My first time here since my first visit 2 years ago and boy have things changed! The restaurant is still super cute but the food and service missed the mark! We were told it would be a 20 minutes wait so I asked the hostess if we can sit at the bar and order a drink while we waited to be called. She told us if we did that, we would have to sit at the bar and can't be moved to the dining table. WTH?!? She said there's a wait for the bar seats but NOONE sat there. Makes no sense! We were greeted by a friendly bartender who took our drinks and food order and made great drinks for us. The rest of the staff looked so lost and ran around like they were busy but it wasn't even busy! On to the food, we ordered the burrata, buffalo chicken salad and blt. The burrata was ok. The buffalo salad had no dressing and the chicken was just tenders in buffalo sauce. It just didn't wow me. The BLT was the saddest looking BLT ever! The limp bacon and a small piece of Romain lettuce and sad tomatoes slopped together on focaccia bread. No mayo or any spread on the bread. It was dry and just sad! I was disappointed that the food wasn't spectacular like it was the first time we went. And lastly, please Print new menus. The crumpled menus looks terrible!

Excellent place in big bear for a bite and drink. has a gorgeous patio to lounge and gather with larger parties. I ordered the nutella espresso martini which was a 10/10!!!! Great happy hour food specials too and the people who work there are very friendly. I will definitely be back when I am in the area!

Stopped by here today in search of a dog friendly brunch spot around 10:30 am on a Sunday, got the text that our table was ready around 11am. They did tell me 20-30 mins so we walked around the village a bit and were accurately summoned back in under 30 mins. We sat out in the patio with our lil pups and were immediately given water (pups included). Everybody was super friendly and everybody came by to say hi and pet our little fur babies. We all felt super welcome! I ordered the garden benny and my boyfriend got the chorizo burrito, both with breakfast burritos. Unfortunately it took nearly an hour for us to get our food, even the iced tea had taken 30 mins to arrive but they said they had to brew me a new batch. The chorizo burrito was already quite cold. My garden eggs benedict arrived with yolks cooked all the way through and the hollandaise had already seized a bit. On the menu it said that my benedict would include avocado, arugula, and fresh tomato but for whatever reason it arrived with caramelized onions instead of arugula? It was delicious nonetheless, but you know, different flavor combo from expectation. Potatoes were well seasoned but wish they were cooked just a few minutes longer as they still had a bit of bite. I really wanted to love this place, however it really fell short of expectations. The service was really slow and while I'm usually very forgiving, the food also arrived not worth the wait. Still 3 stars to the staff, they really were as friendly as can be. Unfortunately the food and timeliness were just a little lacking.

I was hoping this place would be very promising for brunch.... Sunday when we checked in, it was looking to be about 15 minutes wait time. We figured as there were people also waiting. With that, we never left to walk around but instead sat on one of the planter seats literally infront of the restaurant. Ok, more people showing up and also on the wait lists. Then we noticed a group of 7/8 which came way after us being seated. We're sitting here for about half an hour now waiting for a table for 2 plus a dog and a group of 7/8 who got there and waited 5 minutes or so getting seated before us, pretty rude. Went up to the hostess to which she said are you so and so. No, and mentioned the name and she looked a bit dazed and then said your tables ready. Mind you, the waitlist never notify us or texted and we're sitting literally right infront of the restaurant. Where the hostess could see us. Anyways, got seated but asked if there was another table available which was fine. The only good thing from this visit was when we found out that they had bottomless mimosas for a very reasonable price. Also I think there was probably one waiter taking care of everyone in the whole restaurant and a lady he was training. When they came to take our order, the gentleman was explaining to the trainee who was literally standing next to me. I understand she's being trained but it just felt a little awkward both of them just standing there one on either side of me right next to my shoulder. Food wise, we both got a breakfast burrito. Mine was the chorizo and eggs. First off, it came out really fast and the first bite, cold. The chorizo literally was cold throughout. Also fries came out pretty fast as well which they were somewhat warm. The other burrito with veggies and eggs came out warm which at least was nice. I didn't want to make a fuss about it as it was already here. Then while getting a refill on the mimosas, it was spilled all over our table. A few minutes later, the gentleman next to us got up and spilled the cup of water on our table as well. Can't make this thing up. First the mimosas on the left side and then the cup of water on the right side. Overall, the waiting situation with being forgotten about. Then the cold burritos, it was just not a good experience. The good thing about this place is that it was pet friendly which you could also bing your pet inside as well. And the great price for bottomless mimosas was worth it. Besides that, don't think we'll come back. Who knows....

