Location was good. I would say that was the only positive. Rooms need serious upgrade. Very old. Paint was peeling off in the interior. A/C was louder than the train on the track. Mrs. had a headache the first couple of nights. This was a major inconvenience. Pool was not ventilated enough. If the rooms and appliances were to be upgraded, this could be a great hotel. Alas.

I recently spent two nights at Staybridge Suites. Because I booked the two nights separately, the first night cost about $90 before tax and second night cost about $100 before tax instead of being the same price. The location is great. It's not far from a large shopping area and right in between Interstate 94 and Interstate 294, which was convenient for me because of the easy access that provided driving down from Milwaukee initially and then back up from downtown Chicago. If it's something important to you, there's also a movie theater and children's museum nearby. I was pleasantly surprised by the room I stayed in. For what the room cost, I would never have expected to see amenities like a stovetop, oven, and full sized refrigerator. Most hotels only give you a mini fridge and, if you're lucky, and microwave. To have all of that, even though I didn't use it, was awesome. For a hotel bed it was one of the softest I've slept on, which I prefer and was happy with. The couch in the room was quite large and could have easily slept another person as well. The bathroom wasn't extravagant, but it got the job done. The only reason I'm giving Staybridge Suites a 4 out of 5 instead of higher is because breakfast begins serving at 6:30am instead of 6am, which I feel is more of the standard for hotels. Both days I had to be on my way before 6:30am so I had to waste an opportunity to enjoy the complementary breakfast and find my own elsewhere.

First time coming to this hotel. Me and my girlfriend came here for a weekend getaway recently and this place was mostly phenomenal. The prices were great, we had a studio suite. Our room had alot of nice features and things to check out. The whole space was big almost like you're typical studio apartment that's furnished with a couple of utensils, etc like you're going to be here for a while Everything from our stay was perfect room wise. The continental breakfast was also great. I loved how much food is provided to the breakfast compared to other hotels I've visited. The hotel is definitely beautiful. I sadly didn't go in the pool but I did check it out when I was walking around. Only things I thought was a bit negative was that even though I pre paid they still wanted a card on file to hold $20 for incidentals which I was told was refundable. They don't do paper receipts. The hotel has weird smells throughout part of the building especially throughout our way to the building. One part of it would Smell like Snoop Dogg would be around the area, other parts smelt like old moldy food and other parts smelt like rubber

Staying here now and it's absolutely filthy!!! Floors are sticking to my shoes, the tub fills with water and clogged when turned on, the toilet handle is broken, couch is broken, the bed is sunken in and trash, walls are dirty, room is extremely loud facing disgusting highway and im trapped because nothing better around. Staff friendly but no cleaning crew. Im sure my dog and i are getting bed bugs while typing this.

Living area w/sofa sleeper, TV & Dinning Table

This is a great hotel for families or couples traveling together. Our room consisted of two bedrooms/baths along with a living area complete with sofa sleeper, TV, dining table and kitchenette with 2-burner stove, microwave, dishware, cookware, utensils and small full sized refrigerator. One of my tests of a hotels cleanliness is to walk around in my white socks to see how long they stay white. I'm please to report this place must have new carpet throughout or they are super clean. Even after walking the common area hallways my socks stayed white. Our two bedroom corner unit overlooked a small courtyard. My wife and I stayed in the bedroom with a single queen bed while my sister-in-law and father-in-law stayed in the second bedroom with TWO full beds. Both rooms were decent in size and included their own TV's, bathrooms, closets and dressers plus extremely comfortable beds and pillows (which is one of THEE MOST IMPORTANT features of any hotel in my opinion). It was ideal accommodations for our short visit to the Windy City. The hotel has both an attractive exterior as well as interior. It includes an indoor pool, fitness center, laundry facilities and a very decent complimentary breakfast. The sausage gravy and biscuits were particularly delicious! Also included and always appreciated were a soda fountain as well as juice bar. FINAL THOUGHTS It was our first time booking a room, but we will definitely look to stay at this brand in the future. As one other yelper stated, this indeed may be my new favorite place to stay! 2019/92

They have full kitchens and great pizza places in the vicinity from which to order dinner.

