The staff was beyond rude. Food was not the best and it was definitely overpriced. I don't recommend.

Buffett has a very large variety of items. The Steak is very good and there is at least 4 types of chicken. Large Salad area.

Not worth the price. Had the buffet, which did not have much selection. But then again, there isn't much else to eat around there..

All food from the buffet was public school cafeteria bland. The salad bar was sub par at that.

Coming here is always a memorable experience. Never very crowded which I appreciate. When it comes to the food, I know when I come here I will taste tastes I've never tasted before haha. It's a real dinning experience. The service is good, to be picky this is one area they could improve to really go to the next level.

The menu seems to be all over the place. I wouldn't call the cuisine any particular genre since there were items that categorically fall under "Mediterranean" as well as "Asian-fusion". Two things in particular that didn't make sense to me. The tofu on the Mediterranean bowl. Tofu marinated in soy sauce is not what comes to mind when I'm thinking of any country in the Mediterranean. Also, the tasting menu has an option for an entree choice of veal shank. I was informed there would be an upcharge since it's a pricier menu item, which is totally acceptable. What I was not prepared for was a giant cut of meat (it had to have been 10oz or more) with a huge bone still attached. The portion did not fit with a tasting menu. Luckily, my husband has the appetite of a small horse so he finished it.

A Steakhouse Worth Its Salt at Duke's…read more Last night, my experience at Duke's Steakhouse left me thoroughly impressed and eager to share. From the get-go, we were greeted with warmth, setting the tone for the evening. The friendly staff, led by our waitress who was an absolute delight with her humor and attentiveness, made our dining experience not just a meal but a memorable outing. We started with the shrimp cocktail, and let me tell you, the shrimp were not just large; they were colossal, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. It was a fantastic start that set high expectations for the rest of the meal. For the main course, we decided on the filet mignon and the Delmonico steak. Both steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, embodying the rich flavors and tender textures that one hopes for in a high-caliber steakhouse. The filet mignon was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth, while the Delmonico was richly flavored, juicy, and just the right amount of charred on the outside.Considering the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the excellent service, I found the pricing to be very appropriate. It's not just a meal you're getting at Duke's; it's an experience. Whether it's for a special occasion or just a desire for a top-notch steak dinner, Duke's Steakhouse delivers on all fronts. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I am a pescatarian athend the menu had some interesting fish and seafood items. I got there on a weekday during happy hour and sat at the bar. Since it was half off for happy hour I started with the Smoked Trout Dip which was one of the items I really wanted to try. The dip came out really quickly and was a very nice looking plate, crostini and cucumber slices were nicely arranged around the scoop of dip covered with crushed nuts. The dip was decent, although flavors were a bit muted; I was hoping for more of the smoke flavor and having the trout make a bigger impact. Not bad, but not an item I would order again. Next up I tried the Smoked Salmon Poutine. A good sized portion of sweet potato fries topped with a generous amount of house smoked salmon, feta cheese and creme fraiche sauce. All of the ingredients were high quality and well prepared, however the dish didn't quite land as poutine since all of the elements other than the fries were served cold which muted the flavors and meant that the cheese didn't melt. This dish missed all of the hardiness and warmth that I associate with poutine. I came to Smoke on the Water hoping for big flavors and while the food was good and they used quality ingredients I just found the flavors to be a bit mild an underwhelming for me. A bit of a disappointment, of course your experience may vary, especially if you are having the actual BBQ.

Recommended by another local restaurant... In town to ride…read morethe train. Nice ambiance in the first level of a house, but apparently understaffed ( guess this is a common theme in Elkins)...waited about 5-10 minutes to be greeted until my husband went directly to a server. Eventually seated. Hubby enjoyed his food: a spicy shrimp soup and chicken empanadas. My food was just ok; an acorn squash soup that was a bit bland and one of their specials, sweet and spicy Thai with chicken: chicken overcooked, not too much of it, and prepared in corn/cheese (?), which I wasn't expecting. Rice was rather bland, too. Server was friendly, but not very attentive. Probably because she was back and forth to the back room where there's a bar and a DJ ( at lest when we were there last night). The 2 glasses of sangria were good, and the total bill came to about $52 without tip. This could have been such a better experience; management take notice regarding staffing but maybe that's a continuation of a bad trend...

I did manage to get there on Saturday just as they opened for dinner. El Gran Sabor is located in a converted vintage home; there is a small bar area and a medium sized dining room. The decor is comfortable and homey. Service was good and the menu pulls from both Mexican and Venezuelan cuisine which sounded like a great idea after a hard day of skiing. I ended up ordering the Shrimp Cachapa since I had not had this item before. This is a corn pancake topped with shrimp, vegies and cheese sided with rice and beans. A very tasty dish and just the kind of balanced meal to have after a day of exercising; also an item I have not seen on other menus before so I always like to try new things. I also really enjoyed the cup of spicy shrimp soup that came with the meal, rich shrimp flavor with a nice hit of spice warmed me to the core and got the meal off to a great start. I would strongly recommend El Gran Sabor if you are looking for a meal in Elkins, this was far and away the best meal I had during my visit and I would head back if I were in the area again. Definitely the culinary highlight of my vacation.
