I have allergies to scented products. Recently after a plumbing issue in my kitchen,during which a rug was damaged, I found this company who advertises that they remove odors from damaged carpets. I'd made a very clear point of CONFIRMING that the odor (a spilled cleaning product) was my sole reason for bringing my rug in. They assured me they could remedy the issue and indeed, their ads speak to effective odor removal among others. They are advertised as eco-friendly as well. Unfortunately, instead, they just replaced the ONE odor with ANOTHER - a heavy coconut-scented synthetic cleaning product of theirs. Now, the rug was WORSE. I suffered severe allergic reactions all weekend when they were closed. When I reached them on Monday, they assured me they would they'd fix the problem. The product they used was "pina colada" but that they did have an unscented product. SO...given my very emphasized directive for why I was there, did they not use that but instead, that scented product?! The original staff and mgr. had been really nice. When I brought it in and questioned the above, I got defensive testy pushback from another manager who scoffed at my issue and then offered testy options: he'd refund my money or else he'd just fix the problem, sayiung that they WERE capable of this. I wanted my rug back, properly deodorized so if they said they could follow through and remedy the situation, I figured, ok, just opt for the fix. The friendly manager (Joseph) was there and said they'd just used too much of the coconut scented product. AGAIN, I asked, why was an unscented product not used, given my stated reason for BEING there? Anyway, they steam-cleaned it and I THOUGHT the issue resolved. But...nope. That to-me nauseating synthetic coconut smell had totally permeated the fibers of the carpet. . He said upon my return where I requested (and got) a refund after a mild pushback which they immediately recognized was unreasonable on their part that there was nothing else he could do for me. And while I will try elsewhere, I believe the carpet, unfortunately, is ruined. It had been a custom-cut and edged carpet for a particular space as well. Pretty upsetting. Manager Joseph is friendly and professional, as is the sweet front-desk person. Both were apologetic, at least (unlike the other obnoxious manager mentioned previously). So - here's my take. The positives: my rug WAS bright and clean upon its return. They reliably (other than the "bad" manager) got me my carpet back when it was promised to me. Joseph and the desk staff were friendly which is also a plus. And HE tried hard to remedy the situation. But these people did NOT listen to my request from the get-go which therefore caused major hassles (and considerable added waste of time and expense to me, with commuting back and forth several times, trying on my own to deodorize out that disgusting synthetic coconut smell (to no avail. I've tried a lot of otherwise usually successful and typical trieds-and-trues so far). All of this now continues as of this writing as I try to resolve matters around something that should NOT have been the case for a professional company of apparent longstanding and good reviews. The rug when first handed back was beautiful and bright, I'd been really happy, before all the drama ensued. So, my advice is that if you have allergies to scented products, based on my own experiences with SteamPro as noted, I personally advise that you shop around more for your rug cleaning needs. read more

He cleaned two carpets for me, a 10' x 10' white shag carpet that I didn't even realize had become dirty over time until he worked his magic and I saw what looked like a brand new rug in front of me. The other was smaller with four urine marks from a friend's dog I cared for last week. I am changing an old 1 star review to 5 stars because Avi and Joseph at SteamPro really excelled in their customer service and delivered excellent results. A tech came to my house yesterday to clean my couch and after an hour said he was done, however there was still quite a bit of extraction needing to be completed. He redid one area and it improved dramatically, so I asked him to redo the remainder of the couch and he declined. The steep price for one hour of work was really unacceptable to not do a more thorough job. After talking to Avi about what happened he sent Joseph out to get the cushions and do a more thorough cleaning at their facility. The couch now looks great and I am very appreciative of how they handled the situation and treated me. Gus was fantastic! He arrived early, was professional and courteous. His assessment was very honest: my puppy had had an accident on my platinum grey vintage velvet couch, but thankfully there were two thick blankets between him and the couch cushion. Still, the cushion was damp and a very faint stain was left in its place. My primary concern was an odor developing over time. When Gus first looked at and smelled the couch, he told me that he didn't think it even needed to be cleaned as it appeared to be in excellent condition. There was absolutely no pressure or need to sell me on something he didn't think I needed. As the light shifted in the room, we both noticed a very faint stain and I expressed my concern about the potential for it to smell. Once we both agreed that it made sense to go ahead with a light steam and enzyme treatment, Gus got straight to work. He brought his equipment up and carefully, but quickly and efficiently cleaned the entire couch. The sum total at the end of the day was exactly what he had quoted me and the couch looks like it did when I first got it. Not a huge difference to most, but as someone who is extremely detail oriented, I definitely notice how much cleaner and fresher it looks and feels. Also worth noting that I emailed the company for a quote on Saturday night, got a call Sunday morning, and the tech arrived early Monday morning. I'm sure some times are busier than others and this may not be possible for everyone, but I was incredibly grateful that they were able to fit me in almost immediately. They had 2 big machines going in my 2 storey condo wih a big living dining area downstairs, a big masters, and a second bedroom updtairs, with hallway and filthy carpeted stairs.
