I've been seeing Sara M. there for cut and color for several years now. Sara helps me achieve my blonde ambitions without bleaching, and my hair is about a billion times healthier as a result! She does a great job with my cut and layers, too, and does one heck of a blowout. The salon is stylish looking, and the color scheme very relaxing. It has 4 haircutting stations separated by mirrors and sheer curtains, and a nice little side room with two sinks for shampooing with comfy chairs that support your neck. There is also a room for getting one's nails did (as they say). I've only been there to see Sara, but everyone else who works there is perfectly pleasant! I love coming in for my appointments here--great conversation while Miss Sara works on my hair, and I get a nice cup of coffee or tea and a stack of gossipy magazines to thumb through while my color processes. Sara gives lots of care and individual attention to her clients, and I never feel like our appointments are rushed. Highly recommend!

Not only did she burn it off, but she never ever took accountability. Instead, she made me feel as if the accident was my fault, blaming the result on a product that I used on my hair. Every hair professional I have seen after her has been completely shocked with her result, pointing out her incompetence and dismissive attitude to the situation. Initially she even charged me for the service which was later refunded after much discussion. The whole situation completely devastated me. It has been two years and my hair is still recovering. I have spent over $3,000 in maintenance and care trying to rebuild the strength of my hair. Most devastating of all, my curls haven't returned to the state they once were in prior to the accident. I'm voicing this because I don't ever want this to happen to anyone again. Amanda was incredibly unprofessional, evasive, and obstinate. Never once did I receive an apology. Brittany, the esthetician, is simply a-ma-zing. Seriously. I'm a raving fan. Some people are just born into their craft and if this is the case, Brittany is among those who are a natural at providing a truly relaxing facial. When I started seeing Brittany, her facial services were just the basic relaxing, cleansing facial, and an option of the hydrojelly mask. These are enough because the real magic happens when she works on me. I always feel so relaxed and refreshed after a visit. I simply melt when I am under her care. No kidding. Brittany is very respectful of her client's time. She is pleasant but she doesn't talk through the service. She is sensitive to her client and knows when to engage in small talk and when to just listen. The first time I went to see her, I don't even know when it happened, but I fell asleep. Yep. That good. Don't be fooled, though, she does the facial job well. I can feel her doing a good job at extractions. Not heavy handed. Some treatments I have had, either the extractions were painful or there was really none happening at all. Finally, Brittany is very responsive, accommodating, and sincerely appreciative of the business. She is not out to nickel and dime you or to demand a huge gratuity. My experience tells me she is really working on gaining customer loyalty and that's what I have been giving this place. For the above reasons, I am a loyal, happy, repeat customer. I go usually after work as she gives me the unwinding and energizing treatment I need. I live 24+ minutes away from here but it doesn't even matter. I go! Such a treat. We spoke of her client I ran into and how I would love her exact color. Great! Show up the day of my appt and was seated right away. She worked quickly but, clean. I've never had a color done without having the tips of my ears and hairline tinted red. She got it perfect. Finished coloring my hair and asked if I want it styled. I asked how much and "it's included!" (Hmm, Pam didn't style my hair). When Loris was done, I looked like an effin super model! Eye catching red and slight curls to give my long, baby fine hair gorgeous volume. I felt beautiful. Then I found out the price. After 20+ yrs of coloring my hair, I understand hair stylists need to charge different prices to pay for their chair/spot. But, Pam ripped me off. I made sure to tell Loris this. I just paid half the price of my previous visit to get a brighter color, cleaner job, gorgeous style and done in half the time. Apparently, Pam is the owner. Which to me, is very sad. I hope she reads these reviews so she is aware her gouging people for money is wrong, very bad for business and should stop immediately. BUT, the update to 5 stars is for Loris. I felt like I should never go back but I did at it was worse this time. She fumbled around with my hair and it came out worse than when I went in. Then she pretended to cut my hair , took two snips and was going to charge me for a hair cut, there was no hair on the floor. I had to have her refoil my hair to correct her mistake and she left me sitting there. I had to leave with the foils in my hair and she charged me for a horrible job 75$. Pam is vindictive and malicious. I guess she has a temper. Just another bad Rhode Island hair joint.

Please have better customer service for your patrons. I get it's just a "hair cut" and as long as you do a good job, wash, clean etc it would be fine. I won't be coming back.
