April has been doing my work, but I have seen a lot of clients work from other artists when I'm there; they are all very talented. Tons of parking all around the building. The shop is clean and welcoming. All of the live plants are really impressive. They add to the vibe as well as the decor. I cant Evan explain how disappointed my man was with the work he got from Jay! First off we were told that hand tattoos were his thing!! So when he said he would charge $500 my man was ok with the price because he thought he would be getting a great tattoo!! Nope!! Our son turned 18 and wanted his first tattoo. He is a baseball pitcher and lives to throw. For years he has thought about what he wanted for his tattoo. We interviewed a few tattoo artists at other shops and we just didn't feel a connection with their personality or their art. Kong was recommended by a friend and we reached out to him by text. He responded immediately, with class and excitement. We had a good dialogue I made an appointment to consult with him. The moment we walked into the shop we were greeted with a warm smile and handshake. He sat down with us and listened to us. What we liked most about him is that he gave us his suggestions on how to customize the tattoo to make it even better. His suggestions were right on point! I knew this was a sign of a true experienced professional that really cared. He immediately set to work on the drawing. It took about an hour and when it was done, it was beyond our expectations. He added touches that made our hearts soar! It was perfect and we went forward. We felt very comfortable with him in everything that he did. The shop is clean, and every precaution was taken to make sure everything was sanitized properly and that we felt comfortable. He verbally prepared her son for the tattoo and was very clear about the process and if our son needed to take breaks and so forth. We were allowed to sit with our son the entire time. A tattoo on the chest is not easy, but Kong helped our son get through it with distraction and laughter. This most detailed, incredible tattoo only took about two hours and was beyond our expectations as a family. None of us could stop smiling. The work is amazing and we will never go to anyone else for a tattoo. We highly recommend Kong! He can do every kind of tattoo and he cares so much about his clients and his work! Stay away from this spot & especially stay away from Irma! She BOTCHED a simple tattoo of a Buddha quote on a scroll by leaving out an entire sentence! My biggest mistake was allowing her to attempt to fix it, she made it much worse. I ended up spending a lot happily to get the piece fixed by a real artist! The most dumbfounding part of this nightmare was that Irma couldn't even be bothered to apologize ONCE! She was beyond rude as was her entire shop after she messed up & scared my body! It took awhile to get completely fixed but I finally feel comfortable in my skin again after this disaster. Do yourself a favor & find yourself a real artist who behaves like a professional. Anthony was also a great guy and made my first time much less intimidating. The place is classic as hell, I wouldn't want anything less from a tattoo parlor. Just got my nose and belly button pierced by Miguel. He set up everything with gloves on and was very clean & neat. Made me feel comfortable and explained what he was going to do before he did it so there were no surprises. You can tell he's experienced in what he does because he already knew my eye would tear up from the nose piercing. Shop is very clean. We came on Friday the 13th so it was busy but that's to be expected since it's a popular time to get tattoos. They moved efficiently and the wait didn't seem that long anyways. I give two stars only because they are doing something for the tragedy, otherwise it would have been one star. Kudos to them for doing tattoos for the tragedy here in Las Vegas, BUT...this is a mark you will have on your body forever, and for them to not do ANY modifications to the few they offer is just not right. Now hold on...I'm not talking about big modifications, I'm just talking little tweeks to what they want to put on you. Yes, I know I can go somewhere else, and believe me that's just what I'm doing. I'm one of the responders that worked that tragedy. I am one of the many that was there that night to help in the aftermath, provide medical care and get people to hospitals. Yes, I work for one of the ambulance services. So, to not be able to get what I want was bad enough, then for them to be so rude about it when I did ask (unfortunately I don't know the mans name) and for them to be so short and condescending to me really just made it that much worse! I was then told I couldn't stand there while 3 of my family members got their tattoo. Well, of course I left and will only be back to get my 2 daughters and son. Just letting people know my experience. Hopefully yours is better. read more
