    Mac & cheese bites
    Colleen R.

Was visiting a friend who lives in Valley Springs and he suggested this place. He is a frequent visitor it seems so when I looked at pictures and reviews I knew I was game to try this place. I love that they had outdoor seating for a nice day. Its a strip mall parking lot so the views are much to write home about but it was nice to have the option. Service was attentive and helpful. She made some suggestions and we ordered the deep friend mac and cheese because its not on the menu and was a special that day. They were soooo good! They have a variety of food options but since its a hot dog place I obviously had to order a hot dog. I ordered the Hawaiian dog. It was huge and pretty messy. It was pretty good but felt it could have used more pineapple or at least more ripe pineapple because I barely tasted it. I love food with sweet/savory combo's and I didn't get much of that here. They have a great selection of beers on tap though and are on untapped so that was nice.

What an awesome time today. 5 of us rode up here from Oakland for lunch today, while friends from Ione joined us. Called Stacy in advance, and she reserved a table for 10 . Jaron, I believe how to spell her name, was our waitress. She was a kick. Lot of laughs/fun with her. 4 of us had steak sandwiches, others hog dogs, and a few other sandwiches.Great fun all around. We will definitely be riding up there again. Thanks to Stacy, Jaron and stall for a fun time.

We stumbled across this place on accident (or maybe divine intervention) when my husband passed the Burger King we planned on stopping at for lunch. Ambiance is casual sports bar. We were impressed with Christy's great service and positive energy, delicious gourmet hot dogs, and their spectacular onion rings and chips. Even their garden salad with ranch dressing was memorable. We loved their freshly made onion rings (nothing frozen) fried in beer batter. The onions still had a little bite to them, not mushy like some places make them. They were perfectly fried but not greasy. Christy read my mind three times. Once, when she recommended the chips to my husband, since I ordered the fries, and the onion rings for the side to his second hot dog. I was just thinking we should try different sides before she recommended them. Second, she said she'd bring us jalapeño relish (aka sweet and fire sauce) to try. It normally comes with a burger, but she knew we'd love it. Just yesterday, that condiment was on my grocery list (to add to egg salad), but I never made it to the store. And I've never tried it before. What a strange coincidence! Third, she brought extra napkins before I asked. That's excellent service when they read your mind and think ahead lol. My husband couldn't decide, so he had the Extreme Dawg and the Chicago Dawg. Both were outstanding, but he favored the hot link in the Extreme, just because it was bigger. He still loved the Chicago dog with the relish and fresh toppings. I tried a bite of both, and they were eye-popping delicious. My Reuben sandwich was great too. I had half and got full off of the salad and sides. Christy was so funny and said that her name was Susie if we didn't like it there, but Christy, if we loved it. We loved everything, so kudos to Christy and the wonderful chef and owners running this place. We left right when hundreds of bikers were lined up outside. Turns out there was a poker run, and this was one of their stops. How fun! I told some of the bikers outside to order the onion rings lol.

My pup and I were camping nearby and didn't expect it to be so hot out. After setting up my campsite in extreme heat, I needed to find WiFi to finish some remote work. Initially I was headed to Starbucks, but when I got there, there was no patio. By chance, Hawg Dawgs had everything I needed! It was like an oasis when coming in from hot dry camping. Christy, our server, was so welcoming and kind. I explained my situation and felt like I was having a heatstroke when talking to her. She really made our visit there enjoyable. A huge thank you to her. She let us know they had WiFi and let us take our time on the patio. People I met here were all so friendly. We came back the next day for lunch. I had the garden salad it was chopped with red onions, tomatoes, and all around so good! I know it sounds crazy, it's just a side salad, but it's not just that. The thoughtful preparation of their veggies shows just how much they care about the quality and experience of your meal. It's not just a bagged salad thrown into a bowl. I also had the calamari fries and they were tender and delicious. I really enjoyed the food here. The service is outstanding. The WiFi is a bonus. Pets are welcome on the patio, great for this dog mom. We look forward to visiting again!

First time here, but won't be my last! The wings were my faaaav! Also, their ranch was so unique! Tasted like it had a little dill in it, which I very much liked! There is lots of seating, tables & bar seating. We were prompted to seat ourselves & quickly brought menus, they had a couple of craft beer on tap, so I ordered a Deschutes fresh squeezed IPA -- refreshing! The service was quick, friendly & attentive! Great spot in town!

Perfect heat, killer seasoning, and the kind of snap that makes you pause mid-bite and reevaluate your life choices (in a good way). The dog was stacked, the bun was on point, and nothing was sloppy -- just a perfectly built, no-nonsense, respect-the-meat hot dog. You can tell they actually care about what they're serving, not just tossing dogs at people. Huge shout-out for the veteran discount as well. That kind of appreciation always means a lot, and it absolutely did not go unnoticed. Great food, great people, great vibe. I'll be back... probably still sweating from the Cajun dog, and totally okay with that. Highly recommend.

