Came here for Sunday brunch with my bestie for Houston restaurant week. I got the strawberry prosciutto crustini which was kinda soggy not that enjoyable. My entree I got the eggs in purgatory which was good and probably better for me however I'm still regretting not getting the tiramisu French toast. My friend got the brisket eggroll thing which was delicious , and she got the burrata BLT which was good but soggy from the burrata, the potatoes that came with it was perfect. I love Bergamos as a spa. - but always a failure on the service wait staff on BISTRO 313. They need to train their staff - for a nice place like this- no attention to details and missing proper decorum. The drinks are great but service is 1/5 scale. You come here to be pampered in the spa but their Bistro is terribly managed . What a shame. They should train their wait staff better how to service the diners . Very slow service and lacking ability to deliver. - I had a salad with crabmeat . It was sloppy- overly dressed salad and not fresh /cold it was like on the counter not refrigerated-and Crab cake was mushy. The wait staff are poorly trained to service diners. My friend had her birthday brunch here last month. She likes Bistro 313 a lot, but also chose to have brunch here because they were participating in HRW. Bistro is connected to Bergamos Spa. There isn't a sign for the restaurant from the road (however there is one right above the entrance), so it's easy to pass it if you're not looking for the Bergamos sign. The moment you walk in, the ambiance is nice and calm. We had looked at the HRW menu online and had a general idea of what we wanted. Unfortunately some of the menu items on the printed HRW menu were different. The online menu offered goat cheese and bacon jam crostini as well as smashed fingerling potatoes; however neither of these items were on the menu. The in house menu had feta and bruschetta crostini in place of the goat cheese and bacon jam crostini and they offered a turkey avocado club sandwich that was not listed on the online menu. Our server explained that they ran out of some of the ingredients for the goat cheese crostini and I believe she also mentioned there were some issues because of ingredient shortages. I had a watermelon mimosa and it was really good. Since it was watermelon syrup it was $9. Had I done one of the juice options, it would have been $5.They had quite a few syrup options to choose from. 1st course: The Feta Bruschetta Crostini was tasty. I liked the balsamic vinaigrette that was drizzled on it. 2nd course: The Migas were phenomenal! Not only were the eggs scrambled with the tortilla chips, it also had a fried egg on top. Very flavorful! I loved it! Other items that were ordered from the group: -Chicken and Waffles: Some of the ladies ordered the Cereal Milk Chicken Waffles (made with Fruity Pebbles milk), but they subbed regular chicken and waffles in place of the cereal milk. -Watermelon Salad -Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes -Banana Pudding French Toast Our servers were really nice and attentive during our meal. My coworkers and I came here after work for happy hour. (Thursday around 4:30ish) happy hour doesn't start until 5pm. There was a total of 6 of us, my coworker and I got there before everyone else and got a table. We were sat down, talking... then when the door to the kitchen opens the man and woman working (they're in the kitchen) stare at my coworker and I very awkwardly and say something to each other. They looked surprised that we were there and it was a weird moment. But anyway... We ordered drinks and appetizers- everything was very tasty! Aside from the awkward stare down with the two staff members, this place was pretty nice. Our waitress was very friendly and full of great recommendations. I'll probably be back soon! read more

This was a great place to eat lunch and I would be eager to come back and try it for dinner. It is located inside the Bergamos Spa. Very nice! We came on a Saturday during brunch time. We had made a reservation beforehand, but there were open tables. The menu was small, but offered a good variety of items. My group of 7 ordered the whipped feta dip & goat cheese and bacon jam appetizers. Both apps had great flavor and tasted delicious! For the main entree, my husband and I both ordered the turkey avocado club. I ordered mine with pasta salad on the side and he ordered his with fries. It was a pretty large sandwich and I was only able to eat half. Our waitress (forgot her name - sweet black girl) was professional, friendly, and attentive. She brought out a piece of hummingbird cake to celebrate my friend's birthday. We would definitely like to return if given the opportunity!! read more

Thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant! It's kind of squirreled away in a corner of Friendswood but the building is lovely and the interior ambiance really has an Italian villa in Texas feel. Food was delicious. Paired with a nice wine. My son ate his entire hamburger, sweet potato fries were delicious, I had shrimp and garlic fries - couldn't finish it but loved it. Maybe the shrimp were a tad over-breaded but they were yum anyway. My mom thoroughly loved the crab cake and salad. All in all just great - and the staff was very nice. read more

