UPDATED REVIEW This company has truly earned my respect and loyalty. I initially used them about 7 months ago and had a phenomenal experience. They made the carpet in our old 2-bedroom condo look brand new. My next experience wasn't the greatest. We had a minor issue with the Tech that came out and when we talked to the office manager, Linda, her attitude wasn't any better. BUT, here's what's amazing. When Gina found out about it she was relentless in trying to make things right. When she wasn't able to reach me, she passed the baton to JC their new Ops Manager that replaced Linda. This guy personally came out to our condo and deep-cleaned our carpets and upholstery as a gesture to make up for our previous experience. When he got done the carpets looked amazing. My mom has used them several times and when Alex was there it was amazing. The last 2 times TERRIBLE!! The last time they used too much water, our carpets were soaked and crunchy when they finally dried (several days later). My furniture was ruined-now I have dark stains throughout and 1 has a rip. When I called to speak to the owner I was insulted and can NOT believe he would talk to a customer in that mannor-wow! Shame on you Steve! After a few scheduling bumps, the owner got on the phone with me and really handled the situation well. He supported his remedy and the carpet couldn't look better. I rent and the carpet really needs to be replaced, however, I have two dogs so I can't be too pushy about it. The smell was bad though, old and dirty. I hired Steam Pro because they offered a restorative type of cleaning for people in my situation. It cost more but let me tell you, the carpets look great and my apartment is smelling fresh again. The tech who came out to my place was courteous and explained the treatment etc. He even helped me move my couch and loveseat so all the area could be cleaned. Honest and responsible ownership. Multiple problems during the visit. I asked if the quoted price would include pet treatment.. it did not.. I had asked for a fast drying clean.. technician told me 2 hours carpet would be dry.. more like 48 hours.. while some cleanup was effective, I was disappointed. Also a visit that should have taken two hours took close to six because the pump on the truck broke down.. technician told me that the company does a poor job maintaining their trucks. Yes, I've used carpet cleaners since moving here in the 90's... but for the last decade,my "Go To" has been Steam Pro. I use them for my personal home as well as rentals. Truck-mounted is a must, but their water is heated to a minimum of 232 degrees , and the work has always been impeccable. (Recently, they even did a "deep clean" on my rental, (a berber), and the difference was unbelievable. Like new! Joe I. rocks- a real pro, with decades of experience; he really knows his stuff. My experience with steam pro was a nightmare. The only positive thing i have to saw was they did call me back quickly and were able to come out and get started within a decent time frame (2 days).even though they charged me $125 for and "emergency fee" Then i was given a quote for the work (water got into my basement and soaked the carpet) as it turns out when they came back to finish the job the original quote didnt include actually relaying my carpet?!?! Talked to management and they did final agree to finish the job at the agreed upon price. Took them 3 more days to get back out here and then they were late. Which would not be a big deal if someone would call and let the customer know that. Would not reccommend them. read more

Steven came to clean our carpets and was terribly rude. His demeanor was rude and unprofessional and he seemed bothered when I asked to redo a small spot in the dining room. He was on his phone often and I even stopped him from "accidentally " respraying the water that was clearly dirty on my carpet. To top this all off he then flipped me off at the end of his cleaning in ASL not knowing I am an ASL teacher for 1st graders. Perhaps he thinks this behavior is cute. I was not amused. The job was done well but based on the rudeness of this tech I would never recommend this company. So I am leaving a one star review. My husband payed for this service and now I wish we had not. read more

The first time I used this service it was outstanding. This last time was unsatisfactory. I do believe it was the technician. He was not friendly and finished quick. No show Steam Pro. I'd love to write a review of their work but that would require them to show up and do some. Steam Pro blew us off twice this weekend. On Friday afternoon it was the no call no show. We called and got no explanation why, but they could reschedule us for the same 2-4 pm window on Saturday. The furniture had been moved into the kitchen and bathroom, so we took what we could get. Needless to say, we were wildly irritated with them when no one had showed up by 4 on Saturday. This was terrible. I have a room that had been soiled repeatedly by pets. I also have fabric loveseats in same room that were to be cleaned. Received a flyer in the mail and since it claimed they are pet specialists, I had them come out and give me an estimate. I was told they could remove the odor with their special solution that turns the urine to gel. JC spend a lot of time in the room with some kind of cleaning machine that I now know is a bonnet cleaner. The carpet looked great afterwards. I was told we could use the room in 12 hours. First problem was the carpet was wet for 3 days. When I read about bonnet cleaners afterwards, the information I found says that it only cleans the top of the carpet, not deep cleaning, and drys faster than steam cleaning because of how little water is used. So why 3 days to dry?These were days the temperature was high 80's. Was not running the air conditioner. Second there were no pads put under the loveseats that have wood legs. The cleaning was done on a Wednesday and on Saturday the urine smell was so strong I called and complained. JC came back out on Monday to spray with neutralizer. Smelled fine for 3 days now the smell is back stronger than ever. When he came to spray I asked how could there be a smell if all the urine was removed. Was told it was off gassing. I also had a glider cleaned that has stripes where it was cleaned, clearly shown in pictures. The arm rests don't look like they were even addressed. I was charged $75 for this chair. I thought the stripes I saw after cleaning were areas that weren't yet dry. Read your estimate carefully. They have a 3 day window for complaining. read more

