THE NOSE KNOWS I…read morewas facing something that had quietly become overwhelming. My nose had collapsed to the point where breathing through it was nearly impossible. Nights were restless. My ear felt constantly blocked. And the solutions I was being offered felt... drastic. One highly regarded local surgeon told me my case was so extreme that cartilage would need to be taken from my ear to rebuild my nose. He warned my nose would widen significantly and look very different. I was willing to accept that. I just wanted to breathe again. And also my hearing was lessening. I wanted to be able to hear again thinking maybe that they were related. But something in me hesitated. Then I remembered Dr. Jacob Tower. Years earlier, I had met him when he was at Lahey Clinic. A deeply respected ear, nose, and throat specialist with extraordinary skill in facial aesthetics. I reached out, and he responded immediately. From our very first conversation, everything changed. Dr. Tower didn't just see a "difficult case." He saw a better path. He explained clearly, thoughtfully, and with remarkable depth, what was actually happening, and how he could restore not just structure, but function... and quality of life. He invited me to come see him right away at The Spiegel Center. What he offered was simpler. Smarter. And far more elegant. I booked surgery on the spot. Three weeks ago today, he performed it. I remember waking up. For the first time in years, breathing fully through my nose. Effortlessly. Quietly. Completely. There were no overwhelming nasal packings, no dramatic bruising. Quite nothing like I had been warned to expect. Even more surprising... everything started to come back to life. The pressure in my ear disappeared. My hearing sharpened. One moment I'll never forget! I heard my cat meowing from the garage while I was upstairs. I hadn't realized how much I'd been missing until that instant. I ran downstairs, ready to free the cat in the garage so many times as she would follow me in and I didn't hear her cry to come out. Unaware and muted. Yes, my nose shape changed slightly. It had to. But in the hands of Dr. Tower who is not only a surgeon but truly an artist, the result is natural, balanced, and thoughtful. Not "different" in a way that takes from you, but refined in a way that gives something back. And that's what he does. He gives people their lives back...in ways they didn't even realize they had lost. At just three weeks out, I can say without hesitation: this changed my life. My deepest respect and gratitude to Dr. Jacob Tower and his exceptional team at The Spiegel Center. I've been around aesthetics long enough to recognize true excellence when I see it. And this is it. I cannot recommend him highly enough!!

Back in 2018, I had my initial consultation with Dr. Volpe at New England Plastic Surgical &…read moreAesthetics, and I can confidently say that choosing this practice was one of the best decisions I've ever made. From the very beginning, Marcella, the office manager, was absolutely incredible. She helped me book my consultation, answered every one of my questions with care and patience, and made me feel like I was already in great hands before I even walked through the door. When I met Dr. Volpe, I knew immediately that I was in the presence of a true professional. I was there for an abdominoplasty and breast implants--I had a lot of loose skin and was feeling extremely insecure about my body. Dr. Volpe didn't just treat me like another patient; he listened to my story, understood my emotional journey, and took the time to walk me through every step of the process. He answered all of my questions (I had a whole list!), and made sure I felt informed, confident, and supported the entire way through. His expertise, knowledge, and compassion were beyond anything I could have hoped for. My results? Phenomenal. Better than I ever imagined. Dr. Volpe didn't just meet my expectations--he far exceeded them. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat, and I remain incredibly grateful for everything he has done and continues to do. Will be going back for bigger implants before he retires! Marcella continued to be a rock for me after my surgery--she helped me schedule every follow-up appointment and even called me after surgery just to check in and make sure I was doing okay. That level of care is rare and something I will never forget. To this day, I still look forward to seeing her every time I come in. She truly cares. Fast forward seven years, and I'm still a loyal patient. Their practice has expanded to include aesthetics, and I now see Stephanie regularly for lip fillers and Dysport. Before coming to her, I had gone to another provider, but from the moment I met Stephanie, I knew she was different. She took the time to understand my previous treatment history and made it a priority to get to know me and my body. Even though I wanted to go big with my lips, she approached it with caution and care, making sure it was done the right and safe way. She didn't just inject--she educated, assessed, and truly partnered with me in my aesthetic goals. Stephanie is not only incredibly skilled, but also warm, personable, and so easy to talk to. We always laugh and have the best conversations during my visits. I love seeing her! She's also constantly learning and continuing her education alongside Dr. Volpe, which speaks volumes about her commitment to excellence and her patients. Most recently, I had my first facial at their office with Antigoni--and she is an absolute gem! The sweetest and most caring person, Antigoni is clearly highly skilled in skincare. She explained everything she was doing during the facial and, even more importantly, explained why she was doing it and how each step would benefit my skin. It was more than a facial--it was an educational experience. I left not only glowing, but with most of the products she used because I was so impressed with her knowledge and recommendations! The entire team at New England Plastic Surgical & Aesthetics feels like one big, supportive family. They're professional, compassionate, and truly passionate about what they do. I recommend them without hesitation to anyone considering plastic surgery or aesthetic treatments. They've changed my life--and continue to help me feel my absolute best.