Here is a picture of the food we never got. We waited ALMOST 1.5 HOURS and we never got our food. We got up and left - everyone else around us who got there AFTER we did had gotten their food. They didn't even get my friend her drink the entire time we waited. And my friend who was there first never had anyone acknowledge her existence for 15 minutes... until I got there. My dad and I went to Bistro 313 and met up with his wife and friend for their lunch break. We arrived around 20 minutes earlier than they did to order appetizers because we were warned this place had slow service. Boy, were the right! The ambiance of this place is super calm since it's attached to a spa, however, that doesn't mean the service has to be so slow. It took over 40 minutes for the appetizers to come out, and the main dishes also took a while as well. In addition, the food was good, but nothing special, with not many options from a standard menu. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Wrap with sweet potato fries, and it decent. There was a good amount of pesto flavor in it, the chicken was cooked nicely, and the fontina cheese added some creaminess, however, the wrap was super greasy, and I found it a little bit too salty. I'm glad we stumbled upon Bistro 313. Was a bit shocked as we were driving down FM 2351 thinking umm are we going to the spa ? Is the restaurant for general public... pleased to say it is open to the public and was hesitant to write this review (admittedly selfishly bcz we don't want everyone coming from the City to invade our local spot) but I guess we'll share :-) !!! So disappointing. We drove an hour to come here for HRW only be extremely disappointed. This was kne of the worst HRW experiences we had. Our server with the pink hair was so aloof, rude, and extremely slow. It took us 15 minutes to be greeted and 32 minutes for our drinks to come out. The food was as disappointing as the poor service. The fruity pebbles waffles only had fruity pebbles sprinkled on top and not baked into the waffle, which would have made more sense. The fried chicken strips was great! The banana pudding French toast was dry, thin, and rubbery. It didn't have any banana flavor. We ordered pistachio tiramisu to go. It wasn't pistachio tiramisu. It was regular tiramisu. The lady fingers were dry. It was awful. When we questioned where the pistachios were, she said "they must be out of them." The setver returned with a small container of pistachios and said, "here's yout toppings and flung them on the table. It was an overall terrible experience. Please save yourself the disappointment and do not go here. I know I will never return and I'll be sure to tell anyone I care about not to visit this place. read more

They only assigned one person for our large party and that poor girl...the appetizers came out pretty quickly, but the main course took another hour and half after that. We showed up around 6:30 and didn't leave till almost 10. We were there during restaurant week/month and she assumed we were taking our desserts home when we already stayed we wanted it for there. Have been for lunch a couple of times in the past. It was good. Tried it for dinner and loved it. Seriously, that crab cake is the best. Lots of crab meat and no excessive bread filler. Delish. And, nice surprise their appetizers are 1/2 off from 4-6. A couple of them are excluded but a nice selection is included on the 1/2 off. A previous review said there should be a dress code. Please -- you are in Friendswood, a bedroom community of mostly families. Nobody is dressed shabby but casual works and keeps them in business. Restaurants in Friendswood have a hard time making it. People want the restaurants but at the time don't patronize them regularly enough due to busy family life. This one is excellent. Laid back, relaxed with good food and a great happy hour. We went to Bistro 313 after church today. After we were seated the waitress came to take drink orders. 2 of us ordered hot tea, but there was no green tea and no black tea. I finally asked for hot water and produced my own tea bag. My husband asked for a latte, but we were told the coffee pot was not working. When we ordered, we were informed they had no biscuits or doughnuts. Had to start asking what they did have to eat instead of relying on the menu. When the bill came, they charged us for someone else's meal. Should have let that go since it was much less than ours. We were not impressed and will not return. read more

Went for the HRW Sunday Brunch. Made reservations via the link specific to this restaurant on the HRW website. We arrived and they couldn't find our reservation. After about 10 minutes they found it but the hostess had seated another party under our reservation. We were offered a complimentary mimosa but declined as the waiting area was small and crowded. After about 10 more minutes they did seat us at a very nice table. We then ordered our drinks. Mimosas were very good and they had a great selection of flavors. Also a good value for the price. 3 of us ordered the HRW menu and the other one ordered a hamburger. Sorry to say, the only thing that any of us would order again was the Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes. All other offerings were passable but nothing special. Oh, and the burger had to be sent back as both sides of the bun were slathered with mayonnaise which was requested to be left off. We had a Christmas Eve lunch here. Reserved a table for 7 at 11:00. The doors were still locked when we got there. I stopped someone going in and told them of out reservations. Someone came to unlock the door and apologized for losing track of time. Service was absolutely horrible. We had to stop our waitress to ask for anything we needed. No refills offered; any extra drink or extra order we had to get her attention and try to ask for what we needed as she walked away! Some at our table wanted desert, but we were all ready to just get out of there. We left a very generous tip since it was Christmas time, but definitely will not be going back. We have been here before and the food was always good, so we went for our anniversary and could not have been more disappointed. The hostess and server were good - prompt and helpful. I started with the soup of the day (Mexican corn and Poland chowder) and it was amazing - great start. My wife had the filter medium rare - it came well done. How do you even do that? Sent it back - waited 15 minutes and it came back blood rare. She sent it back and ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo which was ok but barely seasoned. By the time she finishes her meal, we had all been done for 30 minutes. At least the chicken was cooked well. I had the chicken piccata which was great the last time I was there. It was so tough it couldn't be cut with a dinner knife and had no lemon flavor at all. I should have sent it back, but I just ate the mashed potatoes and asparagus - which were fine. I spoke with the manager who never really apologized but gave us a coupon for a free appetizer at our next visit - which we left on the table, and offered a free dessert. I gave the place 2 stars only because of the soup and the service, otherwise it would have been 1.
