I hired Lions and they did some work to try to mitigate, but said that it would be a problem down the line. Down the line arrived and I called Lions back when my AC was dripping excessive water. Turns out it was toast and needed replacement. I got a quote for replacement from them quickly. I shopped around and theirs was a little higher than others (5-10%ish) but I felt they had a very thorough quote that explained every step they would do, so I went with them. For the install, it was easy/quick to schedule. They told me it would take 3 days. Lions sent their subcontractors who did a really good job. It took the full 3 days to do the full install, and they were quiet, efficient, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. They did not damage my paint or walls at all. During the work, they determined there would be incremental work needed to make the system work more efficiently. They ran everything by me and asked permission before, and quoted me the incremental costs. In the end, I felt like it was the right thing to do. They spent time making new vents and ductwork for me for what seems like a very small incremental price for the amount of work. At the end, I asked them to walk me through all the work on video to explain the system which they obliged happily. One note is that my building HOA is very strict about going on the roof and doing installs to avoid damage to void the roof warranty. The roofers said they would charge me an egregious amount to supervise the HVAC guys to make sure it was done right. Instead, I got permission from my HOA not to bring the roofers as long as Lions did not damage or modify the roof. I explained this to them and they did a perfect job reusing the old mounts so no roof modifications were needed, saving me some liability. In the end, the new AC unit works very efficiently quietly and has new features to prevent the same problems my last one had. New AC will burn a hole in your pocket no matter what, but I'm glad I had it done well by Lions.

I recently had very bad experiences with other HVAC installation and repair companies. Between…read moregetting charged $3,000 every few months for, "topping off freon" (note: my system was installed new in 2018, so I'm not even sure if freon was the refrigerant the system needed), to proposing a $20k install of a new unit while mind was under warranty (twice), to claiming that my warranty was invalid until I set up an email thread with my HVAC company and my repair team to prove that my system was under warranty, to finally claiming that the local supply shop was "out of parts" for 6 months straight (I eventually called the shop, and they confirmed that they haven't been able to get a response from the repair team.). LONG STORY SHORT, I've been through HVAC hell, and finally decided to go with a new, local company with stellar reviews that recognized my system's warranty. Mario came to inspect the system, identified the repairs that needed to be made, was in and out within 2 hours only a day after I requested service, and not even $500 later I'm enjoying a cool, air-conditioned home. Extra points for not trying to upsell me on an entirely new system (lol - happened to me twice since buying my home, neighbors actually warned me about non-local HVAC companies), AND I can safely say that when I DO eventually need a new HVAC system, I'll be going with Manny's. Following a very thorough diagnostic assessment of the overall unit, Jesus suggested that we hold off installing any new parts at this time, as the system is somewhat old and doesn't provide any specifics concerning what needs to be replaced. Indeed, I appreciated Jesus's honest and straightforward assessment, as opposed to relying on guesswork to resolve the problem. At this point, I expect that we will likely be replacing our aging unit sometime this year....and, without a doubt, Manny's will be the company I call to do the job. They offered to install a new part for my non-working gravity heater the next day at $3,700.00 and orally guaranteed it for 10 years with the promise of a fix for two years after the installation if anything went wrong. Shivering, I happily accepted the word of the technician. I am repenting in leisure. When the work was done, and the technician, Zack, told me that, if I wrote a good review on Yelp, they would pay me $25.00----in the form of a gift certificate to eBay, Amazon or an online company of my choice---I got a different idea about all those great reviews. The heater stopped working 6 months later. Fishing out the invoice, I saw there was no written proof of a guarantee. I took the tech at his word and hadn't checked. Again, I was cold! When, after many calls and an email, David dispatched a second tech from Express to assess the problem, he told me that water was dripping on the new part and that the water had ruined it. He charged me $80.00 for coming out, saying the failure was my fault. None of this was written down. The technician said he could get me another part for $3,700 or install a different heating system for $15,000. Either way, he said, the $80 would be applied. Now the nickel drops. The dawn breaks, and I hire an inspector to tell me whether there is a leaking pipe that I need to repair. The inspector told me there was nothing leaking on the new part, in fact there were no water pipes anywhere near the furnace, only gas pipes. He also said that the technician had installed a red bypass wire, a temporary fix at best. So this review. To alert others. 1. Ask for a written guarantee. 2. Use a credit card so you have recourse. 3. Read the invoice before you sign. 4. Ask to see a photo of the area. 5. Do the opposite of what I did. I'm still cold. P.S. to Cassandra, business mananger, who left a note after this review. This is not a mistake. My invoice number is 4623 and I saw Zack on November 4, 2024. I saw the second technician May 30, 2025. The reason for the poor rating isn't their quality of work, it's their push back and excuses to avoid fulfilling any sort of warranty claim. Three instances over the last 6 years: 1. Shortly after one install the gas heater stopped working. They came out and said the gas company changed their pressure. Told me it was an "act of god" and charged me to adjust the regulator. Not covered under warranty. Ok 2. Two years after the other install the ac stopped. Told me it was a "wiring issue." I said "but you guys just installed the system and did all this wiring". Sent a different tech out. Turns out it just needed to be cleaned which I paid for. 3. Here's the one that got me the most and pushed me to write this review. Ac stopped working for my renters 6 years after install. The unit came with a 10 year part/labor warranty which I had in writing. They argued and argued with me that I didn't have any warranty left. Finally they realized they were wrong and we did still have warranty. But then the excuses started: oh you had the roof replaced so the warranty isn't valid. Then it was the name of my renter was on the invoice so it wasn't valid. They finally agreed to at least take a look. Turns out the renters dogs peed on the unit and damaged it but after asking three times they never gave me a quote to fix it. Went with a different company. They have potential to do really nice work. But their after install support needs major tweaking. Won't be using again.

I called Lions Air Duct because my children are suffering from allergies and my self too, the guy over the phone was really sweet and very knowledgeable, we scheduled an appointment a day after, the owner Joseph came, he inspected my system and show my exactly why I feel that bad in my home, my ducts was completely damaged (1957 home built) and a lot of fiberglass got in to my home. My system was also very dusty (fan was so bad), my AC was clogged as well. They change my ducts a day after, and the installers was amazing, they also cleaned my unit, and wowww I really didn't believe that the difference will be so much. I feel amazing and more important my little daughter. I more then recommend talking with these guys. Thanks Lions!! read more

The service with Lions Air Duct Services was so great. I have my son with allergies which seems to be worse when the AC is on. I decided to call air duct cleaning company. Spoke with Sarah to schedule, she was very professional and answered all my questions. We were able to schedule an appointment two days after. I can't believe the difference. He was efficient and thorough, even showed me a hidden area of my chimney that was extra dirty because it had been missed during a previous cleaning. Best part: I had someone else "inspect" my chimney and estimated $300 for a deep cleaning and $650 because the exterior was supposedly cracked and damaged. Tim inspected and said everything looked good and they only charge me $199. This guys are great.
