Dropping a star off. Not because of the food. They have a unique menu (especially since re-opening) that is more cafe-like than a drive thru place. And it's all super fresh and tasty. Portions are generous. My dropping a star is due to price. It can be surprisingly high for a drive thru. I recently had a wrap and a 12oz pepsi. With 15% tip, $22. Another time, I had a daily special wrap and small fries - $19 before tip. For a wrap?? I know there are now forced minimum wage levels and also supply chain issues. But these two items (at least) will be the death of nice one-off places like Steamboat Greens I'm afraid. In my own case, the prices will limit my visits. read more

Excellent and I don't write "gushy" reviews. Menu items include Xhins Eggrolls ( a local delicacy) burgers of various kinds ( my fav is mushroom bacon burger) fish tacos, BLT , grilled cheese trio on sourdough, grilled chicken Blu Salad / grilled chicken Caesar wraps. it's all home made. Home made soups daily ( clam chowder is my fav) Milk shakes , Italian sodas. This place is a drive thru marvel, my dog likes the free treats. Amazing place! read more

I know the Steamboat Island Road neighborhood loves this place like it's the birthplace of a rock star, but the food we have tried just isn't very good. Not terrible, not inedible, just not well cooked and put together. I'm not willing to work my way through the menu to find the good food. Prices are what they think they need to be, and I am hesitant to criticize businesses unless they are way out of line on prices, but they frankly seem a bit high for what's on offer. read more

Temporarily staying in the area while I settle my parents' affairs, I was happy to discover steamboat grill and greens. First time through my food was good and hot, although none of the workers appeared to be wearing masks. Second time it was mediocre and not hot, no masks. Third time, mediocre but hot. No masks inside but the worker bringing my food out had one on. Food seems overpriced (although the milkshakes are worth it), I just can't go there anymore. If they don't care about the health of their employees (let alone their customers), maybe they are in the wrong business. To be clear these visits were post-mask mandate. read more

Had their 4 course Valentines Day dinner special and it was so good. From the steak and prawns to the soup with lavender in it... yum! The chocolate covered strawberries topped it all off perfectly. I've eaten at a lot of burger places. I would put steamboat grill and greens in the top 5 burgers with all competitors on the west coast - no lie. It's really good, and, I'm actually about to go there right now and was looking for a their number to call and was like, whoah, I haven't written a review yet. No way, I gotta leave one. Take away the waterfront view restaurant, add your own vehicle. Cut the price down by about 35% and there you have Steamboat Annies. A burger drive through on Steamboat Island that makes fantastic burgers for not much money. I went with the Steamboat Burger (it's called the Tugboat if you go to Tugboat Annies.) A gut bomb that includes ham, egg, cheeseburger, and all the fixins. If this sounds like your thing, then go for it, I realize a burger like this isn't for everyone though. That said, I quite enjoy it. The only downside is that the goop on both sides of the burger makes it real sloppy and actually tends to overwhelm all the other flavors. Goop everywhere! The fries had some good seasoning to them and teamed up with dipping goop, they are truly superb. If you find yourself hungry on the 101 between Shelton and Olympia this is the place to stop. 3/5 read more

I have a justifiable weakness for family-owned drive-ins that have weathered the decades-long onslaught of fast-food chains. Having traveled somewhat extensively across the country, I've found that we, in the PNW, are blessed with an unusually large number of these establishments. But having scoured the Sound area, I believe that this place is the best between here and Seattle. Yes, I live in Olympia and know the places there (which I love), but in terms of burger deliciousity and shakelific incredibility I don't think that this place is surpassed. I regret only that it's so hidden from the outside world. read more

It is NOT Steamboat Annies it's now under new owners and they renamed to Steamboat Grill & Green? Ok then.... Food was not at all the same. No more crinkle fries. Your standard regular cut fries. Changed buns and hamburger tastes WAAAAY different! Goop is no where close to the old version. I believe we paid about $31 for 2 burgers, fries, goop, a milkshake and soda...this is just OUTRAGES for a lil burger joint. We're not going back. The boyfriend didn't like it and unfortunately neither did I. The staff is nice... but also we called in our order and she told us next time we come to park by the fence rather than in line. Ok....but we won't be back anyways! Best of luck to the new owners because with these prices they're probably going to go bankrupt. read more

