Garlic Parmesan wings

We chose to go to Stillwell's because there were no other restaurants available at the time--most had about a two-hour wait. This restaurant was supposed to open at 5:00 PM, and we were first in line, so we were seated right away. The customer service was amazing and extremely well organized, with no delays at all. Even with reservations coming in, everything ran smoothly. The entire restaurant filled up within 15 minutes, which was impressive to see. The restaurant itself is very beautiful with amazing outside seating. We decided to order only appetizers. We had chicken wings, artichoke dip, crab cakes, and calamari. The food itself was nothing out of the ordinary and overall average, but the efficiency and customer service truly stood out. Getting a table so easily on a busy holiday evening was entirely due to how well the restaurant was managed. Kudos to the entire team, including Jaela (I believe that was her name)--a young team member who went above and beyond, helping lift chairs and accommodate the rush alongside the rest of the staff. She truly stood out, and one star just for her.

We had been here once before several years ago and decided for another visit. They're happy hour is quite good, offering nice prices on drinks and some good food items. I had the fish wings which sounded strange but ended up being fantastic. Next to no presentation with them, but the freshly breaded pieces of fish were tender and juicy and just delicious, not at all like fish sticks. The sticky shrimp appetizer was a dramatic contrast as it was oozing with presentation in its fancy glass and abundance of accoutrements. It made me wonder what the fish wings would've looked like with this kind of TLC?... our server was helpful and told us the story of how there's a natural spring here that creates the water feature outside that used to be quite a large lake, some interesting big bear history to check out... we enjoyed our visit and we will be back for another happy hour in the future!

Good food, not a lot of options for breakfast. Can be busy if you don't come down to breakfast early.

This review is for the breakfast buffet that's included with the room. Food was good and along the lines of what you'd expect for a complimentary hotel breakfast buffet. Would have been better if they had a second protein option besides scrambled eggs. But the potato hash was crispy and well seasoned. Service was friendly.

Plenty of choices

Great environment, location is perfect and the live music is key to a place like this. Most things were great except the service. Plenty of drink options, but they are delivered with attitude.

Always a good time the food is great. The service is amazing and the ambience is relaxing. If you're feeling overwhelmed inside, you can always go relax at the lake right outside. You can't beat that happy hour

Ashley has the best drinks hands down in Big Bear! Check her out. The lemon drops , try them! She has the most welcoming personality!

I swear I do more here than just drink -- but honestly, it's a great spot for that too. Libni, Karla, Aurora, and the whole crew make you feel like family. Make this a regular stop on your trip to Big Bear. I brought my sister last week and my dad this week, and I'm already lining up more family for next time :)

Really enjoyed Stillwell's for breakfast!! My favorite breakfast place we experienced in Big Bear. The service was excellent with Brenda!! She was attentive and our BEST server in Big Bear!! The food was great and perhaps the reason I say our best breakfast experience is that the patio is serene, quiet, beautiful with a little pond. We loved it!!

Stopped in only bar I've been to where the bartender didn't know how to make the drinks. I asked how much cocktails were and was just told it varies no prices were given = red flag ! Lol anyway Ashley with some help made us some drinks. Just a couple things though when I put my card down for the tab after my drinks I had forgotten but as a bartender she should have known my card was being held. Anyway I paid with another card and pu my card on hold the next day. I also wasn't shown a breakdown of charges $114 for 5 drinks , 4 peanut butter whiskey shots and an order of Calimari.I asked for a recept for a breakdown of charges but was told no receipt was available. Oh well just seemed kinda shady to me.

Found this little gem while on a walk and it's truly the best in Big Bear. The bartender, Ashley is super cool and makes fantastic drinks - obsessed with the lemon drop!

Really nice spot to grab a drink at the bar. Try the green tea shot. Ashley at the bar had a good play list playing out on the patio and she was very delightful.

Food was served overcooked and cold. Waited 40 minutes for rib dinner that was burnt and totally dry. Stay away from here on trivia night.

