heard EXTRA....... btw. the cheese fries were ordered from the walk up window.... the chicken sandwich F**K up was in the drive-thru... Then I call in an order... DRY.... DRY means NO Condiments... comes smothered in all three........ When you bring to their attention what happened, they argue with you, refuse to let you speak to the manager, then, if you call, you can hear the manager in the background calling you a "fu**ing D**k" instead of trying to get on the phone and handle the problems this place has created. This is THE WORST PLACE IN SAN ANDREAS BY FAR. the ONLY good thing about this place is that they made The Patio step up their game. OH Yeah?? want a GREAT BURGER made right? and if there is a problem they RE MAKE it even if it can be fixed by throwing a slice of tomato, go to The Patio at the other end of town. I guess I should have looked at reviews before I came. Truly abysmal hamburger and they screwed up my order...what part of no dressing, no tomato and no fake cheese is difficult to understand. Ok, we decided to give this place a try, even though it had mixed reviews-hamburger hankering-SO glad we did! The burgers are big, juicy & when you ask for extra pickles, you get them!! Fries where large enough for 2 so we ordered 1 combo & 1 burger -splitting the fries which were real potatoes, not over salted and hot. The prices have changed (not what is pictured in yelp) but well worth it - $17 & change for 2 big burgers, fries & cokes....we will be making this our "go to" hamburger spot!