This is my new favorite place to stay when I am just outside of Chicago! Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, full kitchenettes, THEY HAVE A POOL...indoor, and they constantly feed their guests. Free breakfast every morning and dinner social Monday-Wednesday. And a 24 hour fitness center. Good parking, safe place, and great shops and restaurants all over. We came in and made ourselves right at home. I got 8 solid hours of sleep, and I never get that in hotels.

Glib front desk- tell him the back entrance, that's supposed to be accessed only with guest card, open to anyone. His response, "fascinating." Never was secured/fixed, our entire stay there. Room had a mask, floss pick, on carpet, when we arrived. Made it clear planned to use sofa bed- had to go to front to get bedding. No cord on phone- let desk know- never fixed. Not impressed at all- never plan to stay there again. As filthy as is it outside, wouldn't trust to eat there.

Staying here each and every summer has been wonderful..the staff, especially Betty, Derek, and Chad are most helpful and accommodating. The room is spacious and facilities nice. It really is a good value for long term guests...as we are. On our most recent stay, august, 2019, we were disappointed. What happened here, Staybridge???? I am hoping some of our issues and and concerns will be addressed before our return next summer. An injection of $$$$ to update some facilities would be a good idea. The room looks tired..lol..check out the pix. The smelly, old couches need to be replaced, as with some of the chipped furniture, rooms could use a fresh coat of paint, and more attention needs to be carefully considered by your housekeeping staff when they clean each room. The room constantly had a smell which I had the housekeepers spray deodorizing liquid as did I with room deodorizers. The location is excellent as is the courteous and helpful staff. We stay yearly, so our hope is that these suggestions are taken into consideration. Perhaps management might consider looking into these reviews here to improve the quality. My interaction with management was most disappointing with poor excuses instead of solutions. Yet, even with all these comments, it has a great location, delish breakfast, and more importantly, exceptional staff such as Betty, Derek, and Chad.

Horrible hotel. Bad service. Smelled smoke in the room. Regret staying at Staybridge Suites when there are better options in the area.

Along with it being lower in cost for Hilton Honors members as I am currently a silver status member, I loved that it is located nearby a plethora of businesses and restaurants within Skokie itself. It was those things that won me over and led me into booking with Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago-North Shore/Skokie. My experience with the enthusiastic receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and giving me my room key. And for your information check-in starts at 3:00pm and ends at 12:00am! And check-out ends at 12:00pm! After locating and entering my room, I said to myself "This is gorgeous!" once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! Looking outside of the window, I had an overview of Old Orchard Rd, and Edens Expressway (I-94), which is accessible to Hampton Inn & Suites. Inside the shower, there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with its spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting the inside of my ear. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, a power adapter with USB and AC plugin, and several lamps which add a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn & Suites, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. And I must say that I was pleased to see the number of dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, trx straps, a decent selection of workout machines, and a peloton fitness bike which totally charmed me out of my panties once I spotted it. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served Monday-Friday from 6:30am - 10:00am, and Saturday-Sunday from 6:00am - 10:00am. If you are visiting Skokie, the Hampton Inn & Suites sits not only within an acceptable walking distance of a plethora of restaurants and businesses, but the Holocaust Museum, and Westfield Old Orchard, formerly Old Orchard Shopping Center. I would surely book with Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago-North Shore/Skokie again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in Skokie. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

May 18, 2026 - Glenview, Chicago…read more Unexpected delay due to a missed connecting flight at airport. Searched for a last-minute reasonably-priced hotel room near the airport, and chose this Marriott Courtyard hotel (about 20 minutes from the airport.) We like the Marriott hotels, and we weren't disappointed with our quick stay. We had been traveling all day, and arrived at the hotel hungry. Fortunately, their restaurant was still serving at 9:40 pm, and we were able to order a flatbread and a Caesar salad. The server was very friendly, and we appreciated her smile as it had been a very long day. The food was good, the service excellent, and the experience was appreciated by two tired travelers.

The refrigerator in your room does not stay on. You have to press the button inside that lets you refrigerate for two hour intervals. So if you wanna keep something cold overnight, it's impossible. 3. Housekeeping comes every other day, but in my case they did not. I had to request services when they neglected to clean my room after 3 1/2 days. Even then, they did not replace the paper cups for coffee, drinking glasses, bag for the ice bucket, etc. They only gave me two towels, which I questioned if they were really clean. I feel like they took the towels off the floor and folded them up and put them back on the bar. When you check in, you get three of each tile, but they won't replace it that way. 4. Front desk is inattentive and will not respond to questions. 5. I don't know if it's something they launder the linens in, but I developed a severe allergic reaction to the bed linens and required two visits to the ER. Something is not right with this. 6. The first full day there, there was a fire alarm for an issue with one of the elevators. 7. I accidentally left behind RX meds. Called right away. They refused to even look for them for 4 full days. And by then, nobody knew anything. 8. Points were not added to my Marriot account I can go on. But it was not really worth it.

