We were looking for a dinner spot near the ice cream shop planned for after dinner and Gerard's 1907 looked promising by their online menu. Street parking was easily found and we were greeted & seated immediately upon our arrival. Our server was friendly and very attentive from start to finish. The inside decor was urban & laid back, offering high top seating, tables and bar seating. Sports were being playing on the tv's around the bar & dining space. I opted for one of my favorites, beef stroganoff. Food arrived hot, within a reasonable time and presentation was perfect. I didn't read the menu closely enough so I didn't realize potatoes were served in lieu of the usual egg noodles. The potatoes were good though and the beef was tender. I would've hoped for more mushrooms, as the dish seemed to have less than one small mushroom in total (sliced thinly) but I enjoyed the amount of red onions in the dish. Overall, everyone in our group was satisfied with the food and experience here. I would be trying another dish next time though.

We enjoy eating at Gerard's. Mostly the food but a lot due to the atmosphere. Our waiter was over the top great! Go with the plan to spend time enjoying your food. Spend some time selecting your meal. Talk to the staff about your selection. It's a great place to eat.

We were looking on Yelp for a highly rated lunch spot and almost chose a couple other places nearby, but decided to stop here after checking out the menu. We're glad we did. The service, food, and prices were all excellent. The hostess and wait staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We had the Wienerschnitzel and it was outstanding, and the sauerkraut was some of the best we've ever had. You really can't go wrong with this great place in Bowling Green.

I normally don't write reviews. So let me just say the salmon is so good it moved me write this review. The lemon caper sauce will surprise you and vegetables that come with it complement the dish well. The basil pesto needs a breadstick with it, but also has fantastic flavor and quality to the ingredients. The music is also kept at a nice quiet volume as compared to most restaurants.

Our group stopped here for a Tuesday lunch during a visit to Bowling Green. Service was fantastic and the restaurant was very comfortable and inviting. Several of us ordered the special of the day -- bacon cheeseburger with choice of side (sweet potato fries for me) -- and were all satisfied and pleased. Would love to visit again in the future when in this neck of the woods.

What a great place! Food was fantastic! Had great service too. We were seated at the bar and had full service. Nicely restored building with a few outside tables. Located in the center of a quaint downtown. our number one place to eat in town. You gotta try this place!

We arrived just in time without reservations. They seated us quickly and the place began to fill up. Most folks knew to get reservations. The line was out the door when we left. The food was delicious and a good selection of local beers on tap. The Hostess stopped to talk with us and told us more about their locally sourced ingredients. They also had some tempting specials on the board. This was a great dining experience in a casual atmosphere.

Hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. First, we came here on New Year's Eve, the staff was impeccable, kind, and in great spirits. They were closing in about an hour and did not shoo us away. Our waitress, I wish I recalled her name, was hilarious - she got our sarcastic jokes and kept advising how she loved our family dynamic (we are a bunch of kooks). So many options to choose from, they change their menu out a lot because a few items/pictures I saw were no longer there - which is fine. I love it when restaurants are constantly swapping out items! I got the Fig & Brie Burger, and wow, just wooooow. The cheese was gooey and thick, the Mediterranean fig spread and the perfect amount to have that sweet and savory, and the jalapenos added a perfect pinch, not spicy, but just made my mouth dance! I suggest the sweet potato fries too! My husband got the Nashville Hot sandwich, which was a thick piece of chicken, juicy, and the colesaw had a perfect crunch. Drinks: I got a seasonal old fashion I believe with vanilla and then a seasonal gin with bubbles, both outstanding. You know this place has a bunch of chefs because my brother-in-law changed on of the sauces on his burger and our waitress came out and wanted to double check because the "chef advises it would change the flavors/texture, etc." ... that's when you know you're at the right place! lol

Our favorite restaurant in Bowling Green. Great cocktails and amazing food. We've tried everything on the menu and nothing disappoints.

This Classy Venue, Sets A New Tone.. Pleasantly Kicked Out of Our Comfort Zone:…read more What a Gorgeous Night to be out & about, with Beau, on the night before the Full Moon, during Derby Week, in Bowling Green. We'd never been here before, thus, we were new to this scene! Even stepping in seemed an experience, following behind two ladies, donned in Derby Hats, & their two dapper gentlemen, who smiled, held open the door, & graciously waved us in!! Then, at a long table we happily joined, our extended, car fanatic family. Thus, the festivities began, as our evening flowed pleasantly.. What We Found : Service: Friendly & Attentive.. Our iced tea was refilled & our tables kept clean. And our server, steered us in the right direction, in recommending the Surf & Turf dinner, which was Delightful.. Ambiance: Lofty & Modern Aesthetic, with Rustic Elements. (But still too modern, for our liking). Nearby, seemed a nicer table: with a wooden tent like canopy, situated near a great hearth.. Food: Generous portions of entrees & sides. The hearty sides, are served family style. We ordered: Bacon Cornbread; Mac & Cheese; Roasted Brussel Sprouts; Roasted Mushrooms; & Truffle Fries. These Tasted Divine... Especially the bacon cornbread, served with a dollop of brown butter, which disappeared in no time!! Whilst our Surf & Turf Dinner, of: Shrimp & Beef, served on skewers, atop a bed of Fried Rice, Kicked Us Out of Our Comfort Zone. This was quite unlike the country cuisine of Bowling Green, for so long known!! And, the horseradish sauce, served alongside, seemed rich & robust!! Indeed, the menu seemed to convey the chef's creative touch!! However, our friend beside us, bemoaned that his elk steak dinner, was mostly burnt!! To the staff, not saying a word!! Moreover, Beau found his Strawberry Shortcake, a tad too dry. But from Beau's pretty dessert, to the Almond Cake, ordered at the table--all seemed a pastry feast for the eyes!! Overall: We Found This Classy Venue, A Welcome Change From The Familiar..Hearty Southern Fare, Fine Tuned With A Touch Of The Exotic!! So Happy To Say: We Loved It !!