Came in for lunch after doing some shopping on a Wednesday afternoon and it was seated right away. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Tommi Ann took care of me. Nice little outdoor patio and inside the half booths against the wall were comfortable. Decorations and ambience are pretty bland though. Very sparse decorations. I started with the table bread focaccia with balsamic and olive oil and it was just OK. I'm used to ordering focaccia and you get a bunch of lovely herbs in it. This had none. Then I ordered the burrata salad on a bed of arugula with strawberries and raspberries, and a balsamic and olive oil drizzle, and it was scrumptious! Nice chunk of Burrata that was very creamy and the combination of the fruit really brightened all the flavors. Nice looking breakfast and brunch menu. I think I might try that if I come in again.

    Orange martini :( Mai tai
    Tina A.

We were originally going to come here for lunch, but noticed how much busier the place across the street was. We believe it's always busy for a reason, so went there instead. We then decided we would come over for a drink as the pics online looked very nice. My husband got a mai tai and was satisfied with it. I ordered an orange martini, which I have never heard of before, but was willing to take the chance. The Bartender added some ingredients to the shaker and shook it two times, set it down and went and served some people their food, when she came back she poured the shaker into my glass and then added vodka, as if it was an afterthought. I took one sip and knew why they weren't that busy. I did not drink it and it was never offered to be remade.

Bacon Benny and his overcooked poached egg ($19.95)

We came for my birthday brunch, looking for a good meal in a pleasant environment that was welcoming to the pups. Two out of three ain't bad, eh? There was a bit of wait - Big Bear was busy that weekend - but we didn't mind, as the sun was out, there were places to sit, and the pups were being remarkably well-behaved. Once we were called, the staff were attentive to both us and the dogs (bringing them a water bowl and stopping to interact with them). For my main, I went with the Bacon Benny ($19.95) and my husband ordered the California Dream'n ($13.95), essentially their version of avocado toast. We also decided to share one of their jalapeno cheddar pancakes and each got a cup of coffee to complete our meals. I wish I could say that I loved the meal. I wish I could say that we were full when we left. I mean, given the amount of money we spent on two plates alone, having at least one of those two would have made it feel more worthwhile. The plates weren't exactly small, but they didn't fill you up the way some of the other, more "homey" restaurants in the area did. And while I liked the idea of the bacon Benny, the execution was lacking. The bacon was limp, which made it difficult to cut into. The focaccia looked crispy but was, in fact, soggy and the eggs were in no way poached. I can overlook a lot of things in a Benedict dish, but overcooked eggs are a huge no-no. I ended up not finishing the meal, and when the waitress came to clear the plates, she saw it, saw the overcooked egg but made no comment. My husband enjoyed his avocado toast but also made short work of the pancake we were supposed to be sharing because the toast wasn't enough to fill him up. The jalapeno cheddar pancake was interesting. Savory and crispy but when paired with the syrup - which my husband absolutely smothered the cake in - the sweet/salty/crispy/slightly spicy combo was an explosion in my mouth. Not a great explosion, but I didn't...hate it? In the end this wasn't our favorite meal of the trip, but that's on us for not doing a bit more research or choosing a different option.

