The last time we went to the location is Nassau Bay it was so chaotic I didn't want to go back. When we arrived there was only one other table of customers, so there's no worry about chaos here. I fear this place won't survive unless something changes. There's table service here, much the same menu as #1 and the food is as good, maybe better. I was very impressed with the little cafe. The food was fresh the restaurant atmosphere was nice. It was not as busy as I thought it would be during lunch so the service was great. I had the turkey croissant and it was very good. You could tell it was not a boxed croissant and it had just the right crisp. I would definitely get it again. If you want a nice calm lunch without the crowd, this is the place to go. There is a lot of variety so I'll be back again to try something new. read more

Stopped in based on other reviews and close to appointment nearby. Breakfast all day, ordered Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise sauce and side of Bistro hashbrowns. Not impressed. Hasbrouck were not edible...stale or old taste to them and too crunchy on outer edges. Almost seemed like they had been pre-cooked and microwaved before plating. Considering it is a "signature" side, I expected them to be edible. As for the eggs Benedict it: eggs were perfectly cooked, English muffin was fresh and good, however the dish was covered in some sort of spice like paprika and was overkill. Doubt I would return. At the end when asked how is everything, I mentioned the hash browns, she said so sorry and nothing else. Then asked if I'd like a "to go" for them. They could have at least offered to adjust ticket for price of the side. read more

Don't let this little hole in the wall fool you. Everything is so delicious. The restaurant is very very clean. Everything from the ceiling tiles to the floor is spotless. My vanilla latte was prepared perfectly. The presentation of your meal on the plate is quite an eye catcher. With my soup I received some large croutons on the side. I had almost finished my soup then decided to take a bite of the croutons. Wow All chickenthese croutons were seasoned specifically for the delicious creamy homemade vegetable soup. While speaking to the waitress I was told that everything from the croutons, soups to the croissants are all home made here in the kitchen. The background music is elevator/doctors office music. My only request would be the music to be not quite so loud. To most it would not be loud but I really don't like hearing music while I'm trying to eat anyways. But that's just me. I was a little disappointed they don't open before eight, but ok. I had the two scrambled eggs, sausage patties and hash browns with coffee and a glass of milk. The service was within five minutes, and the service pleasant enough. I liked the fact the hash browns were in sort of a lump crab form and not greasy, with some chives added. Coffee was above par, tending towards strong. I told the server that I enjoy giving business to local non franchise restaurants, because as Texas grows in population you're going to see more out of state franchises like Carl's Jr., Del Taco, and White Castle. Several breakfast options from waffles to omelettes and other breakfast plates. Service was quick and food was hot. I really enjoyed the Mediterranean omelet and hash browns. I recommend the buttery, flaky croissant - perfect with a drizzle of honey. Coffee was good. Place was clean. I will return to try the waffles. read more

let me say this first, great food and homemade croissants! I really like this place but when I saw 3 groups leave because no one approached us or to get names for a list- bothers me. Great place for breakfast. But when it gets the least bit busy its clear there is no manager/leader. No one gets names of people waiting. No one approaches you to either welcome you or place your name on a list. I really don't blame the workers as they are busy making it work. To me it looks like an absentee owner just hiring workers - not giving training and clearly no leader/supervisor. I watched three different parties wait for about 5 min and then leave. One had turkey she said hers was oK; 2 had chicken, meat was funny tasting and dry. My friend splurged on MeAtloaf, took 2 bites and said II had a bad funky taste , she only ate her spinach and chips; never again! When we left the cook was outside smoking in the front of the restaurant Canda the waitress didn't know anything I ask for ranch they don't even. All these other reviews must be paid reviews. The Belgian waffle I ordered was over cooked dark brown with an oily burned after taste. The hash browns my mother had are burnt I don't know how she ate as much of them as she did!? Croissants are supposed to be golden buttery but this was like the hash browns over cooked with a charred taste! My fathers chicken parm is just dry as can be. I took these photos of the stuff we still had on the table the rest I just let them take it away before I thought to take pics. Table service was not good at all but I don't blame the two teenage boys who are just not experienced but rather the lack of training from the management of this restaurant! The manager who I assume is the manager came out once to get a drink for herself and went back into the kitchen area to sit back there clueless to her restaurant and customers. She can be seen from my table just sitting there in the kitchen in plain clothes with no hairnet on either. Will not come again. The two things that were good were the scrambled eggs and pan sausage but everyone can do better and make that at home rather than pay for the lousy service and burnt foods! read more

The food was great!! I ordered the Belgium Waffle Combo and the food was on point (the coffee was pretty watered down) We place our order and 20 minutes pass. I ask for a coffee refill which takes 6 minutes to get back to me. Finally after another 10 minutes I get MY food because they just started on my boyfriend's order. Also, the waitress never came and checked on us. Mind you there were only about 10 other people there ( about 3 families). Opened late. We had to seat ourselves and get our own menus. Obviously, Staff had shown up late. The waitress than informed us they were only taking cash as the system was down. This is my all time favorite place to come to for Breakfast. They also serve lunch and dinners (but the restaurant closes at 3 pm). My favorite dinner entree that I get for lunch is the meatloaf. It is really great tasting and better than a lot of restaurants. The service is Excellent. The waitresses "Catalina", "Liliana" & the others are pleasant & make you feel welcome. Good value for your money. The food is purely wonderful. Their coffee is very good - better than Starbucks. And as an added specialty - they have the absolute best & several varieties of Croissants. My favorite croissant is the coconut. I come here at least 3 times a week. Just as an FYI - the waitresses know my name and know my usual order.. I love this restaurant. I make this dish quite often and I think the packets of sauce one can buy at the store tastes better. I have been to this location several times and continue to have problems with the food. I explicitly asked for well done toast on both BLTs and after getting home I realized the bread was not toasted at all. One was supposed to have well done/crispy bacon but of course it was chewy. Seems like there is a breakdown in communication, either waitstaff doesn't understand the customer or the kitchen isn't getting the order correct. Let me first say this was not my first time here. The previous visits the food was good and the service decent. We tried going back during Covid and they were understandably closed. Well today was my first and last visit back here. I ordered the BLTE Benedict. Big mistake. The bacon was a RAW translucent floppy soggy mess of disgustingness. I asked the server if I could get some crispy bacon, and told him I couldn't eat it's because it was raw. He stood there for a moment looking puzzled and muttered something through his mask that I could not understand or hear, then walked away. 5 minutes later he comes back with an empty plate in his hand, just standing/ staring at me. I was wondering where the crispy bacon was. Then it hit me- he wanted me to scoop my soggy raw hollandaise sauced up bacon mess on to his plate with my fork so he could crisp it up. I stared at him for a second in disbelief then picked up the heap of raw pork and set it on his plate. When he came back it was clearly microwaved, one piece was crispy and dried out- similar to the dog treats that resemble bacon. The other too pieces were still soggy and inedible. I was grossed out at this point. I would have just eaten it without the bacon but The poached eggs were not poached. They were broken, watery and runny over easy- served on a soggy cold English muffin that resembled a doughy pancake. To top it all off the hollandaise sauce was cold and sour. Leading me to believe it was old. I did eat the hashbrowns which were decent. Oh and the lettuce was good....... Not coming back. Sadly I think Covid did this place in. Not sure if they lost their cooks or servers or what but this was terrible. read more
