Once on the property, we went into the building that houses the wine making apparatus, part of which is now the tasting room. We tried seven different offerings including Elderberry, Blackberry, plum and the Jalapeño. Today, 30 October, will be the opening of their new tasting room, a pre-Civil War building that served as a manufacturing area for Union troop boots during the Civil War. The outside is still historically accurate but the inside is completely rebuilt in a post and beam motif. The place also has its own mascot, a beautiful half Cairns and half Jack Russell dog that is the friendliest dog ever.
