This review is for the breakfast buffet that's included with the room. Food was good and along the lines of what you'd expect for a complimentary hotel breakfast buffet. Would have been better if they had a second protein option besides scrambled eggs. But the potato hash was crispy and well seasoned. Service was friendly.

Great environment, location is perfect and the live music is key to a place like this. Most things were great except the service. Plenty of drink options, but they are delivered with attitude.

Always a good time the food is great. The service is amazing and the ambience is relaxing. If you're feeling overwhelmed inside, you can always go relax at the lake right outside. You can't beat that happy hour

Ashley has the best drinks hands down in Big Bear! Check her out. The lemon drops , try them! She has the most welcoming personality!

I swear I do more here than just drink -- but honestly, it's a great spot for that too. Libni, Karla, Aurora, and the whole crew make you feel like family. Make this a regular stop on your trip to Big Bear. I brought my sister last week and my dad this week, and I'm already lining up more family for next time :)

Really enjoyed Stillwell's for breakfast!! My favorite breakfast place we experienced in Big Bear. The service was excellent with Brenda!! She was attentive and our BEST server in Big Bear!! The food was great and perhaps the reason I say our best breakfast experience is that the patio is serene, quiet, beautiful with a little pond. We loved it!!

Stopped in only bar I've been to where the bartender didn't know how to make the drinks. I asked how much cocktails were and was just told it varies no prices were given = red flag ! Lol anyway Ashley with some help made us some drinks. Just a couple things though when I put my card down for the tab after my drinks I had forgotten but as a bartender she should have known my card was being held. Anyway I paid with another card and pu my card on hold the next day. I also wasn't shown a breakdown of charges $114 for 5 drinks , 4 peanut butter whiskey shots and an order of Calimari.I asked for a recept for a breakdown of charges but was told no receipt was available. Oh well just seemed kinda shady to me.

Found this little gem while on a walk and it's truly the best in Big Bear. The bartender, Ashley is super cool and makes fantastic drinks - obsessed with the lemon drop!

Really nice spot to grab a drink at the bar. Try the green tea shot. Ashley at the bar had a good play list playing out on the patio and she was very delightful.

I ordered the apple tart which was really good. Service: A1. The bartender Armando was so friendly and welcoming. Also told me to come back because it gets busy from 7pm-12am (I went on a Friday). I really liked his vibe and the vibe of the bar overall. Ambience: it's clean and seemed organized for a bar. There's games there and a pool table. Everyone was so friendly. I had a few people talk to me and gave me some tips and recommendations on where to go in Big Bear, as I'm not from there. I also liked that they are dog friendly. I saw 3 other dogs there too. I would definitely come back & recommend this place to my friends.

The DJ played F*** Trump (some techno song that just repeated the words Fuc* Trump) then they played the Barney theme song/Yankee Doodle. Like what kind of bar is this? Which I believe may have been requested by some guest in the bar. When a girl from our group requested Toby Keith courtesy of the red white and blue the DJ told her no he would not play that. It blew our mind that the dj would play childish songs in a a bar. But to each their own. It did not hurt us to leave and spend our money at the next bar. I will say the bartenders were rad! I believe the DJ is to blame here not the bar itself. If you are looking for a bar with wonderful party vibes try Murray's or Whiskey Dave's

There were a a handful of people waiting to be seated when we arrived and the couple before us were seated at the last outdoor patio table available. The hostess told us that we could go upstairs to the bar area and sit anywhere we wanted and a server would be with us directly. So that's what we did. As a side note, the whole vibe of the restaurant was very comfortable and the building itself is pretty remarkable. Water and menus were delivered within minutes of us selecting our table, and our waitress Victoria maintained that same level of attentiveness the whole time we were there. The biggest shortcoming of so many restaurants in and around Big Bear is the bar and their specialty drinks. But this place just slam dunked on every other restaurant we've ever tried over the years - and not just for the drinks. I love a good old fashioned but until last night, every place I'd been to served their old fashioned in a glass full of ice like I was getting a soda at a fast food drive through. Not here. A proper big block ice cube made the "Maple old fashioned" (hands down) the best drink I've ever had. (I think they've got like 7 or 8 different varieties of the old fashioned and I will definitely be back to try them.) Our potato skins appetizer was on another level and that was before our entrees even arrived. My beef dip sandwich was perfect as was wifey's chicken Scaloppini. The timing of food arriving and the periodic check-ins from our waitress was flawless. We spoke briefly with the bartender, Doug (who may or may not have been one of the owners) to express how much we enjoyed our drinks and dinner. The hallmark of a well-run restaurant is that everyone who works there conducts themselves like it's their name on the sign out front. That's exactly what we got from everyone involved. Whoever is in charge of the kitchen staff deserves a Michelin star rating. The rest of the staff is equally impressive. I can't say enough about this place. Excellent drinks, excellent food and dynamite service. If you want a top-notch dining experience in Big Bear, this should be your first and only choice. From now on, it'll be mine.

