A casual vibe, great place for beer and a group happy hour. Every time I come here I am amazed at how much fun it is and what a great draft selection they have. Walk in and there are plenty of tables, a couple of gathering areas, standing room narrow tables, an outdoor area, and a room off to the side. I went for the Logboat Dark Matter which I have had before in a can and wanted to try on draft. I enjoyed it very much. You know what is great?! Since they don't have food, you can bring it in yourself. Both times our group has met up here Katie's Pizza is the choice and its in the same parking lot. You can't go wrong with Katie's. Bartender is on the ball and friendly, TV's all around, not too loud so you can talk. We had 10 and we were able to sit around the long stationary table in the middle of the room. Global Brew Tap House does not charge for the event room. They ask for reservations and for the attendees to patronize the bar. Perfect for a meeting or a book club. I had a couple of beers. Wide selection of local and popular craft beers . I use to come here a lot but haven't in a couple years. I ended up here last Thursday for bingo with a friend and we had a great time. Extensive beer list to choose from. The bingo was free so nice little activity to do while trying new beers. They give small prices for the winners. My friend ended up getting two city wide beers after winning a round. One round they were giving out a 10 dollar gift card! They also do trivia every Thursday! You can also bring dogs inside which is great! It's especially great if you worked all day and feel guilty leaving the house again but want to do something. They do not serve food but you are able to bring food in. I've seen people door dash to the bar or bring in various snacks from home. Katie's pizza is across the street so I would order Katie's to go and pick it up before coming. They also have different events through the month so I would check their instagram to see what they are up to. Today, they did a dog Easter egg hunt. I actually went and my dog had a great time. The eggs were filled with peanut butter and treats and then they had prices for the dogs that found the eggs with "numbers" in them. She very obviously has some regulars who sit at the bar and she favors, and almost acts like you are inconveniencing her when you order a drink. We tend to not come back as often because of this. Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall Global Brew Tap House offers one of the largest selections of craft beers I've seen in St. Louis. After dinner with my friends Johnny and Maleah, we weren't quite ready to head home and with COVID restrictions keeping some restaurants in the County offering abbreviated hours, Global Brew Tap House was our choice! Walking in you are just overwhelmed by the beer selection. Global Brew Tap House has beers from all over the country as well as craft beers from St. Louis. Even though they had so many beers, the bartenders were incredibly helpful! My friend Johnny had a lot of trouble picking from their draft list, and the bartender asked him a few questions about his preferences to help guide him to a beer he would enjoy. According to Johnny, they knocked it out of the park! I loved the ambiance at Global Brew Tap House. Even though we were inside a strip mall, I felt like we were in a hip, laid back bar. They had plenty of TV's to catch big games. While we sat inside, there was a cute patio with a fire pit. Seemed like a great place to chill with a beer. One thing I really loved and will keep me coming back to Global Brew Tap House... the pups. Oh wow were they cute. I appreciate businesses that not only allow dogs but welcome them with open arms. Let me preface this with- I am not much of a beer drinker, I am really more of the two Ws... (whiskey and wine)... but I love that they have SO many options. This really is an interesting little haven for craft beer drinkers to get an opportunity to try all sorts of worldly, and local, options - as well as seasonal brews. If you want anything but beer you will pay through the nose for it and the pours will be small- so if you want to join friends and not drink beer and want other liquor- be prepared for limited options and be prepared to pay for it. The space is expansive and they have a fire pit and since they don't serve food, they invite food trucks to pull up along the back side of the joint near the patio. Excellent idea! Dogs allowed! Their tap selection regularly rotates and you can generally see what they are serving on their website or the Untappd app. In addition to a vast amount of beers on tap, they also serve a variety of canned and bottled beers along with some wine. They provide a range of styles such as IPAs, stouts, ales, barrel aged, ciders, witbier, sours, etc. This location has plenty of seating at high top tables or a large bar that runs the length of the room. Additional seating on the patio that has tables, couches and a nice fire pit area. Global Tap hosts a variety of fun events like weekly bingo and trivia, rare beer promotions, raffles for beer and prizes and meet bike and drink. I have attended several of these events and they are a lot of fun! There is no food served at this location, but it is in a large plaza with several other restaurants. Saint Louis is blessed when it comes to beer options, we have some of the best craft beer breweries and a number of equally awesome beer bars. Global Brew is one of those awesome craft beer bars that really knows their beer, seriously the staff here is super knowledgeable and passionate about beer. Best of all they have a huge selection of both draft and bottled beer available for purchase. Food isn't available, however you are more than welcome to bring your own or order delivery. There are also a number of TVs so you can stay current on the Cardinals or Blues standings, however if sports aren't your thing there is also a patio area that is perfect for evenings with friends. Global Brew also hosts regular events, and brings in local but also some national brewers to discuss their beer with fans. Global Brew is new to the area. If you have not been before, this is like ITap, but with much better parking! There are maybe 50 beers on tap, there are hundreds of beers in bottles. There is a list of beers on tap to the left of the bar posted on the wall. If you can't find something to drink, you are clearly not a beer drinker (but there is also a small wine selection). The bartender that was working the day we went (the same bearded guy in the main photo on Yelp) used to work at another local brewery- he knows his stuff. He was very friendly and was eager to give us suggestions on what to drink (I'm into sour beers and I always ask for new ideas) He was the only guy working with a full bar of people during a football game. I never had to wait more than a minute for service. We drank a lot of new beers, but the one that I remember the most was Ryan and the Gosling- try it, you'll like it. There was also an orange gose (cant remember the brewery who makes it) that was also very good! I tried Sour Bikini, but it was too tart for my tastes (and super low alcohol content, so it would have been a waste, amiright?) TL:DR - Itap clone with better parking and less crowded. This is pretty much a suburban less well-known itap. It has a huge parking lot and lots of TV, a wall of taps, and plenty of seating. I went in on a Tuesday night and it was really empty, just my group, another group of three, and Dustin the bar guy. But I work out at the club fitness next door regularly, all that to say that I've never really seen this place packed. But that may be a good thing, at times itap can get fairly crowded. Outside of the that, the selection is great Dustin was friendly, and they have a bring your own food policy just like itap. For me, I'll probably continue going to Itap, just cause I like their specials and that's my normal spot, but this place is definitely a way above Tapped in Maplewood. read more

3.5 stars 4 stars for the beer selection, TV's for sports watching, and location (I'm always looking for craft beer a little closer to West County!). 3 stars for the ambience: it's not that comfortable, kind of empty, and you either have to sit on the bar or oddly long tables - none of this makes for easy TV viewing). They also have a patio but honestly, who wants to sit in a patio where you get a view of Manchester road and the parking lot of Lucky's Market? 3 stars for lack of food. No football game is complete without something to munch on. Despite how large Global Brew appears, there are zero food options. You can apparently get delivery or bring your own in, but that is a bit inconvenient. It also seems like it's not a hipster/trendy enough place for that kind of thing. I'll probably be back because this is a closer option for craft beer and NFL games I can't get at home.
