I went with the bartender's choice mocktail, which was well crafted, while he ordered an espresso martini and enjoyed it. The drinks were reasonably priced, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the staff was welcoming despite us arriving so close to closing time. The space itself is cozy, with both indoor seating and an outdoor patio. Another plus is there's plenty of parking. Overall, a it's a solid neighborhood cocktail bar with a relaxed vibe. Their website says CATFISH PIECES, it's literally HALF of what a standard 3 piece catfish order would be at other places, so ONE AND HALF catfish. Absolutely ridiculous. Mind you the $27 does not include a drink, bread, or a daiquiri in the total price, just the food that you see in the picture, sans some of the fries that I ate. If I ever come back here again, it would only be for the daiquiri. I was disappointed in the catfish flavor, size and cost. I will wait until I visit home to get a better value catfish plate and eat elsewhere in the Houston area, because $27 for this is crazy. We were filled to excess by the food, and found it difficult to imagine having space for drinks on top of that. An interesting experience, but we are unlikely to return at this price point. I think that I have decided that tasting menus just aren't my cup of tea, and I really prefer to go to a place where I can select exactly what I want.