After walking around town looking for gluten free options for our son who has Celiac disease-we landed on Stella Luna. First off my husband said the Hefeweizen beer was one of the best he's ever had. The owner has people in his family who have celiac disease so they are very celiac friendly making food in separate fryers! They also have gluten free buns for the burgers. Their food is made fresh and was delicious! My kids who are 6 and 9 gave it a

I came with some friends for brunch. Very cool spot that's dog-friendly I ordered the Roasted Squash Sunrise with a side of fries. The veggies were fresh and the fries were delicious! Washed it all down with a kombucha. Can't wait to stop by again!

Had to come by once we heard the restaurant was named for their dogs. Also heard they had a good selection of gluten free items. The crab cake is gluten free which seems to be hard to find. Good portion size. I think the lemon vinaigrette over powered the crab a bit so just used sparingly. The bacon wrapped dates were delicious. I wanted more. Our server was amazing and I've forgotten his name. We were visiting from San Diego and he mentioned we should head home a different way to stop and see some waterfalls. Great chat. We did head home that way but didn't have time for waterfall hike, but it's in our list for next time! Thanks again!

I went on Sunday night, there was only a few tables filled, definitely a slower night. My first time trying this place. The server was very nice and the food came out quickly. The salmon I had was a nice size fillet. The broccoli tasted rubbery, though, as if it was microwaved. My hubby said steak was good , but he loved the fingerling potatoes. Their menu for brunch looks delicious but I feel that is probably what is a favorite at this particular restaurant. I will definitely try it again. I just wasn't feeling very well, so everything tasted kind of off to me. That has nothing to do with the restaurants quality. I will give it another go when I go up next month.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE: it was a great place to lounge outdoor with food and drinks! ORDERED: [3/5] pineapple habanero wings: lacking in habanero (not spicy) and the dish came out pretty cold. their side of ranch is homemade with dill, which made for a nice pairing! [5/5] roasted squash sunrise: delicious! love the pairing of a warm avocado and squash! [4/5] grilled steak sandwich: a bit too much cheese, but not bad [5/5] bear cider: very tasty and perfect to sip on! [3/5] big bear sour: lacking on the egg whites and the drink was a bit too sweet SERVICE: Service was good but a bit slow. I overheard one of the servers tell several tables that substitutions weren't welcomed because it's already slow... prob not the best? PRICE: ~ $40pp PARKING: plenty of street parking and lot across the street Food: 4/5 stars Service: 3/5 stars Venue: 4/5 stars

AMAZING nutella espresso martini. They have an actual espresso machine at the bar so you know it's gonna be great. Food was also really good! Service was a lil weird because the owner (I'm assuming) had their baby behind the bar and the manager (I'm guessing) was sitting at the bar next to us complaining and saying how she didn't want to be there lol. I can see why the other reviews are so negative, but their food is so good we went twice.

My low rating is entirely based on the customer service experience within the first few minutes of arriving. I came in with my dog, fully aware that we would need to sit outside. Since most restaurants still have you check in first, I stood at the podium where there was a sign indicating a server would check in guests. After standing there briefly, an employee asked if we wanted to sit on the patio. I said yes, and he responded by telling us to "go up the ramp." Not even in a friendly manner. Me being me I just wanted to verify that I didn't have to check in as it wasn't just myself, my party we're not all with me ..wanting to make sure I was following the correct process, I politely asked if I didn't need to check in first. His response came across as annoyed, basically repeating that he had already told us to go up the ramp. The interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive and rude. There's a difference between being direct and making guests feel unwelcome. I'm usually not someone who leaves negative reviews over one interaction, but both my husband and brother-in-law also noticed the attitude, as they were close enough to hear and it immediately made us uncomfortable enough to leave. Before leaving, I did take a quick look at the patio area and noticed it was very shaded with leaves scattered around from the wind, which didn't make the outdoor dining setup feel especially inviting either. Overall, this was disappointing because I had chosen this spot to celebrate my 30th birthday and was really looking forward to enjoying a big, delicious pancake. Unfortunately, the experience started off on the wrong foot and we decided not to stay.
