Went on Saturday for lunch. Located in the city center of Leitchfield. No lunch specials are offered on the weekends. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Food was pretty good. Had pizzas and salads. Took a while for a table of 8 to get the food after ordering. Staff said they had returned to the original owners. Their menu had a lot of items that they didn't have. Be interested to return for dinner and steak.

We ordered takeout from here on a Wednesday evening at 4 when they reopen for dinner (they are open from 11-2pm and 4 - 9pm). The hostess who took our order was pleasant, and the employees we interacted with while waiting for our order were very nice and sociable. Food was ready in roughly the 20 minutes they predicted, so all-in-service was pleasant and prompt. We ordered the Cajun chicken & shrimp pasta (which my wife really enjoyed), the Mozz appetizer (which we both thought was awesome), and the American Bison (which I thought had a great flavor (and definitely recommend), although I ordered it medium-well and it was cooked well-done. I definitely recommend ordering it at a lower temp to maximize the flavor profile. Being a visitor on vacation, I never ate here before and in my experience, getting a steak actually cooked medium is not a given. So I err on the side of caution with unknown restaurants, which worked against me in this case.) I also ordered Brussel sprouts but didn't receive them with my order. They did however provide a lot of fries (they include 2 sides with steak entrees) so I wasn't as disappointed as I would have been otherwise.

First time dining here and S&S did not disappoint in any aspect. Excellent food and service along with a casual atmosphere. They have a nice selection of bourbons at good prices on each pour as well as some very crafty house made cocktails. Our food was excellent...I should note we were part of a large group, all ordering steaks and all were well seasoned and cooked perfectly to order....highly recommend topping them with chefs butter!! Our waitress Emma was super friendly and took excellent care of our party. We will definitely join S&S again for dinner when we're back in town!

A trip to Leitchfield downtown across from the old courthouse the Steak and Stone restaurant is a repeat but it was great again. They serve lunch from 11 am to 2:00 pm Central time which is noon 'till 3:00 our time. That late lunch for us works well for us for health reasons. They offer a very reasonable price of $11.99 for 9 choices that include a one side. Last time I got fried catfish and Karen got cod, both very good. This time we both ordered a baked fettuccine with chicken and cheese sauce that came in a personal size cast iron skillet. It was sooo delicious! We also got a side salad and roll. They also make their own salad dressings which are delicious as well.

Celebrating a birthday . Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent. It's an old hotel so that was kinda cool .

My husband and I visited for our anniversary. Nice atmosphere, old building with exposed brick. Great service! Our waitress went above and beyond even asked if we were celebrating an occasion and offered us complimentary dessert. The "mozz" appetizer was delicious and the ribeye steaks were great! I also liked the s&s salad with their house dressing. We stayed in the Alexander Hotel just above the restaurant for the night! Highly recommend it also! Went back for lunch the next day. Their chicken tenders were good, but their Psycho Philly was delicious and HUGE! Very reasonably priced for lunch!

Ask the Community - Steak & Stone

    Are there vegetarian options?

Possibly. They do have pizzas on their menu and probably could do a "veggie" pizza without problems. As to other items, I don't know. After all, it is a steak and pizza place.

Sunday, 18 January 2026…read more Met friends at J.R. Neighbors for lunch. According to my friend, the have the best burgers in Etown! ‍ There are a few parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant (maybe 5, with 2-3 slots being reserved for handicap). There are nearby parking lots with plenty more parking. As it was a Sunday, we had no trouble finding parking. There were a few people ahead of us, maybe three different parties. My partner and I did not have to wait to be seated since the friends we were meeting had already arrived and got a table. We greeted our friends then reviewed the menu. Since it was around 12ish on a Sunday, only the brunch menu was available. Not long after, our waitress arrived to take drink orders. Shortly after that, and after the drinks arrived - pineapple mimosas, apple juice, and water, we ordered our food...mostly everyone had a burger. I had the Texan burger/sandwich which came on a Texas toast, hence the name, and my partner had the Newberry Smash burger (double). Each came with a choice of "regular" fries or tots. I wanted sweet potato fries, but again, since it was Sunday, only the brunch menu and what was displayed was available. So, I settled for regular fries. My burger was good albeit a bit messy with the sunny side egg running everywhere! The bacon topping the burger was perfectly done with the right crispy/crunchy consistency. My mimosas was refreshing except I did not get much of a pineapple taste. The fries were fresh and appropriately seasoned, not too salty and not too bland, just right. We were all full from our meals so we did not even consider dessert! The restaurant was busy but not overly crowded, so the atmosphere was quite. We sat by the windows and were not even distracted by the outside vehicles passing by. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would recommend J.R. Neighbors to anyone looking for good burgers in a good atmosphere in Etown.

100% would recommend this restaurant!!!!…read more we arrived right at 5pm when they open back up for the day. firstly the atmosphere and customer service is top tier. everyone is super attentive and welcoming. we started off with mixed drinks, with a very wide selection, each drink we tried was perfectly mixed and balanced. we definitely would recommend the french martini and vette city. as for appetizers, we tried the fried pickles and jalapeños. the batter was light but crunchy and flavorful and the house made ranch paired perfectly with them. main courses i would 1000% recommend the chicken rosa. such a delicious dish with a creamy mash potatoes side and perfectly seasoned and sautéed fresh vegetable side. the lemon caper sauce paired with the chicken was stunning. chicken was cooked perfectly and still very juicy. the basil pasta dish was al dente with a rich, herby, and creamy sauce. the crème brûlée was the most delicious dessert to end the meal with a perfectly crunchy sugar top not too charred and the crème part was flavored very nicely with a good vanilla taste. 5/5 WOULD RECOMMEND

We sat at the bar next to a few other folks, the bartender asked us if we knew what we would like. I asked for a menu, she said she didn't have them out right now and would come back to take our order. The bartender returned and my partner explained that we weren't sure what we wanted to order, that it was our first time in and asked if there was a menu we could view. The bartender responded with, ''no menus, it's easier that way''. I was taken back by not only the comment, but the tone of her voice (clearly not happy with our request). I turned to my boyfriend and said, let's go somewhere else! The speakeasy wasn't crowded, but, was part of the Elizabethtown St. Patrick's Day bar crawl. I don't believe that should have any effect on the regular menu or quality of service. We were disappointed with our experience (lack of) especially on such a special day. We skipped down the road to Bourbon Barrel Tavern and received excellent service and tasty cocktails.
