I spoke to a member of their staff several days before the charge occurred and said we weren't really sure what were we going to do but would reach out at the beginning of the new year. Out of nowhere we get charged $309 enrollment fee. We asked that it be returned. The school says it's non refundable. If $309 is what it costs to keep my sons out of a inattentive, nonrepsonsive, lackadaisical school then it is money well spent.

Each morning starts off on the right foot thanks to Miss Lorraine, who always greets us with kindness and a smile. Miss Teresa and Miss Donna and the administrative team deserve so much credit for everything they do behind the scenes (and often right in front of us, too!). They're always approachable, professional, and eager to help. You can tell they truly love what they do their communication is clear, their leadership is steady, and they treat every family like part of one big extended family. They go above and beyond to keep everything running so beautifully. And of course, we have to give special thanks to Miss Elizabeth, who is an incredible teacher. She creates a classroom that's both structured and full of joy, where every student feels seen and supported. One of the things that stands out most about this school is the sense of stability and consistency there's very little turnover, which says so much about how well the staff are treated and how much they love being here. We're truly grateful to be part of such a positive community. Its obvious they love what they do, and you can see the attachment form as they get to care for your little one. They have a solid curriculum, even for the little babies! Every week, they would have her focus on expressions, shapes, developing the senses, and community play. The sleeping situation took a bit of getting used to. There are strict guidelines laid out by the state, that they have to follow, so while our baby didn't get a dark and quiet nap space with a sound machine and blackout curtains (due to the state mandated guidelines, you wont get that anywhere), she did develop skills to fall asleep in more difficult situations, and learned how to self soothe to sleep. WIN! The front office is also lovely. Kayla and the crew are always welcoming, and the communication is stellar and consistent. They have an app where they share daily updates on food intake, nap times, activities, and pictures of your baby. It's scary, putting your infant in child care. This place makes it easy on everyone. From the first day I left our baby, I felt she was in excellent hands. I have nothing bad to say about this place. I would happily recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nurturing place for their children.

In their reply, they referenced "previous ownership" -- THIS IMPLIES THEY ARE DISTANCING THEMSELVES FROM THE INCIDENT AND SUGGESTING IT OCCURRED BEFORE THEY TOOK OVER, which is completely false and misleading. so as of july 9,2025 there is another "new owner"?? --------- We've been with Primrose School at Vista Ridge for nearly two years with no prior issues. We always paid on time, had a good relationship with staff, and trusted them with our son's care. Unfortunately, that trust was completely broken by how they handled repeated biting incidents -- especially the most recent one. Over the past few months, my son was bitten multiple times. We accepted the incident reports and moved on, thinking these things happen. But every time I asked my son who bit him, it was always the same child. On May 6, my son did not attend school because he had a fever over the weekend and was still recovering. He returned on May 7, and that same day, he came home with a bite on his face, just under his eye. As a parent, that's terrifying. You don't get a bite like that unless a child grabs and restrains another -- this wasn't a minor mark, and it wasn't something that should ever happen under proper supervision. And yet, the child who bit him was allowed back in class the very next day like nothing happened. All I received was a vague checkbox-style report with no narrative, no real explanation, and no documentation of what steps were taken. When I told staff on May 8 that I didn't want the same child seated near my son, I was ignored. The very next day, I saw photos showing them seated right next to each other again. To make matters worse, the school's solution was to offer to transfer my son -- the victim -- to another class not even his age group, away from his friends. When I asked why the other child wasn't moved, I was told the other parents were "willing to work with the behavioral plan," while I was the one complaining -- so my child was the one they offered to relocate. I guess you can truly measure a childcare center not by how smoothly things go on a good day, but by how they handle a serious situation -- and whether they stand up for the child who was harmed. In this case, they failed completely. Since then, I've toured several other daycares in the area. Most charge around $305 per week, including meals. We were paying $370 per week at Primrose. I realize we were being overcharged for substandard supervision and no accountability. Parents, please be warned. If something goes wrong here, don't expect transparency, accountability, or any effort to truly protect your child.