This was the best carpet cleaning experience that I've ever had. Jarred arrived on time, went over all my requested cleaning items, gave me an estimate of how long it would take to complete and then went right to work. He removed the vent covers to clean the carpet under them and even wiped off the base boards. It took a bit longer than originally anticipated, but I think that was because he was so thorough. 9/04/14 update: The painter finished fixing the damaged walls today. He did a great job. Unfortunately, I'll still avoid steam pro in the future. Best to do things right without damage the first time. 8/28/15 update: After emailing my complaint to Steam Pro, they called me to rectify the problem. They sent a supervisor to check if my duct system had been cleaned properly, which he said it looked good, and they will be sending out a painter to fix the damage to the wall. I'll update again after/when the damage is fixed. Dear Steam Pro, Your technician Tyler came the morning of Aug 24th to clean the air ducts in our house. He did an okay job, except for ripping/peeling off an unsightly amount of paint above one of the air vents. It was the first vent that he dismantled, so apparently he wasn't expecting that to happen. He gave a blustered apology and then continued to clean the other ducts, but this time he used a box cutter to score the paint around the vent before he pulled it off the wall, thus avoiding any more paint rippage and peeling. He seemed to be working too quickly, as one of the air vents upstairs also had a slight rip in the paint. When I went to clean up and patch the damage, I took my own box cutter to cut away the flapping paint, and I made a much cleaner line than Tyler made on all the other air vents. I would suggest you train your technicians to be more careful the first time, especially if the first vent they are opening is in the living room, which is one of the worst places in the house to have an eye-sore. I'm also disappointed that I had to ask about what happened, instead of him coming to me to show me the damage, to apologize, and to tell me what he would do so that the same damage would not occur to the other vents. What if the same thing happened to the second vent? I would definitely have asked him to stop, leave, and your company would not have received any payment, just a bill for the damage done. Also, when he finished the job and asked for my credit card, I was surprised that he didn't automatically give a discount for the damage that he had done to the wall. Instead, I requested a discount, and he told me to call the office for one later. I insisted that he call himself and request it for me. The lady he spoke to gave a 5% discount, which ended up being $12.00, less than the cost for one additional vent cleaning. Depending on how repairing the damage to the living room wall is, I may be calling back for an increased discount. I'm disappointed that Tyler seemed to think the damage wasn't a big deal and that it would be up to me to repair it. read more

We had these guys come out to our new house (not a "new" house, however) to do the ducts, tile, and carpets. William was there, and saw that all the carpets needed to be stretched. Even though it meant not only a really long day for him, and having to pull other people once they were done with their routes, Steam Pro took the extra time to stretch out the carpets, then clean everything. The carpets look brand new, and the ducts are spotless, as is the tile. They did the job the right way, instead of the fast way. I contacted Steam Pro to clean carpets in a couple of rooms and to clean our air ducts. The lady I scheduled with was very nice and gave me several options for appointment times. Like most services providers, they gave me a two hour window. On the day of my appointment I got a phone call near the end of the time frame and was told that they were on their way but would be a few minutes late. I very much appreciated the call and the gentlemen who arrived were a little bit late but not more than 10 minutes so it really wasn't a big deal. They talked to me about the options for cleaning the carpet (the basic clean or deep clean, have stain guard reapplied.) They located the vents and asked if I wanted to add the dryer vent. They were really nice and seemed very knowledgeable about the carpet and duct cleaning and I did not feel pressured into any of the additional services. About the time they were getting started a third gentleman arrived (turns out he was the one who was assigned to do my cleaning but he got caught up on another job. I was very impressed that the first two guys came to start the work and help him out (and not leave me hanging!) and not leave him to figure it out on his own.) With the three of them working together they had the vents and carpet done in no time and everything looked great. So even though they started a bit later than I had hoped they were finished much sooner since they all worked together. After a few hours I looked at the carpet and panicked because there were what appeared to be waves in the carpet. I called and spoke to someone who told me that it was not uncommon and that once the carpet was dry it would flatten out. I was VERY skeptical, but in the morning it was better, but I still was concerned about the waves since I had been told the carpet should be dry in six hours or so. I called again and talked to a wonderful lady who reiterated that once the carpet was completely dry it should be flat but also assured me that if it wasn't they would come out that day and take care of it. She told me that she would call back that afternoon and see how things were and we could go from there. The great news is that she actually did call back and better yet I should have trusted them from the beginning because the carpet did flatten back out. The drying time ended up being longer than I had been told, but again not a big deal. The carpet looks so great I don't mind that it took about 24 hours to completely dry. Everyone I talked to on the phone and the three men who came to my house were so pleasant and kind and attentive that this was truly a great experience. I would use this company again without hesitation and recommend it to any of my friends. read more

Different quote on the phone than what the service pro wanted to charge once he arrived (a room and stairs), different explanation on the phone regarding the service pros ability to move furniture (doesn't) and when I offered to move the furniture myself so they could clean the missed spots, I was told there would be a charge for them to come back in to complete that work. It was nice to not have a huge up sale or a 10-15 minute negotiation prior to getting started. The girl who answered the phone when I called back was super nice. I just had Steam Pro clean my carpets. The phone operator was nice and accomodating to me. They had openings within a couple days of when I called and were professionally courteous. The technician Alex who came out did a really nice job on my carpets. I have older carpets, had a dog once upon a time ago and now have a cat. The carpet looked it. Alex did a great job, was very professional, arrived on time and was accomodating. He even got an oily, dirty spot out near my door that I thought there was no way would ever come out...it was bad, bad...and it came out. You wouldn't even know it was there looking at it now.
