There are no cliques and no bullying and when we have had issues we have raised them with the teachers and they have jumped on them to solve them immediately, and unlike other private schools there's no sense of entitlement from the parents or students. Also, because the school is so good at awarding scholarships not everyone is 'rich'! The school also has a great parent teacher association which offer weekly meet-ups and play dates as well as adult only events. Each class also has a WhatsApp chat group so parents can easily communicate with each other. If it sounds like one big happy family you'd be right, that's exactly what it feels like. In terms of academics my adhd child has thrived. Diagnosed at 4 we thought she would struggle but the school has been amazing at supporting her needs and accommodating her. They also offer many different seating types from a bouncy ball chair, to cushions on the floor and other such. It's very holistic and non political and offers many diverse ways of learning. They have a calming corner, encourage reading and emotional open communication as well many other ways of teaching emotional and academic intelligence. They teach in Spanish from day one and introduce Mandarin from 3rd grade, they also teach following the international Baccalaureate which is amazing. It teaches the children self confidence through weekly presentations and teaches them autonomy. Honestly this school is amazing and now it goes until 12th grade we are obsessed and so you will be too. But, sshh don't tell anyone about our secret slice of heaven.

Hands down, my husband and I feel it is best decision we have made for his education. Although it can be a bit pricey, we have felt that it has been worth every dollar. He is growing up to be a well spoken, well thought, caring little human. I love that he is bilingual, but I really love his open minded views and his eagerness to learn. The teachers... the teachers have all been so amazing. They are loving, caring and really take each student's personalities and abilities into consideration as they grow from year to year. As I said, it's not the cheapest option and we do discuss yearly if we will be renewing his tuition-- and, with each year this answer comes easier and easier with an astounding "YES". We love the school, the community, the parents and look forward to many more years at Magellan!

There are scheduled parent teacher conferences throughout the year, and a newsletter is sent out reviewing what the class is covering every week. I love the 4 and 5 year old teacher, Ms Liu. She is attentive and caring. My son's Chinese has improved with his daily lessons. He even recognizes several Chinese characters now. Ms. Xu and Ms. Zhao are always smiling in the morning when we drop off our child. The director, Terri, is very patient and responsible. The school is open many of the holidays that other schools are closed, which helps working parents. Overall, I would highly recommend this school.

Before joining,…read moreshe was reluctant to attend her previous daycare, but everything changed after we found Little Hands. She was so excited to go to school every day, and it is truly one of the best decisions we have ever made for her. Little Hands is a wonderful place for children. It is always very clean, the teachers are incredibly caring, and the curriculum is very well-designed. They cover so many subjects, including science, arts, math, Chinese, Spanish, English, sports, and the kids are constantly encouraged to be creative. We also love how they celebrate various cultural festivals and teach the children to respect and appreciate cultural differences. Our daughter graduated from Little Hands in the summer of 2023. Although we moved out of state after her graduation, we had the chance to visit Austin in the summer of 2024 due to my work. Ms. Terri welcomed us back and took wonderful care of our daughter for two weeks, just like before. Ms. Terri and her team of teachers are truly the best. They are deeply committed to the development and growth of the children and work hard to prepare them for the future. Little Hands is by far our best daycare and preschool center, and we will always come back to visit when we get the chance.

Leaving this review for prospective parents looking to chose this daycare for their child. I have…read morenot nor will I ever enroll my child in this facility for a few reasons. 1. They do not answer their phones. 2. They are vague via email. 3. Can guarantee you as the parent, will have more professionalism and better customer service than whoever responds to email inquiries. The phone thing, I do not get it and do not agree. This was the ONLY childcare facility that did not answer their phones once in the dozen times that I called looking for information. Every single other daycare I shopped (over a dozen) either picked up the phone or called me back. How can a childcare facility not answer their phone? I digress I had to ask whoever was responding via email if they weren't enrolling because they did not come out and say it, I also had to ask about a waitlist because this information was not offered (emails to be posted). When I reached out to this facility I let them know what the situation was the response was "we are not enrolling for that program at this time". I was asking about part time, no information on full time was given, nothing about a waitlist (I still don't know the answer about a waitlist because they never responded) Customer service is easy, offer all of the information up front and answer any questions. I asked for a phone call, I let them know I may be misunderstanding their tone, none of this was ever addressed or answered. I wanted to go with this facility because it worked for our price point, schedules, and location. However, if this were the last childcare facility accepting in Austin I would not choose to use them. They don't answer the phone or return calls and seem pretty subpar at answering emails. I'm not usually one to leave a review in this regard however, I feel it important to parents looking for a school for their children to know that they are incredibly unresponsive. Not something that you want to be when taking care of children. I sincerely hope that no one else encounters the same frustrations.

My son's vocabulary is more advanced than my oldest was at this age. He is very talkative and active and I attribute that to the environment here. We moved him from a large Corp daycare after they moved him up before he was ready because "he potty trained early" but honestly it was to fit their needs. Even after I asked them not to as I knew he wasn't ready and that it would be a negative experience. Thank goodness we found BELA! Mrs. Julieta and Ms. Rosie are like family and they LOVE our boy and he LOVES them. He looks forward to going to school everyday and honestly is kind of bummed on weekends. It makes me so happy to know that I can drop him off and know with total confidence that he is being taken care of, loved on, listened to and learning! The fact that he can now speak Spanish is a total plus. He knows his numbers, colors, letters, animals and so much more in both languages and is so much more confident in himself. I have seen such a positive change in him. We are truly grateful to have found this school!

Everyday, my daughter goes outside to play and does learning activities - painting, sensory activities, science experiments (which is crazy for a 7-month-old, but I'm happy to have her little brain soak it all in). AND! She does it all in Spanish! The best part is I get to see and know what she's doing via updates on the brightwheel app. Her teachers are also great. Everyone I've met has been nice and has spoken to the children gently and with care (not always the case at other daycares where I've seen orders barked at the older kids). They have been flexible and worked with the schedule tweaks I requested. We did not love my daughter's last day care, would have rated it 3 stars at best, so I am giddy that she has better care now. That being said, I toured a lot of daycares, and BELA was definitely the best at the lowest price. I feel lucky to have found this gem!