Apparently that is against the rules and the owner let us know we put the staff in danger. Crazy right? My 2 year Old son was a bit for the 4th time. Yes 4. 1st time - I get it. Kids will be kids. 2nd time - make sense please don't let it happen again. 3rd time - ok let's have a quick in person meeting with the GM. Which we did just to see if there is a way we could help out. 4th time - I wrote an email saying " franchise owner - while giving my son a bath tonight I realize he had a bite mark on him. I don't see a report. " Leena the franchise owner responded with " oh no let's have a meeting. And so we are clear we DO NOT have to give you a report for 48 hours as it didn't break the skin". (not being a human being or mom and saying hey kid was bit all good I'll Get your a report. They just avoided it. That's not loving or mother like if you ask me. But to each their own) Me - " I have already met with your GM so I am not sure what another conversation is going to do but nonetheless let's do a phone call." Leena - " I can't let me know when a good time to talk is" Me - " anytime after 515pm works for me and my fiancé" Leena - then calls me at 11am and 3:45pm the next day. Leena - " hey I have been trying to reach you guys. If this is not an issue please just let me know and I'll stop calling." Me - leena you called before 5:15 we can't answer as we are working" Fiancé - " leena I will be there today at 5:30 to pick the boys up let's chat". Leena - " it's seems we have lost your trust. And we are now canceling your enrollment." - then proceeds to bring up handing the phone off is a violation as she had no other ground to stand on. She used the week and a half old excuse of my fiancé handing the phone to the teacher as a protocol violation...lol stop it. She then tries to explain that's it's for the love of the kids. Riiiiight Taking your frustrations with us out on the kids really exemplifies love. Up rooting friends and memories the built of the last two years is love? All a dad was doing is making his kids re safe and not bitten for a 5th time. So that brings me to this review. This all happened Friday. The weekend of Presidents' Day. So guess what schools are closed Monday how do we coordinate with work and get us a new school in time? Super inconvenient and very impulsive on her part. Should have said we will give you a week at the minimal. You know act like a parent/human being. Now for the honest review: My kids went here for just under two years. we were the 5th kid enrolled here so I have room to talk. They Simply can't handle the growth of the Leander. - Understaffed. - Now extremely Over priced for being so tiny in comparison to others. - waiting lines to drop off are INSANE. Especially on cold days. - Small play ground. like tiny and it ruins the kids shoes as they turn dark black. It's cheaply made but at the time we signed up there we only 10 kids and now at 75+ - dirty facility (ie: a yogurt was on the spilt on the ground when we dropped our boys off. We came back 8 hours later and it was still there just now full of ants) - Constantly closing down with minimal lead time for the parents. Never know what to expect really. Not to mention now all the new teachers have their kids go here and have "different rules" if you will. This wasn't a thing before. You will notice the kids behind the front desk right when you walk in. There is a tiny cubby behind the front desk to the right side just look in there and you will see what I am talking about. Their head teacher Ms. Elizabeth was "promoted" about 8 months ago and the place went to downhill from there. They hired ms Normandy who is under qualified and under staffed. From the missed emails, giving my child face rub with no Medical papers signed. Giving my child milk after saying he can't have milk etc. The owner leena or the GM normandy will comment something witty like "we are doing our best to accommodate" and then never proceed to change anything.. they are trained by the franchise to use catchy phrases like " we care" or " align our souls" " we Strive to be the best" but let me tell you from a person who has been paying 2600 a month for convenience ( literally next to my house) that It's all smoke and mirrors. It's turned into a franchise only trying to gain as much ROI as possible. which I totally get but it devalues the love and care that they preach but don't practice. But man I do have to say this was a blessing in disguise we got our kids set up at new school. GM has a PhD, met the owner IN PERSON first day and they gave us all their personal contact info incase we feel like we need to talk.

From the moment we enrolled our child, we felt the warmth, professionalism, and genuine care from the entire team. The owners, teachers, and staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and it's so clear that every decision they make is rooted in supporting each child's well-being and developmental growth. One of the things that stands out most is their dedication to nurturing children's natural curiosity. They create an environment where exploration and discovery are not just encouraged--they're celebrated. It's amazing to see how engaged the kids are every day, and as a parent, it's such a relief to know your child is in a place that values their individuality and creativity. We have to give a special shoutout to Ms. Yvette and Ms. Melva in the infant class. These two wonderful teachers are truly a gift. Their love, patience, and attentiveness shine through in everything they do. They're also professional task jugglers and should teach a masterclass on how to attend to multiple babies at the same time. For instance, Ms. Yvette is especially impressive with how seamlessly she handles task switching--whether she's feeding one baby or capturing a sweet moment of another, she never misses a beat. Ms. Melva on multiple occasion seamlessly feed multiple babies at the same time. It's remarkable how Ms. Melva and Ms. Yvette are able to juggle so many responsibilities while always staying present and cheerful with the kids. We can tell that this is not just another for-profit daycare/school, and that the owners as well as staff really do enjoy being around children, taking care of them, and supporting their growth and development. It's evident through Ms. Prasanthi and Mr. Ashok and the entire staff's interaction with every child that entered the school door, and it's most apparent through Ms. Prasanthi's ability to remember every child's name in the school as well as greeting them with a warm smile and little details about their lives. In short, we feel so lucky to have found The Goddard School of Pflugerville. It's more than just a daycare--it's a place where children are truly seen, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