Road trip to Seattle and stopped in at this drive thru only fast food. Great experience--I had mushroom soup and a salad, kids had chicken strip and husband had burger. Everyone loved their meal--cooked to order so not "fastest" fast food but reward for waiting is food that tastes far better than fast food. My husband says the mushroom burger is the best he has ever tasted. I really enjoyed the cod.

Stopped by to pick up some lunch and decided to try something different instead of my usual of fish and chips. I ordered the Mushroom Bacon Burger and it did not disappoint, it was delicious! Probably one of the best burgers I've had. The burger was juicy, the onions and mushrooms were perfectly sautéed and the melting Swiss cheese was heavenly. I was visiting from California when I was lucky enough to have Steamboat Annie's! My friend said this was a hole in the wall and I can definitely agree. First, I thought the set-up was unique. The drive thru portion was really neat. I wasn't expecting this place to be sort of an RV type of place but then again I'm not familiar with anything from Washington. I had the bacon avocado burger and wow... It was AMAZING. Burger and fries taste good no matter what but something about Steamboat Annie's made them taste heavenly. The nuns were really soft, burger was juicy and full of tastes. The special sauce (gook?) was soooo good as well. I wish we had this place in California! Highly recommend the bacons avocado burger. Lady associates were really nice too! I think we called to pick up about 20 minutes earlier and they were very nice about it. read more

Do yourself a favor and try some of the soups - they are based off bone broth and every single one is incredible. I love the food here. I get a classic meal... deluxe cheeseburger with fries and goop. I don't eat this kind of food very often, but this is the place I choose when I do. I once had poor service though. We ordered goop with our fries (they charge .25 per dip) and they forgot to put it in our bag. We realized this when we got to a nearby park. We drove back to get the goop they forgot and they charged us! Double charge! Pretty lame. The fries were cold by then, so we ordered new fries. If you use a credit/debit card, be sure to tell them your tip before they run it. There is no option of tip after they run it. We don't always carry cash, so that sucked to not be able to tip. read more

I had the Deluxe Cheeseburger with curly fries and a pineapple shake. Hands down, the BEST burger I've EVER had. And the pineapple shake was on-point, too! This is the little local "burger" stand in our community and what a great little place to have in the neighborhood. In the last few years they have changed the menu up to include many more healthy options and specials of the day that you can see on the advertisement board from the main road. I believe there was a change in ownership in the last couple years that corresponded with the change. I have had lots of great tasting items from here. Yummy wraps and great soups on the specials..... a Thai soup I recall being very good! Salads and healthy options too. This visit I had the crispy cod sandwich and wasn't as happy as usual with my choice.... my fault as I forgot to hold the sauce and I do not like fish sauces. Most burgers etc are sold separate from fries so a full meal can get pricey, but the quantity is good for the money. Milkshakes are REALLY good! This is a drive up style place, but they make everything fresh so you will wait a little while. We will keep visiting this great local establishment and encourage people to stop and give it a try if you haven't! read more

In the past this local business was worth several more stars for their great food, but with Covid-19 I expected the business to have some cautions for their customers that I didn't observe. When you go through the drive-through you are met at your car window by the person taking your order who is less than 12-18" away from you. They are outside but they are not wearing a mask. Unfortunately, we paid homemade prices for previously frozen patties and dogs. I paid over $10 for what I am certain was a costco microwaveable chicken breast and ore-ida criss cut fries. Friends got corndogs, mini corndogs, and the steamboat burger. My friends enjoyed their food, so I gave this place three stars, even though for me it was a two. The food was okay, but for that price, I could have gotten a whole bag of spuds and a bag of those crystallized-for-more-freshness breasts. read more