One thing worth knowing: the hotel sits right next to the highway, so if your room faces that side, you'll hear some traffic noise, especially early in the morning. It didn't ruin the stay but light sleepers should request a quieter side. For the price and what's included, this place genuinely delivers. The bath products and towels were quite nice. Water pressure was good. Breakfast here is much better than the normal fare. As many pointed out the hotel is very dated and most of it is run down and beat up. The pool is rather small and even bit hard to even find, which is weird because why have a small pool thats not that easy to find in the first place? The surrounding area is like a forest and a nature preserve looking pond. People in our group saw all kinds of random forest animals when they went back there. Everyone at the front desk were nice and professional and genuinely sincere in helping me and my groups issues get resolved, except for the front desk manager. I forgot her name she is a Latina women with glasses. She was not as friendly and kind as the rest of her front desk team. She was by far the worst one working at the front desk by far. You had to wonder how the hell is she even the front desk manager??? She basically had me repeat all of the long list of issues that we had that the other front desk team members already were in the process of resolving for me causing me further nuisance. She basically did not believe what my story was for some reason and wanted me to prove to her that I was not lying. Like WTF? I was in town for business meetings why would I make up a BS story to try to bother the front desk in the first place? As a Gold HH you get like $18 a day credit so you can use that for food/beverage or the small convenience store behind the front desk. Most of the people in my group used the $18 on waters, oj bottles, chips, gum etc. So the $18 a day credit was pretty cool until like day 3 they ran out of stuff and did not restock anything until our trip was over. I saw others complain about cars getting broken into and car parts getting stolen in the parking lot, I fortunately did not have this problem or felt any concern/danger for that and the parking lot areas, but a few of the days some teenagers came over to hang out at the hotel and tried to swim and hang out in the lobby and other areas of the hotel. I'm not sure if they were actual hotel guests or just some teenagers trying to use the hotel as a hang out spot or what was going on? It would have been nice if security kicked those teenagers out for being loud and a nuisance but it seemed like there was no security really working at all from what I saw? Just a janitor/grounds keeper looking people who were gone once their shifts ended. The coolest part of my stay was probably my room as it had a larger deep soaking jacuzzi tub in it and the jets actually worked rather well like a real jacuzzi. I think had my room not have that I'd probably give this place only 1 or 2 stars then. I would not stay here again unless it was like a really good reason to like our meetings were actually happening in their banquet rooms or something.

We stay in the Chicagoland area frequently and enjoy exploring different neighborhoods and suburbs,…read moreso I was hoping this hotel's proximity to a nicer mall would be reflected in the overall experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The hotel feels dated, and the lobby had a musty smell upon arrival. Our room was fairly clean, but it was quite small, especially the bathroom. The biggest disappointment was the pool area. It appeared dirty and neglected. There was visible dirt at the bottom of the pool, and the outdoor area had cigarette butts and champagne bottle caps scattered around. The indoor section contained deflated pool floats. The condition of the pool area also raised concerns about overall maintenance. Seeing dirt in the pool and trash left around the deck made me question how closely other aspects of pool upkeep, such as water testing and chemical monitoring, are being managed. I also noticed a safety concern: the pool deck had been resurfaced, but in the process, the depth markings in the outdoor portion of the pool were covered up. The outdoor part of the pool is deeper than most hotel pools, which makes it even more concerning that the depth markers appeared to have been covered during resurfacing. Additionally, the door to the pool area was not locked. One smaller but frustrating issue was the room amenities. Our reservation was for four guests, yet the room was stocked with only three sets of towels. At check-in, we were also given only three cookies. If cookies are intended to be a welcome perk, it would be nice if every registered guest received one. Overall, while the room itself was reasonably clean, the dated facilities, neglected pool area, and lack of attention to details made this stay disappointing. We would not stay here again.
