I do consistently come back to Charming Nail in Cranston but lately their service has been falling short. I typically request an appointment online and despite doing so unless it is early in the morning the appointment always runs much longer than necessary due to how busy they are. I'm not sure if it is due to overbooking or just allowing too many walk-ins, but I have definitely had to wait over 20 minutes for an appointment I made in advanced which is unacceptable. Charming nail is one of the only salons in the area which offers dazzle dry, but the consistency of the service is all over the place. Some technicians follow the dazzle dry procedures perfectly which results in a long lasting manicure, but others don't and my nails chip less than 24 hours after being done. This is frustrating when I'm spending $30 plus tip for something that doesn't last. Especially when I'm getting nails done for a special event. Overall the vibe of the salon is good and the people are nice, but I do hope this lapse in recent service rectifies itself so that I can feel confident in going back. read more

I was in the area and need a mani & pedi. I called them to see if they had any openings and the man on the phone was very friendly. He said I can come in right away for service. Walking into the salon, the place was bright and clean. I was welcomed by the man I talked to on the phone, and was taken to the wall of nail polish. They had quite a large selection of colors. My nail tech was good, she didn't talk much which I appreciated because I just wanted to relax and gave me a nice shoulder message afterwards. My manicurist had a family emergency, so I had to go to another salon. I called them up and they told me that I could come in with immediately, which I did. The establishment is a very clean roomie salon. I was greeted with a smile by one of the staff. I can't remember the name of the person who was my manicurist is but she was quite pleasant and professional. The bottom line is I loved the nail job that she did and in addition I was given a massage a neck massage. The cost was great. Last appointment of the day was maybe the reason I got lackluster service. They seemed a bit irritated since it was my first time there, I wasn't from the area, and the gel nails I had from my regular manicurist was not up to their standards for some reason. They did the very rude thing where they point laugh and talk about you in another language and it's very uncomfortable. The lady who did my nails cut me twice on my cuticles from aggressive movements with the filing tool. Took an hour and a half for a service that would normally take 45min to an hour. Also - asked for a very simple design of a few hearts and it took her like 20 tries to get it done. The price was pretty cheap and the place was very clean and new but I will not return. read more

I have come two times and have had a great experience both times. First time it was Christmas and I got Christmas colors gel nails and they came out beautiful. I did pedicure today and Henry was great and so sweet. I loved being in the massage chair and getting the massages that come with the package. He made my tow nails and feet beautiful. They are very accommodating. The pedicure was $45 which seems like common price maybe a little higher since it was not gel just regular. They are more based on appointments so I recommend calling before to make one. I would go again. It's a very relaxing atmosphere and big space. I recommend it. Cant wait to come back. read more

This salon seems to have very under trained workers. my nails do not look like anything i asked for and they are very different lengths and sizes all over the board. the gel is also bumpy and i asked for them to be filed more and it seemed to make no difference. it also took my lady almost two hours to do my nails and she was very nice however she did not seem to know what she was doing. the woman next to me also seemed to have a bad experience and walked out without any polish on her nails at all. all over negative experience, workers do not seemed trained. would not recommend. read more

Found this salon through a google search and I am normally hesitant to try new nail places. I am so glad I did. They were able to accommodate me minutes after arriving. They were very welcoming and courteous. The place is spotless and they open everything up right in front of you. The massage chairs were amazing. I Will definitely be returning. I got a green tea gel pedicure and definitely took advantage of the 20% discount. Also they do ask you not to tip on the credit card so be mindful of this, they do have an atm. read more
