My papa was excited to be getting a sauna from Steepleton, but a few days after the order he was admitted into the Cardiac ICU. His cardiac team said he would not be able to use a sauna. After canceling the order, there was a 1,800 fee to cancel. The sauna was never delivered and was not scheduled to be delivered for 3 to 4 weeks. Go anywhere else! GO ELSEWHERE!! Horrible customer service and follow up. We bought a *very* basic swingset and I was assured that it would work in our space and for our 12 year old. They had to come and stake it, and it still did not work correctly. I waited some time thinking it would settle and it still lifts up when anyone of size swings (he is 175 lbs). The young man that helped us and assured it would work, no longer works there. We decided to give it away and called to see what they would charge to disassemble (it's a 3 swing Jungle Swinger) and move it, and they said it would be $600. The swingset was only like 1000.00 to begin with. I refused to pay that and called to see what they would charge to just take down the swingset and they quoted $300.00 (no moving at all). Our son got home from deployment and took it down in about 15 min. What a joke!! They do NOT back their products and are entirely WAY overpriced on delivery, install and follow up care. read more

They are very welcoming, informative, and knowledgeable. The delivery staff and service is also top-notch. Located in the St. Matthews area of Louisville off Hubbards Lane. We bought our hot tub @ Steepleton's and have had it for 3 years without a single hiccup. We purchased it in July of 2016 and got quite a deal (hot weather temps helped out). Each year I purchase my chemicals at the store and receive a 30% discount that went along with the original purchase. The experienced staff are quite friendly and knowledgeable. Their selection of hot tubes, pool tables, outdoor furniture and games is great as are the prices. They frequently run advertised specials as well. read more

There is one thing that is above all else that will drive me away from or bring me back to a place. Customer service. It's the one thing a business can't live without. Today, sadly, we had a bad apple experience. Customer Service here = PITIFUL Walked in ready to buy a hot tub today and was barely greeted. Meanwhile the sales people milled around ignoring us. Going so far as to sit behind the counter and look at his phone and magazine. I'm disappointed and will take my business elsewhere. I guess they just didn't want our money. read more

We just recently purchased an outdoor play set for our kids and after looking at the rainbow systems in middletown and the lack of customer service we received from the woman there who owns it, we decided to take a look at what Steepleton's had to offer. It was a night and day difference in customer service and Wes was wonderful in sales at Steepleton. He was extremely easy to work with, never pushy and always patient with all of our questions and concerns. Drastic change from our other experience when shopping for these play sets elsewhere! I would highly recommend Steepleton based off the customer service we received alone, and also for the quality product of the woodplay brand sets they carry which to us was comparable to the rainbow systems. read more
