Such good food! Stopped here two days in a row while passing through Cle Elum. The first time was for breakfast and I got the meat lover's scramble (I think), quite tasty! On the way back I got a locomotive sandwich on gluten free bread and it was incredible! I am definitely going to stop for another one the next time I pass through there. Very quaint little spot for good sandwiches, coffee, and more... we have hit this spot every time we come because its so tasty. With all the cute "cabin" signs, they really need one that reads "line forms here" as when it's busy and hot it turns into utter chaos with people ordering takeaway sandwiches - passing the laminated menus around, pushing through to get to the bathroom, and trying to join the line from every angle. Action inside the kitchen is at least as chaotic. The sandwiches and ice cream were amazing, though, and they do have a great selection of gluten free baked goods. We came upon this spot while passing through town and we LOVED IT. They have some amazing healthy options that we always look for on the road and rarely find. We came by here for lunch on our way back to Seattle from a weekend camping. We were recommended this place by a friend. Upon entering we noticed that it was cozy and comfortable. Our 'welcome' by the staff was warm and friendly. We all had sandwiches for lunch. I ordered a Turkey BLT for $8.50 and was surprised to be told that, upon the delivery of my sandwich to our table, there wasn't any more bacon and was given extra cheese instead. I didn't make a fuss but thought that the bacon was a pretty important part of my sandwich and they should have known whether to '86' the item for lack of bacon or 'make it right' by offering something else to compensate for not having bacon. Here comes the kicker: a few gals entered right after we received our order and also ordered a Turkey BLT, BUT they weren't told that there wasn't any bacon. They got bacon!!! At this point, I'm feeling a little slighted, upset, and am unsure as to why they decided not to put bacon in my TBLT. I am usually very understanding in situations like this (almost to a fault), but I can't help but wonder that perhaps my skin color made a bigger impression than my friendly demeanor. read more

We were looking for a quick lunch in Cle Elum & saw a porch full of happy people at Stella's, so decided to give it a try. So glad we did! They have a small but creative menu of salads, soups, and sandwiches, delicious freshly brewed iced tea, and several very tempting baked goods as well as ice cream to satisfy your sweet tooth. What a gem! We wandered in last weekend after pulling into town for gas and something to eat. We were greeted at the door by "Ralph" the owner. Friendly and accommodating, he told us about his business which he named after his grandmother. Great food, wonderful service. Felt like home. After having dealt with some high falutin' food providers in the last 2 wks (and having them attempt to roger us service and food wise) we wanted to just blob in a cafe and have a coffee and a pastry and be treated like a human. The ladies at Stella's did the right thing with us and some more. Fantastic coffee and chocolatey mocha and some great store made pastries. Plus they actually gave a flying fig which was a refreshing change. Friendly, prompt and a real treat in a area where you don't really expect it.