We're a family of four with a well-behaved standard poodle, so we completely understood that our seating options were limited. What we didn't understand was watching two other families with dogs arrive after us and get seated well before us, along with what felt like half of Big Bear. Our "table is ready" text finally arrived 53 minutes after we joined the waitlist. If the real wait is an hour, just say an hour. At least then we could have taken our dog for a hike, grabbed lunch somewhere else, and possibly returned in time for our table.

Checked out the menu out of curiosity and it seemed like it'd be a good place for a special bday dinner for the hubby since there were veggie and gluten free options. We'd made reservations for one of the firepit tables, but since it was offseason midweek there were plenty of tables available. We started things off with a couple of cocktails--the Amoro highball for me (redolent of fresh mint, refreshing) and the Old Fashie for the hubby (a good classic old fashioned). For food we ordered the Whipped eggplant dip (vegan) served with crudité and grilled focaccia. Good, but the dip wasn't all that flavorful, except for the chili oil. I guess we were expecting something more like babaganouj, which it wasn't. We also got a Margherita pizza with gluten free crust, nonna style (addition of Calabrian chili for some extra spice). I have to say that they had the best gluten free crust ever! Thick, nice and crunchy on outside and pillowy soft and slightly elastic on the inside. The spicy tomato sauce was great, as were the mozzarella and fresh basil. A single pizza was plenty big for both of us. Great service all around, from helpful hostess to our server. They knew it was the hubby's bday and they came out with a complimentary soft serve with candle for him and sang! Very sweet. Next time I'd sit at the counter on the patio facing the lake for best and unobstructed views of the lake and breathtaking sunsets. Our fire pit was lovely but got quite warm on an early summer evening. We'd come back just for the Sunset cocktails!

Our server, Alan was sweet but didn't know what "aldenté" meant for my Clam Linguine. Sadly, the lnguini came overcooked. When one of my girlfriend went to tip the musician and asked if he could stay another hour and she would pay him, he said yes but needed to clear it with Midean. My friend was treated rudely by her. As an owner of any establishment, service, service, service is top priority to your customers. This was not the case. Midean's demeanor was short and annoyed. Mind you, restaurant hour closes at 8:00 pm. However, the bar closes at 9:00 pm. Towards the end of our dinner, it felt hurried. Additionally, staff never complimented a dessert with a candle and a birthday song. But Alan offered to box our leftovers. Jerry, the husband owner was nice. But we know who wears the pants - the mean old lady. Menu prices in other upscale restaurants, server offers these services. Next day, my mediocre, less than 6 pieces of clam linguini was not packed. Went into town to grab a bite to eat before heading down the mountain. Keep in mind, Corkage fee per bottle here is $30 per bottle. Typically, elsewhere is $15-20. Beware. Upon discovering my clam linguini was not packed, My friend who graciously paid the $600+ bill called and spoke to Midean ( elderly owner lady); again, the owner was super defensive and pushed the responsibility on us for not packing the leftovers ourselves. Polite response from my friend to Midean, "your server Alan offered to pack our leftovers," shifting the responsibility back to the restaurant. When asked if my food could be replaced, a rude response was a stern no, it's not our fault! I asked how will you address this incident to your staff? She said, " Will tell server never to offer packing leftovers to customers." Furthermore, she told us to never come back. Wowzer - indeed, we will be taking our business elsewhere and warn others not to experience your rudeness.
