Had breakfast here this morning and Kevin was our server. Great diner food and quick service with a smile. I ordered bananas with my pancake and there were like 4 slices but as they put it down Kevin was already on it to get more lol Hubby got shrimp n grits and said they were delicious with creamy grits but needed a bit of seasoning. We shared the pancake and it's definitely huge but I wouldn't say it's a hubcap unless it's a small tire. Nice flavor, average pancake overall. Egg platter with white cheese grits and wheat toast. Again pretty decent but average overall. Quick trip here and I'd come back.

We came here for the outdoor seating since have a little dog with us. The weather was perfect this morning so perfect location for sitting outside & in the shade. The food is consistently good, I had an egg white omelette that was outstanding with their famous potatoes and my honey had two fried eggs with potatoes. Let's talk about their killer potatoes- they roast them then cut them up and then either pan fry them or bake them again. They are perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. So good! My honey says," they have the best coffee in town!" Service was great- cheerful, funny, accommodating. speedy to turn around our beverages and food with a smile & great sense of humor. This is a locals favorite. Highly recommend

I have been watching this diner on social media and finally had time to take my grandson and daughter with me to have breakfast! The parking lot is small but there is plenty of street parking-you may to just walk a little bit (allows more calories at breakfast)! We didn't have a wait to be seated outside and it was a beautiful morning! Our server Rebecca was amazing-she had a great personality and took good care of us! My daughter ordered an omelette with fruit and toast and it was such a generous portion she shared it with my 2 year old grandson! I had the burrito buster and it was huge but delicious! The prices aren't bad at all and the menu is huge! It's definitely worth a repeat visit!

Great little diner the only negative for me was we couldn't find parking and had to wait for people to leave . Food was great and waitress was so sweet ! Great diner

Avocado Toast- Whole Wheat toast. Fresh smashed avocado, sliced tomatoes, an egg your way and everything seasoning.

Excellent little St. Pete Florida treasure. Menu has a great variety of options all of which are on the spectrum of traditional breakfast items. Service was great- server was friendly and attentive. Small diner but cute with historical local stories and memorabilia in the tables and on the walls as you enter. Small parking lot maybe fits 15 cars so keep that in mind when coming to visit. You pay at the register and not the table - they take all payment types. Overall loved this place, will definitely be back!

Food: Better than most diners these days! You can tell they went more unique with the recipes vs run of the mill. I had the chicken and biscuits with a side of scrambled eggs. I wanted to try the chicken and waffles but they don't have 100% real maple syrup which is always a deal breaker for me, p.s. offer it for an up-charge ;) This I landed on chicken and biscuits and they were delicious. The chicken had a nice peppery and flavorful breading. I do wish more sausage gravy came with the meal... why because I wasn't expecting 2 biscuits with the split breast. Very good, and I'd go back for this. Service: Excellent service! The waiter checked in with us regularly and the host even let us pick a seat near an outlet as I was there, working during breakfast with someone on my laptop. Ambiance: Classic diner vibes with outside seating too! Has a bar front seating area as well.

Major disappointment on the salads. Was really looking forward to a crispy romaine salad and instead got soggy wilted lettuce, not worthy of eating. Also, adding to my disappointment was trying to eat my meal while fighting several flies going for my food. I'm eating inside in A/C, so why I'm being attacked by flies? The 2-stars were for the French onion soup that was hot and flavorful. Parking behind the diner helps.

    It's a diner!

I had the meatloaf dinner with real, skin--on mashed potatoes, rather bland collards, great garlic Texas style toast. The sauce on the meatloaf was tasty, but I would have preferred a bit more zip and the collards lacked the depth of flavor found in real southern cooking. The meatloaf itself was at least a full half pound and was jucy and full of assorted flavors. The iced tea actually tasted like iced tea. The price Mas reasonable at $13.95. The ambiance was that of a typical dinner. The service was friendly and efficient. The place was packed and parking is space. Order their fried string onions when you come...the merit being in the restaurant hall of fame.

It has a unique and eclectic ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was efficient and friendly, and overall I personally enjoyed most the food I ordered. I got the cold brew to drink as I needed a little pick-me-up, love that they had this on the menu. I ordered the spiced mahi mahi which came with rice and a seasonal vegetable. The rice was pretty bland, but it was cooked well and I used the citrus sauce from the fish to flavor the rice and it worked nicely. The market veggies were squash and cucumber which had no seasoning and were a bit rubbery. Loved the flavors of the fish with the sauce, but it was a bit dry on the inside. Not terribly, but more than I would have expected, adding in the sauce helped. The french fries were the bigger kind, which I love, and they were really good. The onion rings were almost all breading and the onion made up a very small portion. The calamari was also very small and mostly fried breading instead of the actual seafood inside. Overall, they were very good at accomodating our large group, lovely service and staff. The group concensus on food was hit or miss depending on what people ordered. So, I'd say definitely check them out and try the menu so you can decide for yourself.

Surprisingly mild on flavor despite the toppings, and it's a BIG boy... which I know some people love, but I tend to prefer a smash burger so I'll take partial responsibility for that note! The fries, however, were excellent... textured, crispy, exactly how fries should be. The real standout of the visit was the chilaquiles (the chef's brunch special). It ran a little dry, but the flavors more than made up for it. We started with the pull apart Bread that is absolutely a must get and delicious. The one thing is, it is quite large, so it is a good size for 4 to 5 people, it would be a bit overwhelming for only two hence why I say come with a group. We also got the chopped salad, which I thought was good, but not great. People rave about the Caesar salad, which last time I found to be just OK, but I would probably get the Caesar over the chopped. That's a personal preference. Then we got the vodka pasta and the black truffle gnocchi. The vodka pasta, again, is an absolute must get. I love Housemade pasta, and this one is cooked perfectly. The vodka sauce isn't spicy, and I hate spice. So this is one of my favorite dishes. I didn't like the gnocchi. I found it to be too cheesy and not pillowy enough. I appreciate the black truffles, but this is one that I would skip in the future. Then we got the dry aged prime strip, with broccolini, Yukon, mashed potato, and mushrooms. The mushrooms are still, my absolute favorite, I would absolutely get it every time. Yukon potatoes were delicious, but I could feel my arteries clogging while I ate it. It was so creamy and so buttery. The broccoli was good, but not something that I feel like I have to get. The steak was amazing. We got it medium rare, and I felt like it was cooked perfectly. I loved it. For dessert I got the amaretto cookie gelato. If you don't eat pork, all the desserts other than gelato and sorbet have a pork stabilizer in it, which is disappointing. The gelato was quite good though. For my drink, I got the Mezcal margarita I had last time. It is no longer in the menu. It was just OK this time, it would've been better with the salt rim, but it came without one. Next time I'll try another drink on their menu. Valet is $15 which is great because I've come here for the spa and parking is much more expensive if you're not going to Elliot Asher. This restaurant is beautiful and service is superb. Dinner will take a couple hours and Reservations do fill up so you should book them early. I would definitely recommend coming to eat here if you're looking for a nice night out.