I rarely write negative reviews but I did feel like this place let us down…read more We started our night off as a bachelorette party here. The DJ played F*** Trump (some techno song that just repeated the words Fuc* Trump) then they played the Barney theme song/Yankee Doodle. Like what kind of bar is this? Which I believe may have been requested by some guest in the bar. When a girl from our group requested Toby Keith courtesy of the red white and blue the DJ told her no he would not play that. It blew our mind that the dj would play childish songs in a a bar. But to each their own. It did not hurt us to leave and spend our money at the next bar. I will say the bartenders were rad! I believe the DJ is to blame here not the bar itself. If you are looking for a bar with wonderful party vibes try Murray's or Whiskey Dave's

I ordered the apple tart which was really good. Service: A1. The bartender Armando was so friendly and welcoming. Also told me to come back because it gets busy from 7pm-12am (I went on a Friday). I really liked his vibe and the vibe of the bar overall. Ambience: it's clean and seemed organized for a bar. There's games there and a pool table. Everyone was so friendly. I had a few people talk to me and gave me some tips and recommendations on where to go in Big Bear, as I'm not from there. I also liked that they are dog friendly. I saw 3 other dogs there too. I would definitely come back & recommend this place to my friends.

Greeted by the owners, Midean and Jerry. A good start that turned horrible. Our server, Alan was sweet but didn't know what "aldenté" meant for my Clam Linguine. Sadly, the lnguini came overcooked. When one of my girlfriend went to tip the musician and asked if he could stay another hour and she would pay him, he said yes but needed to clear it with Midean. My friend was treated rudely by her. As an owner of any establishment, service, service, service is top priority to your customers. This was not the case. Midean's demeanor was short and annoyed. Mind you, restaurant hour closes at 8:00 pm. However, the bar closes at 9:00 pm. Towards the end of our dinner felt hurried. Alan offered to box our leftovers.. Menu prices in other upscale restaurants, server offers this service. Somehow, my clam linguini was not packed. Next day, I went looking through the frig., it was never packed. My girlfriend graciously paid the $600+ bill called today and spoke to Midean. Again, the owner was super defensive and pushed the responsibility on us for not packing the leftovers ourselves. Polite response from my friend who paid for the bill corrected the incident to Midean that this was offered by the server, shifting the responsibility back to the restaurant. When asked if my food could be replaced, a rude response was a stern no! I asked how will you address this experience to your server? She said, " Will tell server never to offer packing leftovers for customers." Furthermore, she told us to never come back. Wow

Brought the stroller in without any trouble, which is always a win. The atmosphere is what gets you first. There's a ton of cool decor to take in, and the menu has music-themed names for everything -- a fun detail if you're paying attention. Food was delicious and the beers on tap are a great selection to pair with it. Service was attentive and the vibe is comfortable for families without feeling like a kids' spot. Everything from the bathroom to the lobby to the little dining room is really tricked out nicely. This place probably is more of a bar for beer and they happen to do food also. In the indoor dining room they have four televisions with the latest sporting events going. When we were there, two of the TVs were tuned to the pre-All-Star game, one was the NBA Summer league and the final one was to some Spanish station that had some type of soap opera /talk show going on. The wife ordered the declaration burger and I ordered the Californication burger. They both came with french fries. The one thing we both noted was the cold buns. This really immediately made the burger not that appealing. Both burgers were cooked to order. I can talk directly to mine. It was a good burger with an Ortega green chili on it piece of cheese two piece of bacon and shredded lettuce and some diced tomatoes. Unfortunately having a cool doughy bun on a hot burger just didn't do it. The wife complained of the exact same thing. The french fries were hot, but they were nothing to write home about. No seasoning or anything like that. They were not very busy when we walked in three tables going. The service was slow because our server was talking to some friend at the end of the bar who appeared to be an employee on break. They have a great concept and with a little effort and attention to detail the food could be outstanding. With all the competition going on in the village, we were really looking for so much more. We thought we were gonna be getting a Great light designer burger, that really wowed us with taste. But that didn't happen. Might give it a try again. We're making a point to try to hit every single place in the village and the surrounding area.
