You order online and they bring the food to your car. You get a free large drink with your entree. I requested medium steak because I read a review where the steak was cooked too long. I purchased $37 worth of food my T-Bone steak was not hot. I asked for medium rare and it was really rare not to my liking. The rolls cold and my baked potato not hot at all. Only thing I thought looked good was the salad. I put the food in the microwave because I'm on a schedule for eating meals. Just finished a fantastic meal tonight at Steak Out. Despite being crazy busy on New Year's Eve, service and food were great. They had a more limited menu but it still included Prime Rib, steaks, lobster and shrimp. Meals included salad or French onion soup, choice of potato or veggies, bread and a relish tray. OMGOODNESS I haven't seen one of these in years! We were driving to see The Way of lights Christmas display and saw this little to go place Glowing in the night! I had to make a Uturn and go back! The parking lot was packed! Takeaway only. You call and place your order and an employee comes out quickly to follow up and take card or cash. The wait wasn't bad for a couple steak sandwiches, I use to get the baked potato but since we were eating in the car, I kept it quick with chips but in hindsight wish I'd ordered the baked potato as my side. The chips that accompanied the sandwich almost cost them a star! It's one of those gas station 2 bags for a $1 size!! I mean come on folks, this isn't going in an elementary school lunch bag! Hummm maybe it should cost them a star!! Maybe partner with a local chip company...something! Steak sandwich was seasoned very nicely, tender, juicy and the bun was toasted. Great takeaway sandwich. Sadly I am forced to reduce my review Specifically of this Steak Out Location. Don't get me wrong, I like the Steak Out Concept, decent quality food/steaks to go, which is especially a great idea if you've been working around the house all day and don't feel like cooking/grilling because you had a long week at work! The rub? After decades (not years, decades!) of ordering the same thing Most of the time, The ribeye steak sandwich this location eliminated it from their menu... when I initially Asked they advised cost was a concern, and given pandemic etc I said Ok.... but didn't order nearly as often. So today I look at the menu.. you guessed it, long work week, doing house & yard work, maybe a Steak Out Sandwich a little later..... NOPE Still off the menu.... SO I look at the menu for ***EVERY OTHER STEAK OUT ON THE COMPANY WEBSITE and Oh Look They ALL have The Ribeye Steak Sandwich!! What the heck? So here is my suggestion to this franchise owner raise the price a bit, whatever, Be Like ALL of your Fellow Steak Out Stores and bring back the Ribeye Steak Sandwich (which I have been ordering since way back in the early 1990s!) I ordered from here tonight. We have these in the South so the menus are similar. However, in the South, one of the best things about Steak-Out (to me and many others) is the big cup of sweet tea you get with your order. Well, they ran out of sweet tea tonight. I've been eating at Steak-Outs for many years and I have never not had a sweet tea with my order. Never! I settled on a Sprite. Maybe it's petty, but running out of sweet tea is just unacceptable and kind of ticks me off. The food was decent, but not having my sweet tea really threw things off for me so 3 stars is all I can give them. read more

I was working on site over the summer when one of guys walked in with food from Steak Out. Five months later, I finally tried it for myself. This is not a dine in restaurant; carry out and delivery only. Better to call your order in, order online or use the app to order ahead vs ordering on site. Unless you have sometime to wait. Steak out offers lunch specials daily until 3pm. This is definitely not a place for you if you don't like meat. Meat is everywhere except the desserts. With every pickup order you also receive a free beverage. First visit, I ordered steak sandwich with grill onions and New York strip with mash potatoes and macaroni. The steaks were cooked perfectly, mash potatoes were surprisingly delicious, however the macaroni wasn't good. The prices are a little higher then I expected but well worth the cost. I have been ordering meals from here to be delivered to my Dad (I live out of state). He really enjoys it! I do wish the prices were a little better, considering it is an all takeout place. With the add-ons, it can get pricey. I do appreciate that the delivery charge isn't bad. read more

Just ordered for lunch. I love the seasoning. Ordered a 6 oz ribeye sandwich with grilled onions on the side. The flavor & quality are soooo much better than our local chain steak joints (outback, longhorn, texas roadhouse). Price is right along with Panera bread ($10-12) except this lunch will keep you full until dinner. read more

Called in an order for next night and for a certain time. The phone lady was nice and very helpful. She also made sure what I wanted was in stock and set aside so they had it. On 6/2/18 at 9:28PM my friend and I show up and the door is locked and clearly on the door it states the business closes at 10PM Monday - Saturday. We are greeted by a lock door, and an employee comes to the door and says, the restaurant closes and 9:30PM but delivery closes at 10PM. I then ask so I'm here to order "to go" versus ordering on the phone and she says I would need to order delivery to get food and as we are talking a delivery driver that overheard our conversations states "rules are rules" and walk in the delivery entrance and slams the door. In my opinion a service food delivery business that states online and posted on their door should not tweak business hours to benefit employees on a Saturday night. I will not frequent their business again and I don't recommend you do either. read more

On Saturday, 09-16-2017 I ordered Steak Out...and again was sadly disappointed. The steak was fine, but the potato was old and not fresh and fluffy. (Have you ever had an old baked potato? Not good. ) The salad was not fresh and crispy, it was old with brown edges. Your prices are a little high, but I don't mind paying for good quality food.. But Steak Out Swansea please step up and put out quality sides. I have ordered the mashed potatoes before and they were watery and had no flavor. The mac n cheese was bland and gross. Not terrible, just not good. Steak was pretty skinny cut, ordered medium, came super well-done (roadkill), and was over-seasoned, albeit acceptable. Potato (baked) was standard fare and pretty hard to screw up. Salad was not fresh, and mostly-all iceberg, with a sad little bit of tomato. I Live 3 blocks down the street. They said delivery would be 30-40 minutes. I went outside and sat on my porch with the porch light on. The driver pulled up in front of my house and sat there for over 5 minutes. I finally walked out to the street to see who was sitting in front of my house, he threw some papers in the back seat and drove away. A couple of seconds later the store called me and said he could not find my house. Really? They said they would call him and send him back. I live 3 blocks away. 20 minutes later no driver an no call from Shelby who was the person who answered the phone at the office. They need an adult working there and not a bunch of kids.