I had booked the procedure--after a consultation with the surgeon, Dr. Lee--for my friend and me, and was told by "Lisa" that "squeezing" us both in would not be a problem, since the procedure itself is very short (5 mins) and it's the numbing that takes time. When she checked us in, she seemed surprised that there were two of us, but ultimately said it was fine. It all seemed pleasant and we were excited about our treatment. Lisa then spent about 20 minutes or so with us in the treatment room, filling us in on what to expect, taking pictures, and applying the numbing cream. Three of us were making small-talk, and Lisa, who was extremely friendly, was bubbly, smiling and laughing occasionally (as we all were). She said she had to run out to get some paperwork for us, and would be right back, but she never returned. We were left waiting for what seemed like a long time, wondering where she was. We were surprised to see Dr. Lee enter the treatment room instead of Lisa. He leaned against the counter facing us (our faces covered with numbing cream), arms crossed, looking quite serious. He announced that he had something to tell us, and he was going to be completely honest because that's how he deals with his patients. (This is nearly verbatim.) We felt nervous at that point, like, ugh, after all this we are not getting our treatments. There was a lot of buildup before he finally got to the point. He said that the truth is that Lisa was not in shape to do the treatments because she was so upset about the miscommunication at check-in. And we should not say anything about this to her, "she would kill me if she knew I told you." Huh? Bottom line was that he was going to our treatments instead of Lisa. He could do one of us right away, and the other would have to wait. He would not tell us what exactly had happened at check-in that had been so upsetting. Everything seemed completely normal and pleasant to us, and there was zero indication that Lisa was in any way upset while she'd been with us in the treatment room. My friend and I were, of course, concerned about Lisa and wondered what was really going on. Surely booking miscommunications are not unusual, and when they do happen, they can be handled with maturity and professionalism. Nobody in the office would answer any questions about what had happened at check-in that resulted in her inability to do our peels. We could not understand why Dr. Lee would tell us all of this, and in such dramatic fashion, rather than simply say that there was a scheduling mixup and he would be doing the treatments, and it would take longer than expected. He could have simply apologized, and offered a discount or this special facial cream or whatever. End of story. It ended up being a strange and disturbing experience, and we were left feeling that perhaps we weren't told the whole truth. We would not return. Update: I waited three weeks to post this. Nobody from the office has followed up, even though it was clear that the incident was unpleasant for us. We loved the results of the treatment, however, and will be doing another round. But elsewhere!

Not only did his procedure not work, but it also resulted in a scar that has made it difficult to get a revision. I know that scarring is typical but the appearance is unlike what usually is expected. Normally the scar is a thin line that is done with a clean incision. This scar was raised and bumpy. He did not provide proper after care treatment advice. No antibiotic ointments, no silicon gels. My new doctor did all of that and his incision was immaculate. However, the scar left from my first surgery with JL is still there. I would not get a blepharoplasty here.
