I ordered bananas with my pancake and there were like 4 slices but as they put it down Kevin was already on it to get more lol Hubby got shrimp n grits and said they were delicious with creamy grits but needed a bit of seasoning. The parking lot is small but there is plenty of street parking-you may to just walk a little bit (allows more calories at breakfast)! Would have given five stars if only based on the service that Deb W provided. We arrived on 6/10/26 about 4 mins before 7:00. Deb greeted us with a smile on her face and song in her heart. Told us to sit anywhere and took our drink order. She was gracious and welcoming. I noticed other customers coming in looking for Deb and she acknowledged all of them. Deb kept checking on us and all the others throughout our meal. The breakfast was good as well. Now for the not so good part which caused the three stars. While Deb was getting our drinks the manager went up to Deb and admonished Deb her for letting us in a few minutes early. We were able to see and hear the manager. It made us feel uncomfortable and upset that Deb was in trouble. We told her we will wait a minute until 7:00 to place the order. Kept watching the manager who never really smiled. We heard that Trip's Diner was the place to go in downtown so I went there last night and had the Fried "Steak", two scrambled eggs, hash browns, and rye toast. It is always crazy packed the 3 times I have tried. This places an incredible pressure on kitchen and servers with hundreds of variations in orders and personalities. I am 0-3 actually getting what I ordered. What I received has been this far good enough to not write it off when I am in the mood for their offerings. I wish I knew how they put that together. It was so good. Sometimes when you call the restaurant they will tell you how to make it and in what proportions.
