At times, being his patient feels more like being a test subject than receiving expert care. He often appears unsure of himself and does not seem fully prepared for advanced procedures such as crowns. This lack of experience can leave patients bearing the consequences, both in terms of pain and costs. The office itself is equipped with impressive new technology, including 3D machines that allow crowns to be completed in a single day. While this sounds like an excellent advancement, in less experienced hands it can pose risks. For example, a crown procedure may unfortunately, lead to a root canal because the root is damaged while a cavity is being drilled and filled, and there may be lapses in patient care such as not ensuring proper numbing before procedure because Dr. Tran is uncertain and nervous. To be clear, Dr. Tran is genuinely personable and welcoming, but patients should exercise caution when considering more complex procedures with him.