Doc's Dawgs serves amazing hot dogs, Polish sausages and more, and over the last several years has gained a reputation among Sonora locals for serving the finest hot dogs in Tuolumne County. The hot dog restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 in the morning until 2:30 in the afternoon. It is a permanent operation, set up on the porch of Wico Farm Store, located in the Sonora Plaza Shopping Center, on Mono Way. The restaurant is located on the sidewalk in front of the store, protected from the elements and offers countless options when it comes to dressing out your dog. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a hot dog restaurant that offers such a wide array of condiments. Comfortable patio dining is also offered. Doc's Dogs menu offers hot dogs, hot links, nacho cheese, chips, chili, drinks and more. Some of the perks include $1.00 off for veterans, free hot dogs for veterans on Veterans Day, and if your beloved fur buddy is with you he or she will get a "doggie dog," on the house. These are traditions carried on from the previous owner. The chilled box includes all of the fresh condiments, including more mustard and sauces, sliced tomato, diced white onion, sauerkraut, dill pickle relish, sliced peperoncini and pickled, diced jalapeño peppers. Between the choices on the table and the chilled condiment box, you have countless choices to make your hot dog truly unique. In addition, there is a table that holds a wide array of salts, spices hot sauces, along with mustard, ketchup and barbecue sauce. I started at the top of the menu and went with a "Quarter Pound Dog," custom dressed out to my every dining whim. Doc's Dawgs uses quarter pound wieners from Miller's Dogs, manufactured in nearby Lodi. This large dog was everything a hot dog lover could ever ask for, as the quarter pound dog was grilled perfection, tender, juicy, complete with natural casing. The dog was seated on a large, fresh bun, which fit the dog perfectly and added to the goodness. Note that the "dog" in Doc's Dawgs isn't your garden variety supermarket hot dog, it's a true hot dog, complete with natural casing. From the chilled condiment selection I added mayonnaise, plain yellow mustard, dill pickle relish, chopped white onion, along with a touch of sourkraut. I didn't add any of the salts or hot sauce from the table, as by the time I was finished, my dog was fully dressed. My first bite rewarded me with a satisfying "snap," thanks to the natural casing of the Miller's Dog. Yes, this was the real deal, as the dog was natural, which always is the place to start when you want to enjoy a superior hot dog. The dog-to-bun ratio was spot-on, which is crucial for a superior hot dog. The condiments worked in tandem with the dog to provide a perfect taste sensation. The hot dog was simply delicious! Now I know why all "foodies" and hot dog lovers rave about the amazing hot dogs, served by Doc's Dawgs in Sonora! Sonora hot dog enthusiasts have it right, as simply stated, Doc's Dawgs serves the BEST hot dogs in Tuolumne County! The dogs are amazing, the condiments are nearly endless, the patio seating is comfortable, and friendly hot dog chef Renee will treat you like a rock star. When you're looking for an amazing hot dog and more, think of Doc's Dawgs, located in Sonora, CA. Truly Five Star dining!

Many of the choices carry a street-style Mex-American flavor along with some basics. For example they had some with hot Cheetos and sone with elotes, which is corn kernels off the cob. They say they are loaded hot dogs and yeah they are. I decided on the Messy Dog with onions, jalapeño, jack cheese, house sauce and carne asada, wow. As for fries, I played it safe with Chili Cheese Fries. This one came with nacho cheese so that was a plus for me. The Messy Dog was great, in fact I was offered a fork and I said yes, and luckily I made a good decision there, This came loaded, just as the picture showed, coming as advertised. When you see this thing, you may ask yourself, "Where is the hot dog?" It is there buried underneath by all the sauces, cheese and carne asada. By the time the hot dog shows up it was still hot and had a good crunch and texture to it, making it chewable and mouth-watery for me. The carne asada was chopped into tiny bits and brought another flavor and the onions had the right caramelization to back up the load, wonderful recommendation. The Chili Cheese Fries were seasoned well and maintained its crunch for some time. nacho cheese was melted and creamy enough to keep me from wanting to waste the boat. TBF, I was at a fair when I tried this place, so the prices were high, but fortunately there was a large amount of food served therefore it didn't come off as a waste of money ( around $15 to $20 , however the dogs and fries are sold separately, no combos or anything). Being in a fair it was the kind of environment expected at a county fair: Benches, canopies, hot weather and family entertainment. Yeah, I would try this place again wherever I may find them, Krèpe Dog. Loaded Dogs and Fries. Check me in.

I've come to the right place, as Doggiestyle Hot Dogs was on site, and serving hot dogs for all to enjoy. This is a pop-up restaurant that servers hot dogs at events all over western Placer County. I went with a "Quarter Pound Nathan Dog," How can you beat that for a great hot dog? The dog began with a quarter pound Nathan's Hot Dog, which was grilled to perfection by hot dog chef John, on site, at the Rocklin Brewfest. The dog was simply perfect, and fitted perfectly with the large, fresh bun, which was a start for an amazing lunch. On to the condiments! The trip to the nearby condiment bar was worthwhile, as I added a cornucopia of condiments, including mustard, mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, chopped white onion, sauerkraut and especially peperoncini, which is a rare treat for hot dogs. I suppose you could call my hot dog loaded? No ketchup whatsoever, as I never desecrate a hot dog by adding ketchup. Not to mention... may I say my dog was loaded with delicious condiments? One bite into the dog I was rewarded with a refreshing "snap," thanks to the natural casing on Nathan's Hot Dog, which made the hot dog both worthwhile and simply delicious. The condiments I added simply enhanced the dog, and didn't take anything away from the amazing hot dog, and the fresh bun. Such a delicious hot dog! Chef John knows how to grill a hot dog, and the Nathan's Hot Dog he grills are as good as it gets. I tip my cowboy hat to chef John, and his delicious hot dogs!
