I highly recommend seeing Jess K. for your next tattoo. I just had my latest ink done by her at Staytrue Tattoo Parlor and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I have wanted to get some new ink for a while and I've seen her creations on both my son and his girlfriend, so I knew she would do a great job. Jess does tattoos by appointment only at the shop. When I was there last week for my session, it was just the two of us present. The shop is spotless. First, Jess created a stencil of what I wanted, the one bamboo mahjong tile, which is a bird on a bamboo stick. It was a fairly small tattoo, so it didn't take long for the preparation of it. I had it placed on my left forearm and it only took about half an hour to complete once Jess started on it. Throughout the session, she made sure that I was as comfortable as could be and I don't think it was painful. First Time Here To StayTrue To Get My Tragus's Done. Not Upset With The Shop, Just Expressing My Experience. Giving Them 4 1/2 Stars. Mainly Because I Read So Many Great Reviews About Johnny Vegas, How He Pierces And Tattoos, But He Was Not There And Instead "Skateboarding"... (Granite Everyone Has Their Outside Life) Completely Understandable. The Piercer (Whom Didn't Introduce Himself) Seemed Irritable Because Of The "Friday 13th Special" And How Busy They Were Getting. When I Sat Down To Get Pierced, He Placed The Dots On My Ears And Didn't Let Me Check The Placements. (I Will In Fact Give Him 5 Stars Because It Wasn't Painful). Later, I Noticed That He Slightly Was Off From The Dotted Mark (Which Would Have Been PERFECT). After He Put On The Jewelry, He Didn't Even Clean My Ears That Had A Few Drops Of Blood Or The Dots He Marked. That's How I Knew He Was Slightly Off. So Now He Went Down To 3 Stars, As Far As Accuracy. Luckily, Even With My OCD... I'll Be Changing It To Studs After They Heal But The Hoops Look "Off" (Because The Hoop Rests Strait Up). My sister and I went in to get tattoos for our brother. We were bent on having only the owner do our tattoos based on a recommendation but he was off. Ended up meeting JohnnyVegas and he assured us he was more than willing to help out. He sketched everything out exactly how I wanted it and made some suggestions to make sure it looked exactly how I wanted. He was able to copy the entire font of my brothers tattoo based on one picture with only a few letters visible. Yes, they were small and simple tattoos but he has some amazing work. And they were beautiful. But it was just as much about how we were made to feel while we were there. Johnny let us play my brothers favorite songs.. It's about time I give props where props are due. I walked into Staytrue on the recommendation of a friend to see Jason Murphy. Yeah, I was that guy with a few "tribal" ideas on my arm and shoulder. Flash forward four months and several sessions later and I have an armful of tattoos done by Jason Murphy. It's all Japanese in nature but the detail and use of color is EXACTLY what I asked for and more. I receive compliments daily, some going as far as doubting I had the work done in Las Vegas as there are no artist "that" talented in the valley. I'm far from your stereotypical tattoo wearing fella so it's a huge testament to Jason's ability, my trust in him, and my comfort level to extend down my arm completely.
